there was a member on here ages ago who built his own web site for the r30 that had the wiring diagrams on there but this was 2 years + ago, i think i saved them to my PC at home though, i'll check and add them here if i still have them.

badges i got off "ghostrider" about 2 years ago now.. www.r30.co.jp sell them all i'll get new pics on the weekend as i have to clean it a bit, the DR and HR have very similar interiors but the HR is a bit more plain

do it yourself front brake upgrade for the r30
rsx84 replied to rsx84's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
i looked into the Z31 set up for my r31 just 2 months ago, would be the same set up as using the r31 gear, the front brake set up is very different though, it will work but the rotor goes on then the hub over the top, don't know if you could go larger rotors or not with this set up, using the hr31 stuff you can fit the gtr calipars and rotors if you want to go that big i didn't look at the rear for the 31 as it is completly different, if the hand brake set up between the r30 and z31 is the same then there would be no reason they won't fit... -
http://www.j-spec.com.au/list/11445 power to weight might not be that good but it is what it is from the factory

Largest Wheel Size And Tyre Size
rsx84 replied to skybt1's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
i drove the HR around with 17" x 8" +22 on the rear and they were a good fit. i've just bought a set of 18" x 8.5" +20 and when they arrive i'll wack them on the HR and take some pics. -
Should We Bring These R31 Kits In?
rsx84 replied to STATUS's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
if those are the aus prices you would offer them for sale at then i'd say you would get a good order through the r31forum. if you could offer side skirts that would work on the 4door then you would get more orders, a GTS2 kit will set people back just under $2000 -
must have just been bad timing when i went to join. i'm guessing everything will be fixed up soon.. Cheers, Matt...

just a quick WTF??? i paid to be a QLD member on the 9/10 and have not heard anything, i've sent 2 PM's to SMR33 with no replys as yet. a simple "we got your payment" or "sorry for the delay" would be great but nothing makes me think QLD club is a crock... maybe i might get a answer here as i can't ask the questions in the club forum as i'm not a member?? Cheers, Matt...

it will bolt stright in, if you have an auto r31, tail shaft is perfect use the rb25de mounting bracket with the r31 engine mount... i put an auto r33 rb25det into my GXE.. PM me and i'll give you the details of the bloke who did the wiring for mine.. he might be anoyed cause you stole his forum name LOL you send him your engine loom and the loom from the r31 and he will send you back one that will mate your engine to the car. you use the r31 plug at the AFM for power to the ECU & injectors for the rb25. he has a HR31 with the NEO rb25det running the Triptronic auto box and the steering wheel controls...

not 100% sure as to what that refered too?? may-be just an interior thing?

for those who have not seen enjoy http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o-oE8YXs07g

for the money involved you might spool up slightly quicker but is the money worth it, it would be all custom work, heat sheilds to stop the boot heating up (and petrol tank) and cutting the rear bar to match the existing exhurst.

rsx84 replied to rsx84's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)

Classic Groug A Racing On Tv Last Weekend
rsx84 replied to rsx84's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
i think i ment to say "may be it was just on TV in QLD" my bad... going to the event would have been tops but getting it on TV was more then expected... -
last sunday i think it was.... a lot of coverage of the HR31 gibsons and even the sizzler car, i think i saw a glimps of a Peter jackson DR30 but not 100% sure... may be it was just on in QLD??

i think the problem is that over the years owners of these cars have made the changes to their liking, you see alot of interest in the import taillights and projectors from the aus sper owners, and i'd say it would have been the same for the Japanese based cars too. interchangeable parts got to love it. you would have to look at the brochure to see the original specs of each model.. My Aus GXE has import projectors and import taillights and turbo centre garnish, i even put in HR31 front seats hehe
-
i was looking at putting an SR into the HR30 back in the day but for the cost of the half cut i was able to put in the rb20det plus every thing else and still had change... the rb30e engines can be picked up nice and cheap these days and there are so many people who can wire it in its not funny.

Need Help Identifying Whistling Noise
rsx84 replied to Scy's topic in Classic & Vintage (1950's-1980's)
what kind of intake system do you have IE standard intake box, pod filter?? have you have the r31 for long? whisling nosie is generally an air leak but there is only the intake system in that corner, have you had any work done on the engine latly? do you notice any thing different when you drive it?? just trying to get an idea... -
the r30 pump is external and the r31 pump in internal.. most aftermarket places can get you a good external fuel pump, 500hp+ rated ones, for around $3-400, then any EFI place could put it in for an hours work ($70-90). $700 just for an r30 pump, thats no incentive to go original if you don't want a good aftermarket pump now go to a wrecker and get a stocko $50???
