Hahah yer scott i couldn't resist! i thought you would have been freaked out a little. Pretty sure the brumby has broken something in the box, when you accelerate it sounds like a clicking CV, when cruising along it makes the same noise / bearing noise also but that all goes when you push the clutch in and coast along. So im thinking i'll get a good condition gearbox and a new clutch to throw in, i'll also replace the CV boots and inspect them for wear. Thoughts?

do holden use the VDO headunits in the commo? you guys getting issues with the sat nav and AM reception on those units? In news today, offically have been promoted at work to head lotus tech/senior technician, also been given a payrise.

having all the bolts holding the gearbox on is excessive, 3 at most will do the job fine (i know a bloke that does this)

That B&M shifter in the chev was a dog, seriously i had 2 drunks trying to tell me how to hold up a little lever and move something then have to put the shifter all the way forwards then slam it backwards and that'll be first, then a tray load of drunks telling me to hurry up and a sober(ish) med student tell me how we are all going to die. Then there was the dash full of gauges....... Oh as for nistune, let scott stuff it up so you got someone to blame for your problems if it all goes wrong. Also in news, in less then 2 weeks time i am offically the main lotus technician in brisbane, i have training this year in sydney for the new models.

its a paintball gun jason. The ones the ref's at the indoor centre had some kick to them, we use to engage at point blank, most people would hold back and camp, i'd go crazy and just rush the point it worked well against the noobs

ravi i'll come around on the weekend sometime for you, plus i got stuff to drop you! Aircon is awesome to work in, you guys that are mechanics should really work in an aircon'd shop, we don't get above 24 degrees. Old shop was better, 30+ degrees outside and we could keep that place at around 19 degrees all day. I learnt the lesson with the metal gearknob, now i run a plastic nismo one instead, much nicer on the hand. The rust bucket is running so much smoother now, new gearbox mount finally fixed the vibration i got under hard acceleration.

Ravi: A split at that connect would most likely be causing you an issue. As for what i have for sale.... uh 33 parts? Diff, Nismo clear side inidicators, and a S1 RB25DET ecu. Thats all i can think of at the moment. straya day plans?? im really keen just to drink somewhere.
