Martin the XF's brakes are easy compared to the ones on the mazda -
just replaced the rear shoes and brake cylinders in the parents car, it shows i don't do much with drum brakes, took me 3 hours to do it.

Martin f*cking lol at that thread. If old mate pays more tax then you earn a year i think he should throw me a couple thousand to play with too. Ravi, baked beans can pressure tester sounds like an awesome tool, air leak anywhere in the pressure side of the system will cause you issues. The other way i have seen for checking for boost leaks is pretty dangerous, it involves removing bonnet, a back road and holding on tight.

yer suspended at my work normally means escorted off the premises, they know we have sticky fingers and will take anything even if its bolted down Although the word mistake at my work can range a fair bit, anywhere from a talk from the manager to a court case for manslaughter

wouldn't work in australia, 99% of drivers on the road can't drive so you'd have trains of people driving 10km/h under the speed limit hahha. Hopefully it works better then mercedes attempt at this

So it seems that big thick sound proofing/ heatsheild mat that sits on the fire wall doesn't like to be welded or to be near welding. Just had a minor fire

Drivers side is almost finished, welding in shorts and singlet is fun, except for when you get sparks and burn a couple little holes in your arm. Hopefully will have the passengers side started tomorrow so i can get the car running again before thursday night

urgh, grind, weld, seal. Now i need to wait for the sealant to dry before i can primer it

yer those camera's stand out pretty easy. The song "theres a hole in my bucket" come to mind when i have pulled my car apart. Got the drivers side cleaned up and ready for metal to be cut out and new stuff welded in, passengers side is worse. This will take all week

YAY!!! nistune !!!! GTS is coming apart today for the week, time for epic rust removal so i can put the carpet back into my car without it getting wet everytime i drive it in the rain or park it not undercover
