i think I'll just need 1 34 GTR and then I'll use the other 3 skylines I got. Should be no probs fitting everyone in. The bridesmaid dresses aren't very fat and neither are the bridesmaids thank god haha I just gotta organise some other important stuff first before i make a final decision though

holy crap, didnt expect this many replies. Thanks for all the replies and ideas guys. Gonna talk the the boss and see what she thinks about it all theres me and the missus plus 5 groomsmen and 5 bridesmaids, so thats 12. I'm thinking 4 cars, 4 people in each car. Was only really thinking about 1 34 GTR as we have 2 33 GTS25t's and 1 GT-T already, but if the price is right more would be great! As you can probably tell me and the missus love skylines hehe only reason I haven't got my own GTR is because have had to save up for the wedding. Anyway, will get back to u all soon Thanks again

well Nizmo, my dads a mechanic and him and his boss told me that the overdrive switch is only meant to be used above 70 km's/h and that having it on while drivin on normal ctreets could cause damage, because it forces the engine to stay in third gear instead to changin to fourth and reving lower. But, theyre used to aussie cars like falcons and corollas and the like, so the purpose of these switches in japan spec cars could be different to their purpose here. In my opinion, it rev's the same and changes gears the same when you take o/d off, i havent noticed any difference. But with poer on it changes quite a bit later, especially when u give it, mine changed from second to fourth at 7 grand once! hey, when you's race do you's start in 1st then go to 2nd then to drive, or just give it straight from drive?
-
thanks heaps hippy, that did help quite a bit actually. But i think im gonna keep on drivin without overdrive on local streets, and turn it on for the freeway cheers

hey guys just wanted to know exactly how the overdrive button works. The guy at the dealership where i bought the car said that in overdrive it ran in 4 gears, and that with overdrive off it ran in 3 gears. But, i was testing it today and doin 60 with overdrive on it was doin 1500 revs, then i switched overdrive off and it went down a gear and was doin just over 2000 revs. does this mean that it runs in 4 gears with overdrive off and 3 gears with it on? it aceelerates faster with overdrive off too. Could this be the reason why the car hasnt been goin as fast as i thought it would since ive been driving with overdrive on since i bought it a month ago.

haha, BigAl, u sound like my type of guy! i say down with all holden's and their owners! except maybe vl's, at least they're powered by the proper stuff! hmm. isn't that ironic, the mighty flagship of the holden range once had to be powered by a nissan engine to give it any form of credibility!

Cops Read Websites - Grow Up Melb Ccr!!

2rismo, i think you brought a very valid point. Warpspeed, sure if 'once the bonnet is up' we may be 'stuffed', but that doesnt refute 2rismo's argument of youth being much more targeted than older drivers driving similar cars. It sounds a lot like age discrimination to me! maybe someone should consult the equal opportunity commission on the legality of police actions. It doesn't too different to cases that I've heard about where police pulled over aboriginals driving nice cars because there was a higher chance that in those cases the cars could have been stolen. I say it's a case of age discrimination. -

i agree that if you're doing over the speed limit, then if you get booked you only have yourself to blame. But i don't agree on how the cops put so much man-power into stopping road infringements, especially those comitted by sports cars. Especially when there are much more important matters that they should be dealing with, such as the scum drug dealers, murderers, rapists, car thiefs, gangs etc. I think the whole of society would be more thankfull if more effort were put into these areas then fines for not driving to the laws. But, i guess the cops don't make money when they catch murderers, rapists etc -
hey, does anyone know the difference in quarter mile times or speed for auto 33 gts-t's compared to manual ones?

just cause epa regulations exist, doesnt mean that they are fair and should actually exist! i was told by a mate that blow off's are illegal, not sure if its true, but if it is then thats just a ****en joke! i bet no one can give a decent reason as to why it should be illegal. It makes me wonder though as to why cops don't put more effort into acting on crimes that the public actually cares about. Maybe murders, rapes, robberies, assaults etc. You know actual bad stuff that is damaging and harmfull to people! I guess cops must be frustrated having to drive the joke of a car called the Holden crapodore haha. More likely it's the rampant corruption. -
All i have to say is that V8's are cheap power! throw out all the technology developed by the Japs and implemented into the Skyline and just chuck on another 2 cylinders 'and she'll be right mate'. Thats how these guys think anyway. They don't realise that the technology in Crapodore v8 engines hasnt changed that much at all since the first monaro was released back when 'bazza was knee high to a grasshopper' haha. Japanese cars however have revolutionised the way engines and performance cars are made with up to date technology implemented in every model released. Plus VT's and VX's look like stretched out 121's! =P
