  1. And this is why we all get confused...... I just realised that there are 2 models within the RS range, that could also be yours, the 25t-RSV (Prime edition) you'll know this from the wood and leather interior. Or it could be a 25t RSV (ordinary type cloth interior). That's why the 2 spec sheets need to be read together..... then it's simple (not)!!
  2. Yeah it's true that not all 2wd are type B, and Dale (Stinky Rooster) has it pretty right with the models. Most of the RWD models can't be imported as they are from the other ranges RS & XG with non-turbo or RB20's. So that's why the RWD is less common in Australia. Pretty common in NZ though, so if you ever need parts, you might try www.trademe.nz (ebay for kiwi's). All I do know is that there is nothing like planting your foot on a wet road, getting on boost on a corner and the car feels like it's on rails (4wd). It's a very complex intelligent sytem, which IMO is one of the main reasons that I bought the Stagea. BTW the rating on your car's fuel economy is the best in the range. 9.2l/100km other series 2, 9.4l/100km. It will have an LSD for sure, std fitment to RWD with RB25-DET. Enjoy it anyway, you still have one excellent car.
  3. Oh well forget that! Looks like another rainy Wednesday evening, I am sure that they will be cancelled. Hopefully Saturday will be OK.
  4. Hi, Yeah there is such a thing as an RSV, it is also part of the Type B range in the series 2. These cars are indeed 2WD. So the corect name of your car is a TypeB 25t RS-V. Like everyone says you may have some come-back if it was advertised as an AWD or RS4. The finishes are similar on most cars. The Stagea has 20 models from 3 different series. These are XG, RS, and Type B. The Type B has only 2 models 25t RS-V, (yours 2WD auto and and the 25t RS4-S (4WD manual). I hope that this helps. If you want to PM me I'll send you the excel spreadsheets of all models. I have one for specs (dimensions engine, etc) and one for options, (interior finishes and other options). John
  5. For anyone else interested, a couple of us Stagea boys are going to light up the tyres tomorrow (not easy in 4wd!). See ya there! Come over and say hi. Any Stageas can pick up their free SWAT sticker there too!
  6. Any more progress with this.... I just tried it, says it is a shared IP address. I am going to print some up before the weekend, and would like more time rather than less. Thanks
  7. Yep surprised alright!! I hope that was your spare bonnet....! I can think of many easier ways to gain a few more kw's without hacking holes in your car.... each to their own I guess....
  8. Hey Yudi Try using google maps, and either get a fix, or zoom in 'till you find the closest street. The put this in your GPS.... I WONT be seeing you there.... I don't even know where Melbourne is!! (or care) haha have a good time guys
  9. Hmmm I also thought that maybe we should do some T-shirts... same (or similar design) whadya think? I can do them and they'll be real cheap.... about $15 each, white only (have them in stock), Iron on logo etc. comments please.
  10. I'll be there and maybe a couple of other Stageas AFAIK. I'll bring the $25 can someone bring a members pack.... already filled in forms a few months ago.
  11. Yeah Art they do, otherwise the Nissan spawned brain thinks that the wheels are slipping.... and starts driving the car in 4WD to compensate. There are some really good tyre calculators online now.... if you're thinking of changing they can be useful. Otherwise do a search, this subject is well covered.
  12. FOR SALE 1 x cargo blind in grey. it will fit either S1 or S2. Has very slight bends underneath, (and I mean slight, and they aren't visible from normal position). I took it as part payment on a job, so $80.00 to the 1st taker. (incidentally I paid $100 in Japan for mine). PM me if interested. Located SOR, Perth, WA.
  13. Yeah, and if you live in Townsville TWAT !!
  14. You could try contacting Kiwi Car carriers, they might do it. It would have to be well packed though (I imagine). Talk to them first. Nearly everyone bringing in cars uses them now. It would definitely be the cheapest..... quarantine could be your biggest hassel.
  15. 155mm wide x 55 high. incidentally I didn't mention that the original stickers were Stagea Web for Advanced Tune. So NSW maybe can be N.S.W.A.T (NSW Australian Team) Vic .... V.S.W.A.T (Victorian Stagea With Attitude Team) Etc, Etc Maybe you can think up better ones...... brain storming always works best.....('cept very early in the morning!).
  16. Hi Guys Just for a laugh, I thought that I'd reproduce the SWAT stickers that a few cars had on import. The original SWAT sticker was for the Japanese owners "club", the website now doesn't seem to work. I have modified the sticker for WA members of the forum. So it now reads Stagea Western Australian Team. I always thought they were kinda cute/kitch/very Japanese. As I said it's just for a laugh.... if anyone wants one, I'll print up a few and give them out at meetings. If anyone wants one for other states (overseas) I'd be glad to modify it (with whatever). All you need to pay for interstate is the postage. Cheers John (already made 20 of these) This means Australia in Japanese This means Australia in Japanese (using Japanese lettering) So far these people have shown interest..... Jippa Wildcat Red Sky Joe 26f (I think) Stage Name Fuzzy Lil Bobby 260 Sleepy Night Brycey Oddy Man Stagpower Goldzilla Madaz R33 I have decided to do 20 of each of the Kyoshu & Kunji stickers and send them to one person in each state. Can I have nominations please. I will do up the designs of the T-shirts soon and post 'em up. But I think that I will start a separate thread to this one..... it's already getting confusing!!
  17. Hi guys, saw this on trade-me NZ, interesting wagon. An awful lot of this stuff looks very familiar..... 'specially the tiptronic. http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-128078645.htm There's also a Stagea on there advertised as disabled..... with an 1830cc motor!! Not sure if it isn't the car that's disabled with this small donk in it! http://www.trademe.co.nz/Trade-Me-Motors/C...n-107403752.htm
  18. Welcome to the forums.... Hope you got the heated seat option!! Snow button AFAIK only starts the car off in 2nd, don't think that it would do too much harm. I've had it on once or twice (accidentally), didn't seem to do much. I thought that the car was pretty sluggish. I bet that you are actually glad of that 4WD system in that stuff. I heard that all the snow disappeared this morning so just as well that you braved the dark hours. It'll be back!!
  19. I am probably going to go Kirstie. I don't think that Iolanda and Angelina will though. So Dale if you want a ride.... let me know.
  20. 10) John & Iolanda
  21. Just another conversion from a stock RSfour. You can tell by the cloth, and if you look carefully it still has the park brake release. At that price they have to be kidding. It's not worth as much as a well kept standard car. oh if you disagree, then you buy it!
  22. Sorry, my main point was that they don't have to destroy them..... they can send them on with the car, even if they do remove them. My complier said...'I knew that you were going to re-fit them so I saved you the trouble and left them in"....suits me. I know the technicalities of the self levelling stuff, but when you are allowed to go and fit 4000K lights to anything, it doesn't really make sense. Most of the dazzling of lights on the road are due to poor adjustment not to brightness.
  23. When I had mine complied, I asked if they could to be left as is. I chose a complier that agreed.... another said "no we have to put the globes on a grinder and destroy them".... What a crock of crap!! After getting the stag and looking carefully at the lights, I would say that there isn't any real reason not to allow them. I have also sat in front of the car and didn't find them any brighter looking at them than Halogens. However (and this may not seem to fit), they are incredibly bright when driving, with an amazing spread of light. The high beams were yellow in comparison. I changed these to Navara Arctic Blue Halogens (4000 deg K) the high beams just about match the Xenons and cost only about $38 each. The higher temperature is whiter, but is shifted towards the blue end of the spectrum. Everything in reach of the lights looks whiter, especially road markings and signs. The light is closer to daylight. Works the same way as your Mum washing your jocks in Persil.... you get whiter whites, (but they are actually bluer)!! haha The thing that I like about the lights is the "cut-off" that they have. They don't go near anyones mirror or on-coming traffic.
  24. I'm running Nankang 245x40x18's on mine.... no issues whatsoever. Have run them on the strip and track, no real grip problems, can't get wheelspin, but they do start to squeel when taking bends at about 80km/h + (what woudn't with std suspension). For the money I think that they are really good. Paid $165 each at compliance. I also find that they are wearing ok. Done nearly 15,000km no noticable wear.
