Yeah I know you can get the cars resprayed. But honestly, would you buy a resprayed car from Japan? I sure woudn't. For a start you don't know whats under it, and it kills the resale value. Only reason I chose this one is cos it's factory. Suposedly so is the aero package, it is listed in the brochures, but I don't really know what it consisted of. Roll on January. We got the missing blind today in Japan for $100. So now it isn't missing anything..... (I hope)!

Actually Steve there is..... 1. start the car earlier and switch the aircon to lowest fan setting but coolest temp. By the time that you drive off the interior may already have dropped a few degrees, (I am assuming that the car isn't too hot to start with. 2. Make sure the venting is set to interior only, or you are trying to cool the world down not just your car! 3. When you take off try to avoid setting the fan higher, as this will take the cold out of the condenser quicker and the air con will kick in more. 4. If the car is really hot, drive a while with the windows down to get rid of the hottest air. 5. PARK IN THE SHADE. 6. Move to Tasmania. You probably know all the above, but some ppl don't.

Hi Guys Need to sell my XF ute to help finance my soon to arrive Stagea. The ute is pretty basic, (like most Fords), but goes well. It haas had all the rust cut out, and has new paint which is white with glitter over and then clear coated all in 2 pack. The tailgate is new as is the removable floor panel and the fuel tank and fuel cap. The steering was done a year ago, and it has new shocks (on front) Brakes done, Interior looks great with new seat covers PUT ON PROPERLY. and a custom centre seat armrest to match, (took a whole day). Tonneau cover is good, tray has been completely painted in fleck paint. Hs mags and ok tyres. It woudl make a good tow car, or as a driver while your fixing your 1st love! Price is very reasonable considering all the work done. $3800 ono Willing to haggle, I have no use for it, as I have bought another ute, (flatbed) and for my business this is better. Motor is good, pulls well, it's the 4.0 lt carb version with 3 speed auto column change, and a 3rd seat in middle. Thanks for looking. This car could be really hard to comply, if not impossible. $32k.... you've got to be kidding. you can get a nice original RS 260 for that! Who knows about the engineering on this.... someone will probably buy it, good luck! Looks don't really amount to much, anyone of our cars could look as good or better. For a 98 25t RSV its an $18,000 car with a front end and kit. I wouldn't touch it with yours!! Actually makes me wonder why they put this shit on there, this car has to have the seats replaced, the brakes replaced, possibly wheels. Yeah it's cheap but needs to be, suspension has to be back to stock for compliance and all the plumbing changed back to original too. Wonder how hard it's been driven?

Hey Kristie... I worked out the wood grain thing...... sometimes it's nice just to enough without having too much . Which I guess is why women have two boobs and other animals (cops for instance) have up to 16 Teats..... Can't imagine what the world would be like if women were like this!!! Probably overdone!!!! like my steering wheel with more woodgrain. HAha

Hey Steve thanks for that info. I am going on the auction sheet. Most of the options were listed as factory options. They may not be, true. However I know that some cars come out of factories with anything but standard equipment. If you are a Nissan exec, or "in the club" so to speak you can order anything. In the car industry they are known as IPO's (internal production orders), esentially you can order anything as an option. I guess I'll know more (maybe) when the car arrives. The car is listed as having the "aero pakage" which is why I think that the mirrors might be factory. But maybe not. The Prime edition is the most optioned anyway, so it makes sense that special orders might be put on this, like the paint. Anyway, regardless of all that, I am sure that I am going to enjoy it for a long time. I'll let you know how I go with the nav etc.

Just got a 2000 RS4V Prime edition, with lots of factory options, aero mirrors, aero spoiler, kit, leather, in dash TV/DVD/Nav. Bayside Blue. 18's still in Nippon, arrives 19th Dec into Brissy for compliance then over to Perth.

Hi Kirstie The mirrors are factory options, to be honest that was one very attractive thing about the car, apart from the colour (of course). It's top of the range, and had 9 factory options!! Price, well ask me at the next run. Wood grain all over the wheel would / could make it too slippery. I like the wood, it's a bit more luxurious, also really wanted leather. We went over budget a bit!! But not too much. It was a real a real toss up between this or a Yellow RS4S, which was fairly stock, (with 85,000km). The colour did it..... yeah really it was the colour. In 3 months of looking it was the only one that I saw apart from an rs4s which was Non-Turbo and couldn't be imported, (had no kit or anything either). Definately Happy Jan.......

Its a 2000 model RS4 prime edition, with in dash TV/DVD/Navi.... anyone know if you can get the nav to work in Aus? I love the wheels too, I am really happy that the car looks better than the auction photo. Motor and trans checked out ok. Now I just can't wait to get behind the wheel.

I think that wherever we go we'd better organise to go the long way, and find some other points of interest on the way. Looking forward to reading more ideas as the voting ends.
