Yeah Dale..........FAIL (I always wated to post that up, ha ha) He doesn't have an ATESSA system to worry about. Great installation. You might consider putting some vents in the boxes. These would allow the air to move better. I liked the way that you used the existing screw holes. All in all very neat, specially with limited tools.

Gee I really thought that people would get into this! A chance to have a great cruise, do a bit of bonding in some nice locations! Ha ha..... oh well, I guess that the majority of Stagea owners, bought them to be different and so most of us are indivualistic. Goes with the territory 'spose. I'll give this a few more days and post it onto the main SAU page. At least it looks like 2 Stagea's will be going........ the rest can sit at home an whinge about never having any meetings organised.
-
Wow I would have come, but only 2 days notice!! I missed it until 1:15pm.......Wouldn't have made the meet point

OOPS I just realised that I can't make it on the 20th & 21st ........I have an expo on. So my preference is now 6-7th June. Please note this is not for couples only, just for people who want to mix, and appreciate the country side, driving their Stagea and at the same time making a donation to the economy by burning fuel. We will have numerous stops, (no doubt!) for Food, Fuel, and photos. If you decide to bring children, that's your choice. I just want to make the driving a little easier, (and the get together at the pub), so that I don't have to keep hearing "are we there yet" etc. I have tried to plan this as a break! For some reason I cannot edit the post, and take out the dates! If a moderator can help here that'd be great.
-
Yeah Sean we will have to pay as soon as I get the booking date sorted. (so that I don't get lumbered with 12 extra rooms for Iolanda & I)!! Thanks for the support.

Some of you may have read that for ages we've been thinking of a run to some towns in the South West. Of course we all have different ideas of what this should entail. It also seems that it is difficult to suit everyone (actually read impossible). So I am organising a run through Mandurah, Bunbury, Collie, and an overnight stay at Qunidanning Hotel (which has to be one of the quaintest hotels anywhere). I am aiming for the 6th, 13th or 20th of June. Personally I am going to leave our daughter in Perth and make a little more romantic. All the accomodation is in Double rooms. The run will be restricted to 16 people. Whether you bring a partner or not is up to you. The accomodation cost is $70/two persons for Room and Continental Breakfast and $80 with cooked breakfasts. $50 for a single person, and $60 for cooked breakfast option. You will still sleep in a double or Queen size bed regardless. The 'Pub' part would rival any English pub, with good hospitality and a great log fire to boot. Be aware there are NO SHOPS in Quindaning, just the Hotel, PO, and a couple of houses! This would be a great place to have a few beers and tell a few yarns around the fire (or piano) before final orders and bed. Check it out at http://www.quindanninghotel.com We will come back through Dwellingup and Pinjarra on the Sunday, Probably stopping in Pinjarra for a bite on the way back. I can promise some nice winding roads and great scenery. I am going to leave this as a Stagea WA run, but if we can't get enough takers then I throw it open on the Skyline forum. Please give me an indication of your interest.

Western Australian Stagea Cruise & Bbq

Turn into main entrance off Gt Eastern Highway. Turn right at roundabout. We will be in the car park on the right. This is the closest car park to Gt Eastern Highway near the dDome car park.... Look for lots of station wagons that look like Volvo's! With a Stagea flag in front of them. -
I had one done 2 years ago...... runs fine. Cost was $630... I am happy with it............. Runs pretty well. I also have a Maxima of the same year. They come std with cruise. I would think that maybe this could be modded to fit the Stag. The control buttons are better. They steering wheel is the same. I have posted pics of mine before..

Hey Charlie, might be worth updating the first post so that time and place is easier to find in here. Tim, it's a BBQ run, so you may want to bring a bit of food and drink..... the rules are behave yourself, no fools please, speeders or racers........ See y'all tomorrow....... Ahhh, just saw it in the heading........ oh well it's on the 1st page again now! -

Just thought I'd bump it up, in case anyone in WA is looking for something Stagea-ish to do.......... Only 1 week away now. -
YUK! why would they even make a Cerifo wagon when the Stagea is Cefiro based!!! Anyway, this is bit better, back from a time when cars were made of real steel, 1961 Chrysler New Yorker YAHOO!

Damn, we'll be in Malaysia until the 30th........... But Appealing Signs & Graphics will donate $100 towards Ashleigh's trip. Sure hope that you get a good turn-out. Here's the best deal that I can come up with.........if anyone mentions this post and gets any printing, sign work, stickers done etc, we'll donate the profit of any sale to Dale's daughter. Check out our website www.appealingsigns.com.au for all the things that we can do. All purchases must be paid for in full before the trip, (doesn't include any orders from our existing customers and I'm gonna limit it to $3000 donation). So now's the time to purchase all those odd stickers that you've been saving for! http://www.appealingsigns.com.au/default.htm

And when you REALLY hate someone........... go an buy a nice feed of prawns, keep all the heads, put them in the blender with a bit of water, pour down front vent at bottom of windscreen........... the smell just gets worse and worse, and never comes out........... they'll end up selling the car!!
-
Yeah guys, thanks for organising AND supplying the grub!! I'll buy next time! Appetite satisfied!! But holy moly was I thisty all day, probably Chuckies special beans combined with those chilli snags. Pity only about 2% of all the stags in Perth showed........ 5 cars..... no wonder it's so long between meets. Always the same, lotsa promises and that's all. Still it made up for the usual run of silver stags, this time we had one of each colour and no repeats. Look out for a new Stinky Rooster Cruise to help his daughter get to her dance venue overseas. Now that Dale is on the look out for another job......... I'll be turning up for sure, (unless it's between 15th and 30th March - Overseas)! Hope that you don't mind me posting it here Dale........ can't get too much advertising!! Maybe we could combine this in the next run?

Yeah well maybe you all better check the Yen/Dollar rate. This accounts for most of it. Autechs are now running around 1.4 - 1.7 million Yen. A lot cheaper than a year or so ago. The exchange rate means that landed & on the road, they are a fair bit more expensive. Even 2 years later my car (still selling at over a million yen in Japan) would be more expensive today!! I aint complaining though! Any Autech in the mid to low 20k's is still pretty good buying. See what the equivalent Skyline sells for. It's only this economic downturn that has made the market fall, that and maybe a glut of cars on Australian roads. Anyway, anyone that was serious buying an Autech should have bought RBNT's......... bargain of the year!!
-
I'll bring the Stagea flag, and the appetite!! I only left that car park at 11:00pm last night, it was the 2nd meet in the Bushfire Appeal Cruise. About 1500 cars..... pretty crazy. Most were well behaved. I'm gonna be at City West early......about 8:30am CU there.
-
Hey guys, I think that Kings Park or City Beach don't make much difference. So why not stick to City Beach. We can organise the next one from there, maybe make that Kings Park, or other. 9:30's OK, should be starving by then, and maybe awake too!!
-
I feel that Chuckie's right, 8:00am is a bit early...... not for me though (check my post time)! However, I would rather go to someones place too, or somewhere a little cosier. I think it'd be less distracting and IF we are serious about organising some regular cruisin' then that may make it easier. Not trying to rain on Jippa's breakfast idea though. If the breakfast bbq is gonna be on, I still reckon later, say 9am. I won't stay around after though; Sailing in the afternoon, need to be in South Perth at 12 noon. There are some really nice spots around Perth to do this other than city beach, but that's a good place to start. Gets a +1 from me.

Western Australian Stagea Cruise & Bbq

Good Idea! Why don't you add this into the"Big Cruise" post or start a new post so that people don't get confused. Might be worth even extending to to all the Skylines that are going on the "Big Cruise". -
The leather seats look like seat covers to me. Personally I would never buy anything from JAD. Still with this one I don't have to! Looks like a Std RS4V to me by the door inserts and manual seats. I don't think that an R34 front is worth that much. Why do they always stick those GTR badges in the grill, it sure isn't a GTR and never will be!

SAU Large Cruise is on the 7th March and a few are going on that anyway, (everyone's welcome). Can we have a show of hands for Sat 28th, Sun 1st March or Sun 8th March. It seems that we are most likely to go to Churchmans Brook which will include a BBQ and a few photo opportunites. How do I know this? A Gnome in a YELLOW station wagon told me!! -
The only way to know is to ask someone to run your VIN number through FAST. This will give you all the specs of it as it left the factory.
-
Nice buying buddy, good to see it coming to WA. That's probably the only car that I'd swap mine for!! (apart from a Bayside Blue R34 GTR, or an R35, or .......)

Some wagons just don't have the room of the Stagea

Hey Charlie as you know I'll be up for it, and help organise too. If you want. You may remember that I mentioned combining a run with the Forest Rally which in Bussleton and Nannup in April. I am going anyway as an official in the event. If you guys come down I can organise some time off to cruise instead. I am going to Malaysia on the 15th March til the 30th. So 2nd weekend in March is OK, for me. Depends on what you have in mind though. Why not just do a "normal" day run with a fixed destination............ ie Churchman's Brook, Pinjarra, Mandurah, Yanchep (is it still smokey?) We could also consider gatecrashing the The Boyup Brook Ute and Truck Muster 14th - 17th Feb..... you did say that you wanted a run in the South West!! After all a Ute is just an unfinished Station Wagon........... I can make up some stickers saying this if anyone's is interested in going!!
