    Fun Car Rally

sounds like a good day out. Something different and not so boring driving from one carpark to another I'm in
  2. Over here in the west, we say nuts and bolts...where is that pic taken?
  3. hi and welcome
  4. would hate to see a repeat of last time, think ill pass. happy birthday.
  5. Well I went and got my creaking and clunking diagnosed at WA Suspension in ozzy park! (FREMANTLE store is CLOSED ) It is a camber pin and my castor rod bushes need replacing. Stagpower, ONLY reason I went to get my clunking diagnosed, was we found my left hand front tyre split and bald on one part of the edge! Will upload pics soon.
  6. the guys at WA Suspension in Fremantle will help you. Or yeah go by Sydneykids suspension group buy... thats next on my list
  7. yeah buy the wreck off them. You've already made $5k by keeping the stereo, then you can sell the parts separately... got any pics of the car? Mitchy paid $4k for his wreck. Well worth it in the end!! I don't get why you insured the car for $17 then added a 5k stereo to that... total insured should be 22k Kylie
  8. Glad its going again Be sure to run on BP Ultimate from now on to stop the build up... and something I added to my tank was REDLINE Carbon Clean stuff which also improves my fuel economy
  9. Mitchy stop posting under my name
  10. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...howtopic=141454 This thread should help you out a bit. There are a few work shops south of the river, Xspeed is one that I would recommend. They diagnosed my broken manifold stud as soon as they heard the awful ticking sound... I was pretty panicked about a ticking motor!!
  11. introubleagain, which part of perth are you? Plenty of different workshops to take the car too.. PM for details. Could be airflow meter...
  12. cowley smash repair.. its in the stickied "The Consolidated Workshop Thread"
  13. for the record, that was mitch that posted under my name.. I have no idea what an AVCR is
  14. you have to get to the screws from under the roof lining first And when you source some cheap replacements, let me know
  15. no point using someone else's AVCR to tune it, as when you unplug it, it wont be controlling the boost, and doesnt the control unit store the settings anyway? thus erasing the owners settings, and you will need to get it re-done when you get yours fixed/replaced.
  16. R33 S1 is steel front, ceramic rear R33 S2 is nylon front, ceramic rear R34 is nylon front, ceramic rear nylon wheel spools up a bit quicker.. but max on all of them is about 12-14psi.. ive heard of turbo's dieing at 10psi, and then i had mine running ~13psi for 3 years without a problem.
  17. you might get lucky with the transmission i suppose.. its not like your chucking a ferrari F1 box in it. i really doubt it having a manual when S1's didnt come with manuals would even cross their minds, and i know of a few aristo's that have been brought over with manual boxes in them too, when they never came with them from the factory. you could always check with raws/sevs and see what they say on the matter..
  18. Mitch says - Mechanical And no probs, just msg when you want to come over
  19. sent you a PM Chi.
  20. you think?
  21. Hey Shenron, since when has Mandurah been a country town? I'd prefer a long cruise to a destination like gingin or guilderton (nice cruise, great place to swim)
  22. Hey Chi, I can't remember my password for MSN so can't sign in.. Sounds like your mechanic doesn't know what he's doing. You bolted up the old turbo without gaskets? That would be why its leaking oil! If you buy new gaskets from NISSAN, and bolt up the new turbo (cause the old one will blow a shit load of smoke on high boost and has shaft play) everything will run sweet, providing your mechanic knows what he is doing. I can vouch that the motor never leaked oil. The only oil it did leak was from the power steering pump lines (he crushed them putting the motor in lol).. I hate oil on driveways and blasted mitch when the power steering started to leak.. So if the motor is leaking oil now, I'd check to make sure all bolts are tightened to the correct torque and all gaskets are new. If your mechanic doesn't know what to do with the dipstick, take it to Top Racing and get them to do it. Better to be safe then sorry. Kylie
  23. you need to buy new gaskets Chi... you wouldnt want to use old ones...or would you ? they are in the shed, you're welcome to them.. Have you put the good turbo on without gaskets?
  24. they are high tensile reverse drill bits... You can buy them at bunnings amongst the drill bits in the tool section. Have a read on the packet on how to use them before you decide which way to go. I'd personally drain the oil, take off the sump and hammer out the plug, which was what Mitch was going to do, but never got around to doing. If you've already drained the oil and put 5ltrs in, your levels should be fine.
  25. my car screeched too. Tried the goo and worked for the next few start ups, but nothing beats new belts Chi another idea would be 'easy outs' or something similar or what Dale said
