no R31 GTS? awesome line up of cars dude!
-
i probably shouldnt have said 'frame it right' as there is no right or wrong, but i said it because the sun seems to attract my eyes first and being slap bang in centre of frame my eyes just keep going back there instead of exploring the whole scene out properly. probably just me tho, its an awesome shot otherwise (exposure works so well, sky isnt too blown out and its not so dark that the car loses too much detail), i just would have tried getting more balance in there with different framing. like, sitting the sun over the end of the straight so the eyes grab the sun then follow the track back to the car, but other people probably dont see things in the strange ways i do. hence why im a bike messenger and not media.

nice! this could have been awesome if you framed it right (ie step left about 4 paces, lol) need to shoot at much slower shutter speeds tho, looks like these cars are parked and the smoke is photoshopped in

RAWR!!! Haha, this is how I entertain myself these days while waiting for new jobs. Got a best time of 12 seconds for 2 laps of this office. Almost got 11 but clipped the doorway into the reception area and almost came off, haha. So much fun. Reminds me of my life a few years back. Not sure why, but I really miss those days. Knowing you have no further to fall is strangely reassuring. whats happening with the monthly threads? start posting! getting sick of seeing my crappy snaps in here, need something good to look at!

double post, sorry lol this was my photo of the day, lol. cant wait till this is finished. will finally be able to leave the camera at home
-
^that would suit a square crop i reckon. the world needs more square crop!
-
i have the G11 and think its an awesome camera. the bang for the buck you get is simply amazing. in my opinion the quality of the images it produces can be just as good as a similar priced DSLR the only main drawback i can see is the images tend to be a bit softer due to the lens, but a bit of sharpening in photoshop/gimp/whatever can fix that easily

may have lost a client, but gained access to another rooftop, lol
-
im not a fan of spot coloring but the photo is good. (forgot to straighten the horizon? the bricks dont line up nicely at the top and left edge of frame ) maybe remove the color from the windows/interior too so it balances better? you got a big swathe of black/white and red and then bam, there is this green tint in the windows. that last shot is pure awesome!

love the water drops. so nice and crisp! heres a couple of mine that i rasterbated and stuck up using printed a4 sticky label sheets (1up) this one is gone sadly. only lasted about a week. this has a couple of rips now, but is still complete and up after a few good weeks. which im kinda happy with seeing it cost $30 alone for the printing, lol.

meh, i'll just climb them when you are all home sleeping but seriously, what course etc do you have to do? im stupid, but probably intelligent enough to pass the courses
-
so, i just go up to the gate and ask and they will let me drive a crane? or...

its been three days, so here we go... see the rainwater tank on the roof of the old building in the shadow? its on a crumbling concrete platform which is only accessible from a ladder that is on a landing outside the window of the ladies toilets on the top floor, lol. one of the scarier roofs ive topped cause you never know when some chick might come into the toilet and possibly lock the window. lol.
-
its not quite the same if your allowed to be up there having said that tho, what kind of job would i need to do that, lol. im probably stupid enough to waste money changing careers just for a few photos and looking at this, are you working on the carpark on franklin street near bentham? if so you may have seen me watching for a few hours from the young street car park the other day, lol
-
finally got onto the CML building in adelaide. thought this was going to be a definite no-go, but i quietly followed a worker onto the site and managed to sneak off without being heard, lol. proper ninja styles, was such a rush! havent processed many pics yet, but heres a couple...
-
cheers. and yeah 49 days left. still cant believe ive managed to stick with it, wanted to quit a few times, lol
-
some more stuff from work... who thought apartments under a flight path was a good idea? jaywalkers, haha. if your going to ignore a red at least look to see that nothing is about to wreck your day. somehow i missed everyone, lol. not long till daylight savings... cant wait spotted a heap of these trails yesterday. even saw one on when i was on the bus, it looked awesome in the sunset
-
yeah, used raterizergui (http://www.rasterizer.de/) on the mac. printed onto A4 1up sticky labels, cause im too slack to make up wheat paste and carry it around with a brush i want to make a few massive ones, but they just cost too much. not sure what pics to use either
-
some more stuff from the bike messenger armed with a point and shoot... really helps if you bring the thing you screw into your camera... so you can actually attach it to the tripod sitting in your bag! *facepalm, haha* would hate to be the one climbing this ladder all day. although, would love to check out the view from the top cant wait till this is finished, hopefully some more clients so i have more work to do. How cool is this, if you stand in just the right spot at just the right time a few cool things start lining up. Check the reflection of 182 Vic Square completing 31 Flinders street! Love how the shadow from Telstra House hits the building in the foreground inline with the edge of 26 Flinders. Freaky, lol. from my phone. stuck up a photo of mine in the topham mall free for all street art spot. council started ripping it down the other day tho. i guess thats a 'no thankyou' then, haha. this is still here surprisingly. one corner started getting ripped down but i managed to stick it back up. this cost $30 to make, lol. fairly sure i wont be doing this any more. i should try and upload the full size of this one, but im slack. pano taken from the roof of our 7th largest building here in adelaide. 7th largest still being only 73 meters, haha. it is 19 floors high and located at number 19 on the street too. oh to live in a real city EDIT: oh and took this at 1/20th the other day. point and shoots suck for panning, only 2 points of contact make it a bit shit, lol. framing sucks a bit too, lol.

An old spot revisited.

*tries to find like button* dayum! thats a sick shot!
-
the only good thing about leaving home around 7.30am to catch a bus... makes the cold mornings not so bad, lol
-
thought id try a contre-jour hdr, lol. and heres one from today. thought id shoot this scene from the total opposite angle to what im used to
-
maybe for some, lol. i dont have bench vice or tools to tap a thread tho, so bit more of a challenge
-
hey nice! i was thinking about something like this for doing 'zoom burst' photos. where did you get that threaded bolt type thing (do they have a specific name, lol) finding stuff like that is half the battle when it comes to making cool stuff like this
