  1. wood for everyone!
  2. i thought this was pretty random: sometimes, you just have to... look at things... from a different perspective
  3. ahhhh, no wonder it looked better than what i saw down here! nice man, love it. my mum works at the mines at prominant hill, but im not sure where that is exactly. near cooper pedy or something
  4. cheers. the fish eye effect is due to the wide angle of view these GoPro cameras have. you have to frame shots by gut feeling or take a photo and then chuck the card in a camera so you can check framing, but as that takes too long most times i just wing it and hope for the best, lol. as for the editing software, i'll continue on with imovie for now. its capable of some cool things, at a cost of plenty of hours work, lol.
  5. i should probably post in here instead of the monthly photo threads... third day working on the new bike, showoff fail! and some other random stuff from the day looking to get a better NLE than the iMovie that I am using. what suggestions do people have for something cheap but more powerful than iMovie?
  6. nice one! where was that taken? my view was blocked by the city skyline as i was still at work
  7. wow Sidd! love the direction your heading with the portraits dude. only thing i could fault about the second one is her standing directly in middle of the frame, but thats just me, its a great shot. love seeing the pics in this thread!
  8. yeah i was hoping it would work and pretty glad i gave it a try. tried a few more angles also today that went better than i thought. loving the new mount i made, but do need to make another one for more angles. im starting to really get into this video making thing. i guess cause the cameras dont have viewfinders its the whole 'surprise' element that keeps me going with it, lol not wrong! awesome pics, did you see the sky tonight? not quite as good but still not too bad
  9. just for you...
  10. it looks much closer than it is... i hope
  11. nice one Sidd! we get a fair few nice birds in the adelaide parklands. so cool just watching them when im having a rest. heres a pic from today. cheated a bit tho, its a screen grab from a video video is here if your interested... http://www.facebook.com/video/video.php?v=1846615398222 had to make up a new mount for it by recycling an old light mount
  12. possibly. ive been up there around 5pm but not sure about the morning. im never in early enough in the morning for it to be worthwhile.
  13. having a quiet smoke on some random rooftop (only 11 stories up tho) and thought i may as well take a crappy snap of the view... perks of the job pity photoshop didnt do a great job of the pano tho. check out the extra lanes in the road, haha.
  14. ahhhhhhh, far out. bit of a dark day then
  15. from 200 up to 1600 just with a CPL?
  16. nice! love the first couple (beautiful sky) and the one of the porsche with the water spray (although, pity about the glare on the windscreen) finally had a reason to get my camera out... my new ride
  17. not a bad idea, but ive got a GoPro for video. i need to work on some better mounts for it tho, plastic mounts are breaking too easy and i want to make a quick release system so I dont have to leave it on the bike when i do a pick up / delivery.
  18. lucky boy! nothing much to contribute lately, lol. im getting busier and less inspired at work. another grimey day at the office taken while walking to the bus stop in the morning. love the views from the top of buildings. need to be a bit ninja to get up there tho
  19. didnt really do the scene any justice, but it looked so awesome when the sun was hitting the smoke through the trees. bit hard to get a good shot when your holding the camera with your off hand and the other hand is holding something smoking, lol. might give it another go and see if i can get it right
  20. cant stop, wont stop! wooo nah you kind press back on the pedals. helps when the pedals have toe straps on them, and a front brake helps even more. for now i just ride it slowly so i have plenty of space to slow down in, lol
  21. sorry for double post, cant edit after a certain time it seems, lol. couple more shots of the bike. framing was good, positioning of the bike not so good, lol. was in a rush and didnt take notice of the damn drains behind the bars/front wheel
  22. damn nice shot zennon! i prefer digital myself, im too lazy for analogue my new ride. background was a bit meh and i got a pinch flat on the way to taking this. jumping gutters on a fixie is something ive got to learn, lol. heaps fun bike to ride tho once you get used to a new riding technique.
  23. Awesome!!!
  24. love this shot! and Sidd, ive said it before, but... WOW! love it man.
  25. and this is how lazy i am... camera was in auto so i just pointed it at a dark spot and took a shot then pointed it at a lighter spot and took a shot. and then i noticed the crane moving... doh! haha
