I am planning on helping the Apex foundation provide relief for cancer patients and their families. Every year since 2007 they have run an Outback postie bike ride to raise funds for Apex and this year I hope to be a part of the ride. Riders need to raise a minimum of $500 for Apex before they can participate. My mum bought a postie bike and to cut a long story short me and my brother gave it an exciting but hard life and its in need of restoration if its going to be ridden on the ride. This is the bike in question...
Yeah, she is a mess. Anyway, in order to get the bike finished by the time the Apex ride starts (Mid October) I need to finance the restoration project. Thats where "Mums postie bike" comes into it. I plan on using the page as somewhere to document the project and to share the names of everyone who helps make the dream a reality. I'm hoping it will be a good promotional tool for local companies wanting to help me to help the Apex foundation. If the ride becomes a reality it will also be somewhere to keep everyone up to date on the ride and all the crazy things we get up to while spending 4 days traveling over 1100km of some of the countries toughest terrain in the South Australian outback. So to make it relevant to the thread, its going to have a heap of awesome pics of crazy two wheeled action, included me stacking once or twice no doubt, lol. if you read all this, cheers... now go like http://www.facebook.com/MumsPostieBike
