My R34 is Tiptronic and I only drive it in tiptronic mode, not as fun or controllable as a manual but better than auto. Who else has been in auto mode and thought they were in tiptronic mode shifting up to neutral only to hear that horrible free rev and think they have broken the auto, then embarrassingly realise what you have done

Mmmmmmm can you tell me how much one of these kits are, how quickly does it change? Standard takes about 3 secs doesnt it? PM me if you dont want to post it on here. I have auto R34 and would be interested in this upgrade one day??

Try State Roads, I used these guys when purchasing my R34, as I brought the car from QLD I could not inspect it my self. They are very thorough, (including engine compression and any body repairs) from memory about $200 and they will come to you. I was able to ring the inspector and speak to him and they give you a comprehensive report. Good luck. Dont go through RACV, very expensive and IMO not worth it. State Roads

Thanks Jack, the 4 door is great cause the boot is huge, it fits the big pram and all the shopping!! I brought it after driving my husbands R33 and became hooked on getting a skyline.

Thanks to the SAU people for organising the event superbly!! First event with SAU and you guys knew who I was before I even got out of my car!! (Although I missed the entrance on the way in and went through the stupid tolls, thanks to all those running people). Great to see everyones cars nice and shiney under the thin layer of dust, lol James it really was a great venue, it was the wind. Maddie even helped me on the voting, I think she goes by colors. Oh yes and the sunburn.

Hey Brett My husband Keith is going in his Silver R33 GTST but I am not going up this year as we cant get the little kiddies looked after, but if you ask him nicely I am sure he will let you passenger for a go to woah run if you get desparate!! I am taking my R34 with the kiddies to the SAU Show n Shine on Sunday anyway. Have fun!!!

I purchased the high flow metal catco one and I am quite happy with it. I also got the dump pipe but have to make a slight alteration before I can fit it, so I just running the catco cat with standard front pipe and apexi cat back exhaust on for now and I feel there is an improvement just from the high flow cat alone. Looking forward to having the front split pipe put on.

I didnt put my rear plate on at vicroads, only the front. When I got home I cut a slither off each side (tin snips) and filed nice and smooth so no rough edges to scratch paint work, just enough to fit in the gap perfectly. More than likely you will need spacers too (more so for the front) therefore longer screws (40mm in length maybe I cant remember off the top of my head). Oh and dont forget to take the screws, spacers and screwdriver/spanner/allan key (whichever type of screws you choose) with you to vicroads, if you need to take the car for inspection that is!!

Just be careful, we snaped off the top one in the turbo exhaust manifold, now we have the wonderful task of removing it Have you tried spraying WD40 or similar and letting it sit for an hour or so, this may help a little. The quality of these split dump pipes and metal high flow catco cats are excellent, I can highly recommend them if any one is considering a purchase!!! SS8_Gohan - Maybe I am just being a bit fussy, it does fit but just sits too close to the body at the cat end for my liking, but this problem is easily fixed and I am not complaining, but that could also be because I have an R34 Series 2 sedan, I dont know if they would be different to coupe's or Series 1's??

Yes same problem with mine (R34 sedan). Very snug fit but tilts up too much at the cat end and flang touches heat shield where cat sits. Also the rear bracket is slighly off and only one hole aligns. Will it make a difference if this heat sheild is removed? Or is it recommended to keep this shield behind the cat only?? But is does look like it will fit when this problem is fixed. Also snapped off top bolt in turbo exhaust manifold any suggestion how to remove this without removing the turbo to do so?? Help appreciated.
