Thanks for the feedback guys. Yep I agree... just thought id try a pod for a while adn see what it was like. I currently have a high flow panel filter on stock setup. I'm likely to return to it if pod gives me trouble. All this aside, original question still stands... If anyone has bought one of these boxes Id like to hear about what they thought and what it was like. cheers

good point... guess 'hide' was the wrong word :-) never the less you kno what i mean. Also reading the description of the item it says it makes the pod legal in most states (i doubt that to be honest)... Still its an investment im happy to make if i can get some feedback

Hi, Have just decided to buy a Pod Filter for my R33 and was hoping to get a box for it to help hide it. For now im still running stock intercooler. Or does anyone have any experience with other boxes that are availalbe to purchase? I can't find many of these easily! Thanks in advance.

thanks ppl. Think i have it worked out and ordered. Yeah agree about it being a s h i t immobiliser but car has 2 other alarms so im happy. Just want to fix it so it doesnt look like im hot wiring the car each time i drive

Hi all, Having a problem with my touch point alarm. Specifically some of the pins in the socket have broken and I would like to replace the socket. Problem is the touch point is not the same brand as the rest of the alarm and I can't identify it anyway. Has anyone see the following? Any info would be greatly appreciated!!! yeah mate, totally agree. Glad they didnt get away with the car! No point getting upset (unless I get a hold of them that is!). Thing im dissapointed in is I'm sure there would have been ppl around that saw it and did nothing. Hoping I'll get some info through the week.

OK so I'm thinking it might be the same ppl. My car was broken into yesterday also and ignition / steering column ripped out to get the car started. I got back to my car to find radio on (accessories). Car was raided also but nothing taken as i leave nothing valuable but obviously these shits had plenty of time. Car was in a public place (cooleman court shops) between 1:30 and 4pm so how they had all this time with all the alarms on is amazing. I'll be asking ppl around there if they saw anything. Matter has been reported to the police. Prob a good thing I didn't catch them still in my car, though it would have made my day if I did! I'll be keeping a closer eye on my car from now on.........

excellent. sounds like not too much cutting and its only the front bar that needs cutting? Paranoid about Rego checks!

Hi, Considering a Trust LS Spec Intercooler and was wonderting whether anyone has fitted this to a stock s2 front? Is there much cutting involved? and is it a good fit? If anyone has any pics I'd be keen on seeing them! cheers

Thanks for the reply. I don't get that, as if I do get defected don't i go back to the rego check place to get defects cleared? Yeah really after a fmic that will need little to no cutting to the stock r33 s2 bar or anything else (anyone have suggestions?) So if Pod is in a proper box (fully concealed) then this should be ok as it is out of view? cheers

Hi all, I've got a relatively stock r33 (turbo back exhaust) and have been consideirng the following mods: FMIC (something that would sit under a stock s2 front bar) POD (with a pod box if i can find one!) upping the boost 10-11 or so max As I live in NSW and need rego checks every year I was wondering whether any of these would cause me a problem? Would I need engineers for any of it? if so what would that roughly cost? Also anyone think these mods would affect reliablity given that it is my daily driver? thanks!

Hi, Considering a few more bits + pieces for the car and was curious about how much trouble this would cause with Rego / RTA. Live in nsw (so need to have rego check every year) but work in canberra so wanna make sure pass any random rta inspections. car is R33 gtst Car has a little done to it, next things would be -adjustable boost controller (is there an alternative?) -fmic -pod (well maybe) Having read some of the forum, I'm pretty sure that with at least some of these things (pod) I wont pass rego but am keen to hear ppl's experiences. nope. stock steering wheel. No changes in terms of mods to the car that caused this as far as i know.

Hi, Have searched through the forums and found many similar but not exact problems. Car is R33 S2 and last few days the ABS light either remains on after starting or comes on short time after driving. Sometimes it will not come on at all so it seems to be somewhat intermittent. Any suggestions? I've noticed there are what look to be 2 30a fuses in the box under the bonnet but don't know where I can buy these (not standard lookin fuses) or how to test. Any other suggestions as to what this is likely to be? cheers Max

ok...I never considered a r34 smic. Basically longer term im wanting to running higher boost on the stock turbo (exhaust is already done). As car is a daily and reliable driver i want to keep it that way, so thought FMIC would be sensible in first step before mucking around. Finchy33. My front bar is the same as yours. Any chance you have front on pics? I'm liking what your saying about the minor trimming only. thanks

Thanks for the replies.... also thanks for the pic GotRice. Silver R33 is exaclty what i wanted! I'm not planning on doing the install myself so might talk to the shop and get them to talk me through whats there and exactly how much of my stock front bar needs to be cut.

thanks for the replies guys. ok prob bad wording. don't mind a bit of modding to stock s2 front bar. This makes option easier? keen on seeing pics of what ppl have done and what running. Hi, I'm getting the 'mod' jitters again lately and was considering a fmic. Basically running a SII R33 only mods are turbo back exhaust (split dump, hi flow cat, trust pe2) and a k&n filter. Was looking at FMIC and boost controller next but was wondering if there are any 'stealth' fmic that will sit under a stock sII front bar which offer good performance?? Any info or pics of what you have done would be great cheers
