  1. not going under finance, not worth it on a depreciating asset...what ball park figure are we looking at complied and landed.
  2. i tried looking on the carsales and carpoint sites and only found one r34 in victoria on offer in melb(that was to our specifications). i will try what has been previously suggested and if you spot some let me know, also interested in car yards with s15s and other nissan imports. Adzmax how much did it cost for your r34 after delivery and compliance? coz that mite be an option also.
  3. o yeh, thanx man
  4. Asking for a friend who is looking to buy a r34. All the yards we check out mostly carry aus-delivered nissans. Does anyone know where theres a yard that has a few r34 GTTs around, one that will allow us to test drive it?? I tried looking in Search but no actual adresses or names came up to where we could actually find a car yard that stocks them. Any help much appreciated.
  5. might be interested in the apexi filter, can u get the dimensions of the panel filter please, i need it to be 7inch by 10 inch. if thats the dimensions, consider it bought.
  6. a guy is selling a set(with caps) on nissansilvia.com, 3grand with decent tyres. if i had the $$$ i would buy them. Its under sponsores. best rims in the whole world i reckon.
  7. Being 5 speed you will be paying more then for a auto, due to it being a import and the manual version being more desirable. Finding them with low Kms isnt hard as they are not very old at all. Prices you are looking at would be 32-38 depending on condition, kms, mods etc. Dont listen to people who say you cant get them for under 35K as i have seen them being sold for 32K numerous times as not many people who have 35K would buy an imported turbo car (unless your a skylines enthusiast), so owners get desperate to sell. If the owner is advertising more then 37K for a stocker r34 then he/she is dreaming, im sorry but i see stock r34s advertised for 42K sometimes......right.... ill take 3.
  8. Filters and airboxes have been of great interest to me and although i have not made a custom airbox as of yet i have a heap of info and research. To me a 'Fully Enclosed' box means just that, a box containing the pod, when i decide to make mine i dont want to use the engine bay or the bonnet to seal off the pod, as those metals would get hot as well. The pod i would use would be a Apexi dual intake as its non oiled(important for AFM equipped cars) and also has the best flow and filteration(various sites have tested different pods, apexi came out on top). The box would be made os 1-2mm thick aluminium and would be welded tight(except the top), i will test it by filling it with water to see if there are any leaks and such. The top would be removable in order to change pods etc, but would be fitted tight. Wrapping it up would be the job of rubber (from clarke rubber of course) as aluminum would heat up and its thicker then foam (plus would look better). Providing the air would be the job of a big Bellmouth to the front of the car. Of course it is a big job, which is why im leaving it till after i put a bigger turbo on their as i would have to change the piping, AFM, brackets etc. If you wanted to you could also heat wrap the intake pipe to the turbo. But for now im sticking with the stock airbox with an apexi panel and additional flexi pipe to the box.
  9. would it be possible to remove the airbag+sterring wheel(without setting off the airbag) and replacing it with an aftermarket steering wheel(momo) for circuit racing?? then for the street could you install the original steering wheel and airbag so it is fully functional and just like it was b4 taking it off??
  10. yeh that was the one! VK3F is all i can remember, i got all hyped up coz ive been waiting a while for it, but when i rang she told me it wasnt so. why wont they let us hav it!!!
  11. the pipercross Viper induction kit with the heat shield looks very effective, especially with the FULLY enclosed heat shield and bell mouth, might buy one of these instead of making a custom box i think.
  12. i rang a few days back, it was easy. i only rang because i wanted to check if vic's can hav the number/letter anywhere they want, but she told me we cant. i swear i saw a car with the number in the middle and the word VIC above it.....
  13. gt3 calipers for only 2500$? for 2 right? 2nd hand or brand new? porsche has always had the best brakes(i heard brembo make ALL their cars brakes). anyone know where brembo catalogue their range to the public, not their 2nd hand stuff off GTRs etc but like new rotors, calipers, pads etc.
  14. although im a fan of buying 'proper japanese aftermarket gear' such as trust, hks etc due to them having alot of R and D, if a quality product cannot be obtained then custom is the way to go. custom tuned length non restrictive extractors could see as much gain as Fujitsubo extractors.
  15. 2500$ for extractors only!?!?! $2K will get you a full(dump, front, hiflo cat,cat back and muffler) exhaust. not even 2500 for a full NA exhaust sounds believable, unless you gain like 30rwkw from the extractors alone. not saying i dont believe you Greg but that price is outrageous
  16. how come in the USA they get a 2.5litre turbod sti and we dont, since when has the US market deserved all these luxuries(v35, evos, supras, etc), they cant do up cars for shit
  17. so its all luck if you do/dont get hit by customs, ive spoken to a few people who regulary import stuff, not just car parts but clothes, shoes, perfumes etc and they also say theyve never been held at customs. the parts i want are mostly hks, apexi and trust so i should expect a delay
  18. INASNT, how much cheaper are the parts off greenline/nengun? i mean i look at the prices on their site and they seem too cheap to be true, granted there is still import tax, gst and freight, but when its delivered to your door, is there still that much of a saving? especially on the big items like coolers, exhausts, turbos etc.
  19. how cheap and accessable are cars in the UAE? i was there 2 years ago and it seemed it had some very nice cars around, do you hav to change it to left hand drive???
  20. to me badges and stickers arnt attractive and do not make your car look nicer or hold its value more(unless its a ferrari)
  21. yes its factory weight and factory power output at the flywheel, didnt think r32s were not allowed, thought it was r33s and up(or any GTR), i dont think u can detune it as like i said b4, factory weight and factory power, things you can do: stay out of Knox, its notorious for cops picking on p platers and using the power/weight restriction on them, take off the 'GTST' sticker on the back of the car, run a plumb back bov, dont give any indication its turbo( no turbo timers, visable coolers etc). it will help a bit
  22. off topic just curious who made the carbon fibre bonnet, was it a Border bonnet? price and place of purchase would be appreciated looks wicked
  23. ive been curious bout this procedure for a while, does it take along time? can the car be road regd , wat parts are needed for the converson?
  24. i would get a replacement pretty soon(k&n or apexi) as u wouldnt want anything other then air and fuel entering the combustion chambers.
  25. if that means we will finally be getting some un-de-tuned civic and integra type Rs then it will be a good thing, we always get stooged on our aus delivered cars.......
