  1. well that was the best time i have had in ages!!! had a few spinouts but after 4 or 5 sessions i was starting to drift that last corner nicely...omg so much fun! sideways forever! i will going to these more often... need to organise a big sau day out there~ its just gonna get expensive with the tyres and all...semis would be nice or atleast a harder compound. oil got up to 130deg so ibetter get that cooler on and at one point my water temp was 105deg. found a few bugs in my setup which i'll try and sortout before the next one...cant wait!
  2. ok so i changed the plugs. whe i pulled number 3 out it was all wet and black. never seen that before in my car...could be time for splitfires???
  3. i was running 1.1mm fine, but the 6's i have bought in 0.8mm
  4. 6e's. i was using 5e's so i'll see how these go. if no good i'll shift another heat range...
  5. i just bought BKR6E plugs and i'll see how they go...thanks for the help.
  6. yeah i like that idea...gives me a better idea about the car i drive everyday...
  7. is it ok to just run your normal street rims and tyres or do you have a second set of rims and tyres for the track?
  8. hey guy, i just did a major service on my r33 and all was running just wonderful. i have had her tuned since putting on the new turbo (HKSgtrs). along with this i did the plugs to. i put in ngk BKR5ES-11. now i have been driving the car around for a week or so since being tuned and having the new plugs a nd turbo on and itr was tarting perfect, like almost immediatly... but now i have to cranck her over for about 10-20 secs and put my foot down on the throttle. once she is strated she runs a little rough and then once it warms a little then it all calms down. any ideas why this may have happened....??? this happned before when i first had my powerfc tuned and the tuner put new plugs in.... im thinking this may be plug related...???
  9. oh guys you rock, thanks for all the advice. im gonna take it real easy as i have just had my baby fully resprayed. but its crazy how quick the stone chips come about..grrrr however im not so precious that i wont drive my car like it should be driven, hence the easy start into track time....can do all the great performance mods without stretching her legs!
  10. hey guys, i think im gonna go on the 28th of December... anyone else thinking of going? ive never been before...this should be intertesting... does evenyone go stupid fast or can you just go at your own pace? (not something silly like 60k...faster than that...)
  11. all i can say is oh dear.... mabe get a new batterey, supercheap auto will check you batterery for free if you take it to them and then take it out of your car...
  12. if new hypermax 3 is your only option... just keep an eye out for them on ebay. otherwise send an email to nengun...
  13. these are awesome coilovers....you can get them cheap out of new zealand...
  14. as far as bypassing the water oil cooler, all i want to do is put a small bit of hard pipe between the two rubber hoses that attach to the water system. that way the fatcory oil cooler is still there just has no water flowing through it...you cant take it off as there are different conections to go from the block to the cooler and then to the oil filter attachment point. it just seems silly cooliong the oil twice now...
  15. i know those wires are in place in my series one... not sure about the series 2... the loom form the top model is used in all models as its cheaper to make more of the same thing than less of two different things....
  16. copper all the way!
  17. ok cool. its quite a fast ticking.... my car is getting tuned today at bathis and borge auto in botany. will let you know how it goes... are you going to any track days soon? would love to catch up and meet you dude...
  18. hi guys, can you please help me with a question... i just installed a apexi boost control kit for my power fc. i drive an r33 gtst by the way... when i hit positive manifold pressure i can hear a ticking noise from either the engine bay or the ecu...its faint but quite easy to hear. is this the boost control solenoid starting open? have you got the same noise? i have just fitted a hks gtrs turbo kit as well, but only noticed this noise after installing the boost control kit...
  19. is there anywhere that says that officially?
  20. if these are available from nissan we should all chip in a buy one set and then copy it for eveyone...what do you think? knowing spare parts i would say it would be between $500 and $1000... for the manual
  21. i must say that when i had my fto, there seemed to be so much more printed resources for the car...
  22. ah right, you are after the one manual i have never been able to find and thats the service manual for the rest of the car that the engine manual does not cover.... somebody must have a copy of this...?
  23. have a look here and also use search... http://paulr33.skylinesaustralia.com/
  24. just one thing as far as selecting size of injector... i went for 555cc nismos. i have heard from plenty of tuners that you shouldnt get any bigger than you need as the larger the injector the most 'unstable they are and low rpms' and are harder toncontrol...which makes sense to me...just something to consider... like most things bigger is not always better...
