  3. hi all, The previous owner of my dash put these plastic nismo backgrounds on the dials to make it a white background. However the tacho ones was sticking on the needle, so i pulled it off. after pulling it off, i noticed the normal ligt dosent go on, because the backrounds were meant to iluminate it. ive since purchased 2 clusters from the forum, both screwed. the cluster still has the lights connected in the back, but somehow he has pulled out the wiring or something. If anyone could help me out and tell me how to fix the lights issue, i will pash them on the lips, and ill even shave if they want. cheers

Ok heres are the details: - stock r33 gtst s1 - runs stock everything except a 3.5" exhaust - car is running rich, i make about 250-280 on a full tank - bought new o2 sensor did crap all I dont think there is much i can do except tune the thing as its been running rich ever since this exhaust came in Here is the plan in the next 3 or 4 months when i pay off my tax return - stupid hex debt; 1. up the boost to 10psi 2. get a fmic $400 with justjap - put in myself 3. get an air intake kit, assuming $300 4. drop the car at the mechanics for a tune (preferably a sau sponsor) I'm wanting a cheap tune, so im assuming a safc neo should be fine for this (think about 5-700 or so), and then comes the installation of the piggyback and the actual tune. I've read other threads and people seem to have different views on the use of the safc, but i think for my purposes it should be fine, others have done similar and they seem to be ok. questions; 1. how much will the installation and tune cost at a half decent place, 2. any idea about how much power ill get - a range possiby? 3. am i on the right track or have i lost my mind.. thanks for the help.

I recently pulled off these ugly white cluster faces that the previous owner had put in, but ive realised that now the orignal cluster dont light up, because the faces themselves lit up, and he disconnected the standard lights. if anyone has seen this before, what do you disconnect to put this face in, so i can reconnect the originals. Note; all the original bulbs are in and they work, its a r33 s1

  14. My r33 s1 drivers side window motor is stuffed and playing up. its hard to find one on the forum, so are there any business's anyone know of that fixes or sells new ones?? cheers

  16. Guys My current turbo is shafting way too much, and getting a bit too gittery anytime over 5000 revs. Although im rarely there(yes its a bit soft), i'd still prefer to have one that works. Its a r33 s1 stock (xpt for the exaust), and im looking for something cheap and would run stock boost (Yes soft again), either, 1. Replace one second hand, 2. Upgrade to the s2 or Neo (can i do them both bolt on) 3. Buy the one from Just Jap for about 650 (can i also just bolt it on) 4. Get another for less than a grand Ebay ones arent an option cause apparently they are craphouse. Any sugestions??
  17. My car's turbo seems to have a bit too much shapt play lately, especially late second gear, and gets too gittery so im thinking its the turbo and ill probably replace it does the neo r34 turbo fit bolt on to the r33 its stock but with and turboback exhaust can i use the neo charger??
  18. Guys ive driven both completely stock the auto is much slower especially off initial take-off its probably about 1 second slower 0-100 (per my mechanic) and unless you got a transbrake and a big stally and a beefed up box and you run sub tens manual is alot quicker down the quarter
  19. probably a stupid question but i understand little about comps i got a laptop i installed the update and program what type of cable from the ecu to the laptop for this program is it called the CONSULT-Cable
  20. Guys Is there anywhere in sydney, prefferably in parra area, and one that sponsors the forum where i could go get the car checked up, such as checking the turbos are spooling properly, theres no shaft play its aint running too rich, and internals all fine etc any suggestions?

Here's the story I want to get a blow off valve for my car (Stock r33gtsts1) and have seen a few good ones on the forum, but a friend of mine recently told me not get one unless its plump back she got a r33 s1 gtst as well, and when she had her bov she had to keep her car revved up otherwise it would stall i thought it was possibly to big, but she said it was just a standard turbosmart bov so here's the question, does it have to be plump back? cheers

Basically i had a mate recently spend a bit of money doing up his gtr, he hasnt got it yet but he put a single turbo on it (apparently huge) and he has the stock turbo's and manifold's left he asked if i wanted the turbo's i own an r33gtst and was wondering if the turbo's were useless to me are they bolt on, or do they need a small amount of work to one on and even then can i boost higher etc?
  23. Guys just a quick one i got an R33 gtst, stock everything except i got a full exaust system turbo back just put in a boost controller and was wondering what people have boosted their car to is 10psi excessive? cheers
  24. Cheers mate ill have a go doin that i didnt think the turbo was blown cause its still boosting just not all that well ill see how that goes
