  1. thats amazing. the stock ECU on these cars must be programmed flexible enough to relearn fuel maps with minor mods installed.
  2. hey paul, i recall from your other posts that you won some V6 dyno shootout. Did you pull that with just bolt on mods and no tuning?? as far as aftermarket ECU's go....i think HKS makes the F-Con for V35's ...but I'm not sure if this is the best out there.
  3. soooo farking tempting!!! unfortunately, I've got to save up for an upcoming holiday and WA cops are on a witch hunt for large rims any chance u wanna trade with 18" volk gtc's ....btw...do they come with rubber?
  4. im confused, so how exactly are they going to dyno tune the car? does the v35 have a reprogrammable ECU? ...or are u just after a dyno readout to see how much power ur car's making? btw i meant p1ggy back ...wonder why it changes to copgy for some reason?
  5. i'm looking at replacing the vanity lights on the sunvisor with some white LED's but I don't know what size/type lights to get and for the life of me tried gently prying at all sides but can't get the cover off...too afraid of putting more force and possibly breaking something already replaced the map lights and door underlights....so the vanity is the last ones
  6. hey Paul, what copgy back / aftermarket ECU are u running?? there's a lot of places that dyno tunes in Perth but I think its about who's more familiar tuning the software/ECU that you're running.
  7. I love the colour of my car and I wouldn't have picked any other. but it's very true...black cars are 5x harder to keep clean...and by that I dont mean u need to wash 3x a week....u actually need to apply a coat of wax every weekend to minimise visual effects of swirls. Also, the nissans didnt come with the best paint job out of the factory...so unless ur waxing frequently...it does discolour gl with whatever u decide, for me...black is the ONLY choice.
  8. mate, if it is your g/box...and I'm hoping for you that it isnt then there's not many places in Perth that would specialise in the Extroid CVT which leave's the option of salvage yards or http://www.cvt.co.nz/ also ask around if its possible to swap a normal 5sp auto in?
  9. when u take it to the dealers, they always recommend a gear oil flush n change 1st....and if that doesnt work then its a new tranny. kinda sucks coz u would have pissed away 1.5k for nothing. Isn't there a viscosity gauge they can use to determine if a trans oil change is required??
  10. nice shoes. Have the same rims on my car, but looking at going with SP1's if I can get them in 19" at a good price.
  11. you can buy the generic service booklet from any nissan dealership with the switch...i've got one just on the side of the center console and another card reader under the steering column and I havent a clue wtf its for.
  12. Sun would be best for me coz really busy saturdays getting things organised for the rest of the week
  13. There's cheap greddy front bar on ebay which will really set it off well. But I'd go with painting the bonnet too, just to make a more subtle statement. CF vented bonnets on a stock car is like granny panties on a stripper....they function the same but just doesn't look right. no offense mate, but if you had an aftermarket bumper like in your avatar...that will really look pimpin.
  14. nothing in the movies worth watching atmo, so I decided to go at the last minute. Was a gr8 cruise...but as you said, I was the only V35 there. Still plenty of fun and was good to meet and put faces on names.
  15. if you parked under a heavy downpour, would vented bonnets cause any problems on the mechanical or electrical components in the engine bay??
  16. not to mention an enclosed garage does help with insurance premiums
  17. saw it again at Scarborough beach today. It was actually fiberglass eyelids on the car....sorry peeps ..didn't mean to stir up excitement over nothing Brad, you're right...they were made to look like the V36 lights and not the 370z ...kinda hard to tell from the rear view mirror
  18. i reckon a vented CF bonnet can compliment a good bodykit.
  19. yes I'm sure. Was sitting behind him at the lights... and was thinking that if i hadnt got a black, the pearl white would have been my next choice of colours...then pulling away from him at Karrinyup shopping center I had a good look at the rear view mirror and saw that his lights were not teardrop...but had a notch like the 370z ....it may have been a fiberglass cover that went over the standard lights
  20. light blue V-coupe along morley drive @ 8.30am this morning...and another pearl white at Karrinyup road. The white coupe had V35 rear lights but the front lights were 370z
  21. decided to go and watch a movie on cheap-as tuesday instead. Will meet up wif ya on the next V cruise.
  22. i'd be really impressed if you could get a working HU from a 1/2 cut. am jealous that even a 1/2 cut came with 2 keys....i only got 1 with my car
  23. anyone going to the Skyline cruise tomorrow night?
  24. its a care factor thing. most tyre shops know that you wont kick a fuss about minor scratches on the wheels so they dont really bother. its like getting new tyres and balancing...this one place I went actually did the trouble of deflating ...rotate...inflate...balance a couple of times until they found a setting with minimal counter balance weights. other shops will install and balance and stick a ton of lead weights on one side if that's what the reading on the machine told them
  25. doesn't look normal. Have it checked and replaced if your worried.
