  1. forget the air filter...i'd be more worried bout my lungs breathin in all that crap. would be a good test of faith on all those K&N supporters tho
  2. yea this is the one that was on carsales. LOL it was on for like 3 weeks but that was coz I had a small deposit paid but had to sell my car first. I did get it for lower than his asking price but also got much less for my beamer, so i guess the only real winner is the govt with the damn stamp duties. then again cars do sell a lot quicker over east coz theres a bigger buyers market there. Dealer warranties are a joke, unless its a new car warranty, the rest are not worth the paper its written on. My bosses 911 shat the gearbox...he had all routine servicing and was only late on 1 by 2 weeks and they rejected the claim. Even when the gearbox is a non-servicable item!!!
  3. if they spotted a SAUWA sticker I prolly would, otherwise V35's owners are a scary bunch and I'm afraid of road rage LOLZ
  4. Appreciate if someone over east can get help me get pricing for a fuel damper it's the part no.1 in this diagram. was quoted $420 at a local nissan dealership here which I think is outrageous seeing as aftermarket fuel rails are cheaper
  5. looks like accessing through the splash guards may be a better option http://g35driver.com/forums/body-interior-...-hid-bulbs.html
  6. I'll try find a DIY on this from the G35 forums. It would be strange that you'd need to remove bumpers to get to the lights, coz i think only the driving lights are HID, the highlight looks like normal halogens so there must be an easier way to get to them.
  7. I'd stay clear of Krap N Nasty's
  8. hi Rianto, I'm looking at replacing the D2R bulbs on my car with 4300k bulbs. Any ideas of the best (cheaper) place to get these?? Do you have a owners manual with diagrams on how to replace these bulbs?? Cheers
  9. hi all, I'm currently running volk gt-c in 18 x 9 and 18 x 10 +31 offset all round. These are in mint condition with no gutter marks. Tyres are 245/40 all round. Would like to swap with SSR SP1 or any jap wheels in either 18 or 19" in the same staggered widths but with a more aggressive offset... +22 or thereabouts Would prefer someone local in WA, but if you have a spare set and dont mind shipping your wheels first before I get mine off then hit me with a pm with pics of your wheels. pics of wheels on my car http://i305.photobucket.com/albums/nn230/fcruz3r/skyside.jpg
  10. seriously mate, being able to DIY repairs on your cars has nothing to do with this and I'm surprised it keeps getting mentioned. Fine, some may be mechanically inclined and do their own servicing. But the fact remains that the OP sent his car for "panel repairs" ...this is hardly a DIY for 90% of people on these forums. when you pay a workshop to do work on your car, they owe a duty of care to ensure your asset is well taken care of and not used in a way where its not insured. If damage had happened in the workshop, then their insurance will cover it, but if it was taken for a fang...then it is not covered by any insurance and is dangerous for the vehicle owner and every other road user.
  11. yes it does seem to be from the underbody. Thanks, I'll have a look under when I next have the car serviced.
  12. just putting this out there if anyone is interested in swapping wheels. I currently have volk gt-c's in 18 X 9 +31 18 x 10 +31 looking for 18's or 19's in similar width but lower offsets ( +22 or +11), am only interested in SSR SP1, Weds RE30 (think this is it)...or any drift/dish jap wheels in near new condition. I just want to flusher fitment on my car. pic of the wheels on my car pm me with your pictures of your wheels if your interested. p/s: I am not selling my wheels, only looking for swaps as I dont have any spare wheels to use in the interim.
  13. hi all, just wondering if anyone has experienced a slight thud/clunk when cold starting their cars. Everything else is fine and drive is smooth. Just happens if the car has been sitting for a while and the engine is cold. Otherwise, engine is smooth as and shifts are smooth.
  14. pic taken this morning. I still need to work on my camera skills
  15. I'm not saying go public on which workshop or advertise the name ...but if you have personal bad experience with a place, then just avoid it.
  16. nice!!! mind telling how much those set you back and where to order them from??
  17. take it to a tyre shop and have them run it on their balancing machine. most of the time, if it's out of round...its quite noticable. What isn't noticable and I've been caught with buying wheels like this before is if the spokes are bent. it'll look fine at first but will wobble on the balancing machine.
  18. well if it's the same bed that some japanese dude slept in for like 3 years before it went to a yard for 6 months waiting to get auctioned off, then on ship across the pacific and then again another couple of months at the docks in Freo....then yes I would like to know but seriously, I do agree that most workshops here have very little care factor when it comes to customers cars. I had my beemer curbed by one...then just 3 days ago I sent a car to one of the w.shops in the consolidated w/shop thread for a pre purchase inspection, they were more than happy to take my money but never even got back to me with a report or bothered to call. Ended up calling them and got a "yea everything is ok" reply....but I seriously think that's AUD180 that was better spent elsewhere. so dont let little issues stress you out mate. just take it as lesson learned and avoid that w/shop at all costs.
  19. some cars have the lights dipped on the driver's side...so if the G35 in the US has this, then it'll be illegal here coz it'll have a higher beam on the right
  20. yea nah...dont think I'm game to bake my lights....last time helped my wife with baking we ended up at the cheesecake shop.
  21. finally after all the nagging little questions on this forum... I am now a proud owner of a V35 coupe. will post pics up once I have the car cleaned. First upgrades that I want to do is to get rid of all the amber....so I'll prolly end up with smoked indicators off ebay (unless someone wants to comment on the quality of these stuff and could recommend a better seller). also, I want to get rid of the amber lens on the headlight...any DIY's on how to do this?? thanks all.
  22. a reputable BMW w/shop in Perth where I normally send my car for servicing sent my car back with major scratches to the front lip from what I suspect was driving up a ramp or pavement.... didn't fess up to it (even though I had proof of the lip being sprayed and installed just days before). So 80km/hr on a Skyline is nothing to get stressed over.
  23. and you still sent your car to them after the 1st incident??
  24. thanks mate. Ended up doing a private sale on my car so didn't have to worry about the loan. but RAC will finance imports if anyone's interested....just that they wont insure them as well. Strange that.
