  1. power is a lot linear compared to the neck snapping turbo gtr. Heaps of supercharger and TT kits out there for the v35 if you've got an abundance of the folding stuff.
  2. let us know how u go with the hfc fouling on the heat shielding. read a lot about that on g35driver and a lot of owners in the US opt to remove the heat shield. I'm pretty sure that it's there for a reason, but would like to know if there's a way around that. i've had my fair share of cheap china made stainless steel mufflers. they look the goods but the fibreglass sound deadners get burnt to a crisp within the first few days and then they end up hell loud.
  3. nice. def my next mod. btw, any raspiness with the kinetix hfc??
  4. did u get genuine nissan or aftermarket?
  5. yea i tried the auto fold/unfold but it returns to the same position. Doesn't look like its been hit or anything so was wondering if it was normal. no big deal.
  6. hi victor, the whole mirror cover is angled slightly outwards. it's hardly noticable but I found out yesterday coz i was trying to fit a sponge in there to put some back to black on the plastic arm holding the mirror (was getting slightly greyish)
  7. is it normal that my driver side mirror is angled slightly outwards (about 5mm out) when compared to the passenger side? just noticed it today
  8. stock air filter is the best imho. No cleaning, re-oiling, getting gunk on your air flow sensor...and if it gets dirty then just throw it away and get a new one.
  9. whatever kit u decide on, lower the car first. last thing you wanna have is a kitted car with off-roader style wheel gap. be prepared to sacrifice going to places with high speed bumps, steep inclines and mates houses with big curbs. i'm just mildly lowered (1.25 inches) and the front bumper and diff protector skid plate scrapes on most ramps.
  10. sell them, get some HFC will give u better bang 4 ur buck power.
  11. $2000 is a bit pricy for a nismo kit (assuming your getting a replica from either strafe or arch)
  12. heard some clips on youtube with 350z having the megan exhaust systems. but can't really tell by just the free-revving sounds coz some exhaust sounds good revved but are sh!thouse driving normally coz they drone around the 1.5-2.5k rpm
  13. some of the ebay stuff have very bad fitment, so to get it professionally re-worked for a proper fit is prolly going to cost a lot more. not really into the GTR looking kits, imho best get a kit made specifically for the V35...the nismo, impul, kuruma z or kenstyle all look good.
  14. with the current YEN and USD exchange rate, it's much cheaper to get the exhaust from the US, even with sea freight the shipment from japan is quite costly.
  15. look in the WA cruise photos, a couple of pearl white rocking gold and polished steel/chrome... looks effin good imho. otherwise, if you're going for a chrome look or satin silver, then needs aggressive fitment to pull off the look. i'd recommend 19" or 20 max
  16. it's quite easy to install yourself. u might need a torque wrench...get a small or screwdriver type torque wrench. i hand tightened mine cuz the torque wrench i had doesn't go as low as 40lb/ft did u get the simple or isothermal spacer kit?
  17. what a shame. That was one nice V35. wonder if Colin is going to dress it up or just returning it to stock looking.
  18. one of our Perth guys bought a bumper from strafe and complained that there were lots of fitment issues. I know a lot of G35 forum members swear by them...but just the delay in shipment and issues faced by someone that I actually know and have seen his car in person...would stay away from strafe. I will be ordering some bumpers from arch but not going to organise a gb ...maybe just getting a couple of nismo, a kz and k2 remix. I'll then trial fit and keep what I want and flog the rest off to recoup part shipment. hit me with a pm if there's a particular bumper that you're interested in.
  19. why would you have the power button on for cruises?
  20. mate, as per forum rules, you will need to state a price. also, are the lights angled for left hand drive? i.e. right ( drive side) fires upwards and the passenger side is tilting lower?
  21. skunk 2 spacers are double the thickness of the 5/16 motordyne, so you should be getting a higher top end hp reading. I think the 5/16 was developed for more low/mid range responsiveness. I'll be getting the motordyne and a z-tube in about a week and once I get the harness for my f-con I'll take it in for a tune.
  22. in the same predicament, only i already have a v35. take both for a test drive and then decide. for me, the evo9 was great in all aspects except it still had the "tinny" feel of a lancer.
  23. mine sits about 1 bar below the 1/2 way mark. on hot days sits dead on at the 1/2.
  24. sounds like it may be the throw out bearing, which if it is then it's not covered by the warranty as it's apparently normal wear and tear item. best take it to an independent mech and if it's the clutch/throw out bearing ...then replace it out of pocket. if it's the tranny, then get a detailed report and insist on this being covered under warranty
  25. my guess is that ur radiator fan may not be working. if it returns to normal when driving, u probably haven't caused major damage but i suggest u get it looked at before driving it again. warped or cracked heads are costly to replace.
