so Richard, have u found out what happens if u incur a couple of demerits when on double or nothing? do u loose ur license? ...hope it works out well for u mate.
-
no ones judging you Richard

sorry 2 hear the bad news Richard, car cruises attract cop attention like fat boys to cupcakes but then again the coppers are within their rights. unfortunately nowadays, they can get you for hooning if you make a quick dash 0-60 ...even if u didn't exceed speed limits i tried to persuade the missus today, but i'd already used up my leave pass spending the whole day at the Ascot races on a drinking binge yesterday. looking forward to the pics though.

Anybody Want Talk About Fuel Consumption ?
fcruz3r replied to burnh's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
why buy a 350gt if your concerned about fuel economy there's a whole thread on this and just about all v35 owners gave their input ...results vary from 3km/l to 12km/l with a majority sitting around the 7.5 - 8.5km/l mark dont know bout the 250gt ?? maybe the smaller capacity struggles a bit with the weight of the car ...hence same fuel consumption -
jarrod, check out wheeldude.com for the linea corsa lemans, he has them in staggered fitment which would probably fit and look better on your car. Plus they quote one of the cheapest prices for shipment from the US to Oz and with the ozzie dollar at parity, its a good time to buy new.

gibbo, try carmate.com.au for aftermarket u may need a local shop to work on getting it to fit perfectly as i heard their kits arn't 100% flush fitment. otherwise the yahoo japan auctions have plenty of parts

Clicking/rattling Noise When Engine Rev
fcruz3r replied to Meebs's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
try looking at riverside infinity for parts. with the strong aussie dollar it may be cheaper to get spares from the US shipped. from what i heard disconnecting the vtc not only sacrifices low end performance but can lead to higher fuel consumption. otherwise, the wreckers is ur next best bet for cheap parts. -
Clicking/rattling Noise When Engine Rev
fcruz3r replied to Meebs's topic in V Series (V35, V36, V37 & Infiniti)
it u bought it 2 weeks ago, then it is still under warranty. Take it back and see if they can get it fixed. also with the oil thing, it only rattles if theres too little oil...not when overfilled -
from memory the tein super street has the pillowball and camber plates. if incorrectly adjusted or installed, the spring doesn't rotate when u turn the steering causing that knocking sound. get it re-installed and see how u go. Don't go to a suspension shop telling them the worst. some places wont be able to tell the difference and will just do an expensive rebuild on a perfectly good shock.
-
has a got a pillow ball top mount? if so, then the spring is not seated correctly so u get a grinding, knocking sound on slow turns or turn + going through bumps. take it to a good suspension store and get it adjusted correctly so there's no rubbing take it to wheels world, 4 Carbon Ct, Osborne Park had the same thing on my bmw before and they managed to get it installed correctly. they are pricey but u get good workmanship

Eoi: 18" Volk Gt-c Staggered Fitment
fcruz3r replied to fcruz3r's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
they probably would, although the rears would probably need some negative camber and fender rolling. You may want to ask in the stagea forums. I cant recall the wheel specs that I had on my stagea before but I think they were 9 inch with +31 and still had more room ...but please do some research coz i'm not 100% sure. The other issue would be you would probably need to swap either the front or rear tires to have the same profile otherwise your atessa would chuck a fit. -

Looking at selling my wheels Size: 18 X 9 +31 Fronts ( Face 1, 65mm dish, straight spokes) 245/40 18 - Legal thread depth but with inner camber wear 18 X 10 +31 Rears ( Face 2, 80mm dish, concave spokes) 245/45 18 - around 90% thread left (less than 5000km use) Condition: Zero dents, warp or gutter rash. Does not have center caps. Reason for sale: Want bigger and more aggressive fitting wheels Location: Perth Price: $2750 ono. Feel free to PM me offers, all reasonable offers will be replied to, but I'll ignore lowballers Trade / Swap: Might consider if you have any Japanese wheels in 19 X 9.5 / 10.5 with 0 to +15 offsets and based in Perth (reason is I have these wheels on my daily and dont have spare wheels to chuck on in the mean time)
-
thanks for the pics bee ...i never intended going coilovers and with 10.5 +0 offset, it would poke +4mm more ...so its a tad too much poke for my liking. ur last pic with the coilovers is good flushness ...but i can't see going over any road humps riding that low.
-
Hi Victor, You'll be fine mate, our cars naturally camber negative when lowering so u will find that those wheels that look like they're sticking out actually tuck in once lowered. i just wanted a different look...too many bigger and nicer gtc's out there at the moment
-
same here mate, trying to convince the other half that an evo 9 is actually a better family car. Had a look at a couple already but importing one in may be a better option. decided to hold off on the wheels for now coz after looking at the flushness of ur wheels, the ones I was looking at would stick out 22mm more...too much poke and would require a lot of roll/pull and maybe -3.5 to -4 camber
-
sweet pics bro....the car isnt bad either I'll let u kno if I end up with the wheels. at the moment havin d itch to change cars again.
-
sweet, just how i like it to sit. did you roll ur rear guards flat or was additional work needed to fit the 11's??
-
thks Richard. How wide are your gtc's on the rear and what offsets if you don't mind me asking? I'm contemplating a set of eurolines with nice dish.. wasnt really my choice of wheels at first...but i saw a pic of one in g35driver... dark blue car with massive dished eurolines....just thought I'd try a different look.
-
atm very conservative 18 X 9 / 10 +31 with 245/40 there's 2 sets of wheels im currently looking at 19 * 9/10 -9 both f & r or another set 19 * 9.5 +15 19 * 10.5 0 I like the 10.5 because it's got massive 5 inch dish
-
thanks oje. had a look at that website...but get varying comments. some with very low or negative offsets claim roll & pull while there are others with a higher offset saying the had cut & pulled fenders. def dont want to be cutting anything, but rolling is fine coz i've rolled the fenders on a couple of my other cars with no issues.
-
am contemplating going with a semi-aggresive offset ( aka guard roll only...no cutting or expensive body work) anyone know if I can get away with either 19 x 9F 10R -9offsets on both ...or 10.5 rear with 0 offset?? also dont mind slight ( -2.5deg camber) and/or stretched tyres.
