  1. ps levels looks ok...i did do a top up about 10,000kms ago and it's remained at the same level since. could be the ps lube is getting on and thickening...dunno...maybe i'm going to send the car to get the belts re-adjusted since I only replaced them yesterday...see if that helps.
  2. did that get rid of the squeal?
  3. my car started developing this terrible belt squeal on cold starts. it's only happening for the past week since it got colder...but it goes away after bout 5 minutes. had the serpentine and a/c belt replaced y'day but now the squeal is louder the old belts looked brand new too with no signs of wear. wondering what else it could be?? pointless leaving it at the dealers coz it does not happen at any other time of the day only in the morning when the car has been garaged overnight.
  4. there's other advantages of the smaller wheel...assuming smaller = lighter...then there's less rolling resistance and will give u slightly better milage. but with how low our cars are...i'd stick with the 19"...plus it just looks better
  5. there's almost a 4.5% circumference difference between a 275/35/19 and a 235/40/18 ...so the 18" tyre will cause your milage to show higher than what you actually travelled. This is what gives the perception of better fuel economy on the smaller wheel. as for consumption figures, this has been discussed in great detail before. do a search on past threads.
  6. due to the recent hail storm in perth, almost 11,000 cars got written off. How did you think the insurance companies were going to react to that??
  7. 400km for a 3/4 tank isn't too far off the mark. I get around 480-500km for 3/4 tankfull...and that at 8.7km/l
  8. no there should be no tractor rattle when turning off ur engine. It's a petrol v6 not a diesel dumptruck. also there is a slight injector pulse/ticking, but it isn't audible from inside the car
  9. it's using more fuel because the open pod is sucking in hot air from the engine bay. Meter reads same amount of airflow, but since it's less dense you are actually loosing power and having to drive the car harder put a heat shield around it.
  10. considering some V's came with 19" as standard option...i'd say you won't have any dramas going 20.
  11. sounds interesting Paul...anyone up for a drive to geraldton?? Steve, durians are an acquired taste...or rather smell...so wouldnt recommend it Richard, cruise sounds good....lets make it a spring one
  12. all those j4p wheels are polished...not chrome. If I had to pick out of tempe, it'll probably be the zenetti pro or kaotic ...or xp dirty dogs... again out of those choices....the stock 18" on a V35 would trump
  13. there's a youtube video to guide you through installing the plenum spacer. you will only have to take the top bit off unless you got the thermal kit with the lower spacer. grounding kits are easy to install...just do a search for best grounding points on the V35 (should be the same as a 350z). The only difficult one to get to is if you want to ground the auto-trans. gl
  14. those look like my sink strainers chrome and imports just dont blend well mate.
  15. exactly. considering if its not structural damage and only a scratch on 1 wheel !!! premium must cost a mint.
  16. first I've heard of an insurance company paying for a full set for 1 missing/damaged wheel.... definately an insurance company worth recommending. as for selling...i don't think you will get much bites with just 3 pieces. but good luck anyway. don't try an repair a wheel that's damaged on a spoke...it's dangerous and any "professional" company who is willing to do it, just make sure they warranty their work. I presonally wouldnt want to drive on wheels that has had repairs on a spoke.
  17. pffttt...and I thought you had JEDI powers
  18. probably not on both counts. The headlights and bumpers are different on the coupe and sedan.
  19. i got the nissan oem ones with the raised bump. looks & fits awesome. You need to get them from the states mate, it's cheaper and shipping is relatively quick
  20. quad tips on an aftermarket bumper like in the pic posted by loz-tuned looks the ducks nuts. but on a standard coupe bumper...they look too aristo
  21. around USD200 shipped. Expect to pay $380 at the very least from any local Nissan stealership
  22. also important to get the correct pads based on your usage. if u get race pads that are meant to operate at higher temps...chances are that cold braking will be sacrificed
  23. google on proper bed-in procedures for new pads having said that, some ceramic pads squeal even after proper bed in.
  24. carmate.com.au heard that some of their kits require re-work for proper fitment
  25. do you have the center caps for all 4?
