Hi, My HICAS light decided to come on today while driving and hasn’t turned off after unplugging all plugs and fuses and connecting everything back up, HICAS light still stays on. So I ran the Diagnostics only to find a heap of flashes that I can match to both different guides on the first page but both give different results... Here is what i got from the Diagnostics Long, Short, short, Long, long, short, long, long, short, Extra long flash where it the starts again... Can anyone help on this?? Regards, Ed

u have a point there.. i did a skid pan session with in the driver training and on the way home it was raining a bit and my brother (just got his Ps) decided to test out what he had learnt on the skid pan on the roundabouts. the only thing we was driving a shitty ford courier Ute thing that has no power but was still able to get it to slide and speed.

im a P plater in QLD have had my License for nearly 3 years now and had my R33 for about 8 months and the other day got caught by a speed camera doing about 70ish in a 60 zone at 2am in the morning (thought the road was 70) was my first time getting caught ever and i have driven many different cars and drive about 1000km a week. its stupid stopping people drive performance cars they should make them attend driver training every year i have attended 2 and i think they are the best you learn heaps.

i bought my dump/split pipe 2 weeks ago and will be attempting to put it on this week the only thing I am concerned about is if i snap a bolt off the back of the turbo. Would I have to then unbolt the turbo and get a new bolt or are the welded into the turbo??

R33 S2 Gearbox Removal
R33 Eddy replied to Stinky Rooster's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
he prob is, it took me 2 hole days from 8am to about 10pm at night in the rain with 2 mates helping out to get mine out take your time it will come out... i had to drop mine onto a spare tire just make sure u put it in a good position so it does not hit the ground maybe use 2 tires... it is a heavy prick as well so if u have enough room make sure u have 2 people holding onto it.. (way bigger then a R32 box) btw I got mine out with out undoing the exhaust or engine mounts which should drop it down another inch allowing it to slide out more… give it a twist as well so the bell housing/ starter motor can clear the firewall. -
hey ppl... how eazy is it to unbolt the stock dump pipe on a R33??? i cbf searching anymore

R33 S2 Gearbox Removal
R33 Eddy replied to Stinky Rooster's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
make sure u undo the engine mounts and unbolt the exhaust from the cat makes life a shit load easier i found out the hard way... make sure you jack the car up as high as u can.. Getting the thing back in is tricky as well i had to kick my box back in haha (only cause i didn’t think to loosen the engine mounts and exhaust till the last min ) -
move to QLD that rule aint in till july

How Do I Remove The Carbon Canistor
R33 Eddy replied to r33madd's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
thats what i would do.. well actually i belive mine has been relocated to the back of the engine bay cause it looks like someone has crated a bracket for it so they could install a pod filter.. just move it to a better location... -
i will also be doing this to my R33 in the future and by then im hoping to have most of the bolt ons done so the 10K will go straight to a rebuild or even a RB26 conversion for something diffrent (would have less ks as well)

you dont have to get fully comp, atm i can not afford fully comp and thought what is the point ill only get 5k back and if I don’t do that much damage i can rip the car apart and sell it in pieces for more. Anyway i just got 3rd party fire and theft better then nothing plus a 3 point immobiliser. Will be getting the alarm function installed soon. anyway rant over, good luck in finding your car ill keep a look out up in QLD for parts ect.
