Funny you should mention that boostd, I've asked them on a few occasions what the specs were on my high flow and they said they didnt know and would have to ask Precision (the company they sent it off to to get done). I havent got an answer yet. It makes 0.8bar at about 4k, under that it feels doughy I mentioned the turbo you built (I read the thread about your turbo build) and they said it wasnt a good idea to go down that path. They would sell me a brand new HKS2430 or 2540 for $2500. I'm currently wondering what to do.
  6. Yeah, Thats why im looking to get a HKS2530. SkydneyKid thinks they are the bees knees and are a better alrounder than the 2540.
  7. Do custom manifolds help at all - I just want to complete my car, get it tuned, and then leave it.
  8. 3" HKS catback exhaust + hi flow cat and front/dump pipe (probably no-name brands). FMIC I think is Micks metalcraft I also have regulator, pump, profec b, powerfc, clutch, adj cam sprocket (which wasnt touched in the tune), non ball bearing high flow standard R33 turbo, pod filter.
  9. Indeed Hicks. I've got a Z32AFM now (standard was maxing out) and i'm just thinking about getting a HKS2530 turbo to replace my high flowed one. I've never been to unigroup (or whatever the place is called) but from feedback on this forum they seem to be quite good. Maybe I should get my car checked out by them first with a list of recommendations of what to fix/replace. Getting the car tuned is expensive
  10. I've got a high flowed standard R33 turbo along with the stuff you have on your car (I have a powerFC though) and tuned at .8bar it only managed 252rwhp. I asked if it could get anywhere near 300 if I increased the boost to 1.1bar and they said youd be lucky to get 280. The car seems to be holding back.

  12. How much boost did you need to achieve that figure? Must be something wrong with my car
  13. What is the formula to achieve 400rwhp? My injectors (also stock items) were at 72% duty at 250rwhp on 0.8bar boost. I've been told by my mechanic not to run more that 1.1bar boost through my high flowed turbo (R33) because of my internals. 300rwhp would be nice if I knew how to reach it. Mark

  19. I would like to know what this is since I was under the impression the PFC doesn't have any Detenation controlled timing retard.... Thats what he told me, i've got no idea if its true or false - it sounded safe to me so I was happy. Mark
  20. Firebladejr, I got my powerFC tuned at Procar in Dee Why. They set up my fuel system (I had a fuel pump and regulator installed a few days prior to the tune). The guy who tuned it took about 4 hours on the dyno whilst I sat in the passenger seat watching the engine check light for him while he did his maths and explained what he was doing. After he was happy with the tune he reduced the timing by 2 and set a safety net somehow so if the powerfc notices very very unlikely readings it will handle things so the engine doesn't blow. I requested that the tune had to be on the safe side becuase I havent got the $$ to buy another engine in 6 months time. He told me he does this to every job. bbenny is another to ask on the forums about procar. He has a HKS powered R32 and has used procar for a dyno run. I think he was getting a safc tuned there are well. Mark

  23. We are talking the falcon ones from the pre AU model? I was going to get 2 old ones from the wreckers if they will fit and be better than stock rims.
  24. Have you still got those rims doc? would they fit my car, and would they be better than stock R33 rims for the strip? Mark
