  1. Yes, its a pain in the arse. I tried to purchase a plumb back BOV about a month ago from UAS but they did have any. Is this my problem? and what plumb back BOV should I get (i'll be running 1bar+ soon). Thanks Mr Kid.
  2. Have a look at nengun for the parts you need. If you dont know what nengun is, do a search on this forum. Mark
  3. I cant see myself. The only people i recognise are carlo, nick, tosh, andy, and ashley. Thanks for pointing it out Brendan. I missed out on the hot4s/fastfours spread back on the australia day cruise so now im feeling a bit better . Mark
  4. Will there be someone willing to teach a non-hoon how to 'drift'? If you give me 2 weeks notice (if on Saturday) or a days warning on Sunday i'll be in. Do we need helmets and long pants etc? Mark
  5. I cant even get the heatshield off - it must have been tightened by someone stronger than me when they did the turbo and leaking gasket down there. I was pointing it out just in case it could have been a problem. Mark
  6. How do i bump the idle rpm up on the powerfc?
  7. Yeah Steve, I have a 600hp fuel pump and adj. fuel reg. Could these be the key to my problems? Mark
  8. Why is it like that? I would have thought if it was meant to be like that the break would look straight and not jagged looking? Mark
  9. Indeed Ben, it is Merli's old car. It can be seen at the forsale section on www.gtr.com.au under gtst's. I wouldn't mind putting that front bar on my car. Its defectable because there is no front indicator. Mark
  10. I may have similar problems with my car. When I stop up a hill (this occurs when driving normaly beforehand) the revs drop really low (sometimes at this point the car stalls) and then pick themselves. This loops for about 5 seconds (at a frequenct of about 1 cycle per .5sec) and then the revs stabalize. Background: I have a s2 R33 gtst. I have a blitz BOV. My AFM maxes out at less than 250rwhp on the dyno. Sometimes when going up a hill at about 4000rpm by engine check light flashes (indicating my AFM is maxing out - its not the quick flashing that indicates pinging). I'm running low boost (0.6bar) when this happens. There is a Z32AFM sitting under my bed waiting to be installed to fix my AFM problems. Anyone know what my problem is? Mark
  11. rob, i've got 250rwhp and my injectors (stock) are at 70% (according to powerfc) duty from memory. Is there a ratio/relationship between power and injector duty? When I end up putting the Z32AFM on I want to up the boost to 1.1bar or so in an attempt to reach 280rwhp without having to get injectors (I have a adj. fuel reg and 600hp fuel pump). Mark
  12. Brendan, it looks like there is a piece of metal that has broken/chipped off in that first pic (the thing that looks like a washer in the middle of the photo). I'm guessing my turbo is close to the 450hp CGC hi flow. Mark
  13. Got any pics of the engine? I assume you didnt touch the engine bay? Mark
  14. Trust front bar (modified) on a s2 R33. It looks very familiar Mark
  15. Not sure yet Phill, i'm thinking about taking it to the place that looks after Mario's car. My last tune wasnt the best. I'm running too rich (blowing black smoke). I'll up the boost, put the Z32 on, and see how I go. Mark
  16. I told them I wanted "repacks" for around the $500 mark. Their direct line is: 9370-8861 located: 104 Vannessa rd/st Kingsgrove NSW. Hippy, i'll investigate ebay when i get a chance. Thanks. Mark
  17. For the KDLH-2000 HU, Hagemeyer Holdings sell them for $450 (rrp $750). Here are the specifications and description of the above head unit from JVC. Should I buy it? Mark
  18. Are they good prices craz0?
  19. Thats what I wanted to hear BigDatto, I dont care if its last years stock - they all sound basicly the same to me. I'll give that place a call and report back here about the JVC mp3 hu prices after lunch. Nick, did you give Alberts a call yet? what did they say? Mark
  20. Goldzilla, Just did a quick search on yahoo.com.au and found a small article about the alpine HU you purchased. Apparently it report them going for $469. http://www.carstereo.com.au/new/news.html
  21. Thanks for the advice goldZilla. dont be fooled by my location information - I've since moved out with my GF and live relatively close to Parramatta. Do you think any of the stores will be open on Sunday? (I might be able to make it late Saturday after work too). Do all MP3 units allow you to navigate the same way? or are there different styles from manufacturer to manufacturer. Mark
  22. Whats the tuner like? its not like tha japanese units where we have to get the band expander are they? Mark
  23. Thanks for the help Birnie and deorbit. I knew the place I went to for the quote was not going to be the cheapest... You were able to knock off $100 (1/5 of the price) from what I was quoted. What is e-bay like with car radios? worth having a look? Mark
  24. mine has the VG30 80mm setting.
  25. My double din cd/md/tuner is on the way out, so i'm after a head unit to replace it. Apparently it was an expensive $2k unit when new (probably about 3 or so year old now). I have splits at my place somewhere for the front, and 6" (or whatever size) for the rear. I dont plan on having a sub in the boot again so no need for fancy features i'll never use. Something that costs less than $500. I'm after a lower end of the market mp3 (single din) head unit and have been quoted $499 for a JVC KD-SX995 and $379 for the JVC KD-S895 from a local car audio place. Recommendations on what to get or places to shop will be helpful. Mark
