  1. What sort of offers are you getting? I'm thinking of selling my car - s2, silver, same as you + more mods and aprox same km (since people think its important). I'm wondering if I can use it to get a deposit on a unit. People willing to pay $25-27? Mark
  2. Ben, I meant HP. I've got full exhaust, pod filter, high flowed turbo, high flow cat, exhaust cam gear, profec B EBC, adj, fuel regulator, 400hp fuel pump, powerFC + H/C. Oops, forgot to tell you where I got the tune done. It was at Procar in Dee Why/Cromer (on the northern beaches). The guy tuned it in such a way as to be conservitive because I told him I want the engine to last more than 6months. He told me if I wanted more power, get some better pistons and maybe ditch the powerFC in favour of an autronic unit. That way I could reliable increase the boost since i've got a high flowed turbo. From memory, I think he said the AFM or something wasn't working. Mark
  3. I got my powerFC tuned today and went from 175rwhp to 252rwhp with .8bar. Problem is, the engine check light kept coming on when adding timing from about 210rwhp. The light flashed every 0.5 seconds which the powerFC manual says is caused by: - injectors may be at maximum capacity. The powerFC H/C reported that the max injector cycle was 72%, he also checked that each cylinder wasn't tuned to receive more fuel than others, and they wern't. He checked for pinging but could not hear any (powerFC manual states the engine check light flashes very quickly when pinging). I've got an adj, fuel regulator as well as a 400hp fuel pump. I'll add pics of my dyno sheets once i get access to a scanner. Any ideas why my check engine light comes on? Thanks in advance, Mark
  4. Anyone feel like escorting me to the meeting place from the northern beaches? Earlier this week I turned up to the steak place when everyone was leaving. I'm McWorking tommorow morning as usual so 9ish is a good time to start this cruise for me. Anyone coming from Harbord/frenches forest/etc. areas? BTW, what channel are we on? i'll bring my CB. Mark
  5. I'll be coming along if the cops arnt inspecting vehicles. Mark
  6. Yep, I exited the menu. Bugger, I hope when they tune it on wednesday that all the settings persist, otherwise its a big waste of money. I might PM sydneykid and see if he knows. Mark
  7. 1. Get powerFC tuned 2. buy some old 15/16" rims 3. buy some good grippy tires for the rims 4. attempt the 1/4mile 5. become a programmer 6. buy a investment unit, and if need be sell my car to achieve it. become pregnant
  8. The car seems better now it has the powerFC. Before, i was backfiring a lot, but after going on a 15min drive I didnt notice any. When I turned off the engine after taking it for a drive, then turned the engine on again, the check engine light returned again. It seems that the powerFC didnt save my settings when i disabled the optional boost control. How do i save my settings? thanks again for the help, Mark
  9. Thanks killer. I downloaded it the other day when you helped me out with it. It only printed to page 6 - the instruction for installation start on page 7. Its all good now, no warning lights are on. Should I be checking anything to make sure i dont damage the engine when i drive? Going for a slow drive now that i'm all excited. Thanks for the help, Mark
  10. How do i disable the option? Ok, found the section. Problem now is, I dont know what a japanese "on" or "off" char looks like. All options in this menu are set to what looks to be the two characters "py". The other option looks like "+:)" Anyone japanese? thanks sideways, Mark
  11. replace my old ECU with the powerFC 5min ago and when I started the car the engine check light came on and stayed on. I need to get to work tommorow, can I drive my car or do something to fix it? The powerFC is brand new and i've got the hand controller. I read on these forums I have to let my car idle for 45min to let it learn my car - is this the problem? My car is getting tuned next wednesday, should I put the standard computer back until tuesday? Thanks for your help Mark
  12. I've got my standard r33 turbo highflowed - did it a couple of months ago. I got it done with a lot of other work so i'm not sure how much it came to. Precision did mine (through Envy Imports located on the Northern Beaches). My car hits fuel/boost cut if I increase the boost a little bit past stock, so I bought myself a new powerFC which will be tuned next wednesday. I think B-Man has a high flowed turbo, but was more expensive and probably better than mine. Mark
  13. Thanks SydneyKid. Yesturday during my lunch break I tried disconnecting the battery, but since i've upgraded my battery its very hard to undo. Added to that, I cant really get at it because i've mounted my amp in front of it. The weekend will give me enough time to install it (with the help of the english PDF file i've just downloaded). Mark
  14. What are the steps for installing the powerFC? 1. disconnect battery 2. remove stock ECU 3. plug in powerFC + H/C 4. reconnect battery 5. switch off powerFCs EBC somehow in the menus (i'm running a profec B EBC, have full exhaust, pod, high flow turbo) is there a setting I can use on the powerFC so it doesnt do damage to my engine? My powerFC is brand new, would it have been tuned for a stock r33 gtst? Killer-T mentioned resetting, should I reset the powerFC and if so how do i do it? Mark
  15. I've been keeping track of my fuel consumption for some time now. Below is a link to the excel document I keep the information in. http://members.optushome.com.au/markhayden...onsumption1.xls Mark
  16. Thanks for the response. Benm: It ended up costing me $1600 for the powerfc + h/c brand new, delivered to my door. I've only had a quick look at the powerFC and it looks like there are no screws, just two lots of double sided tape. I haven't taken the h/c out of the box yet either. I've got a uni assignment to finish off tonight, I might see if I can plug it in tonight. I took a quick look at the manual and it had a lot of japanese characters on it so thought it safe asking here incase there was some kind of warning in Japanese. I recall reading about having to tell the powerFC i'm using a EBC? Mark
  17. My powerFC + H/C arrived today after purchasing it from Nengun performance. Could someone post the steps I need to follow to replace my old ECU with this one. From previous posts on the powerFC it looks like I dont have to tune it straight away, ie. I can drive around with it for a week or two before I gather enough cash to get it tuned - is this true. Should I wack it in just before getting it tuned, or can I put it in tommorow? thanks for all the replies, Mark
  18. Pictures and details of Andrew's car (including his front bar) are at: http://www.andrewho.com/forsale/white.php A guy I met in person a few weeks ago has a cousin that ownes Vision, so you may be able to work out something through him. I think his alias/nick here is "Mac33T" or something similar. He too was wanting a veilside front bar. EDIT: I'm back again. take a look at this recent thread: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...&threadid=13281 Mark
  19. Get a front bar like Andrews... If I had the money I would. I think he said it cost him $800 odd modified, fitted, and painted. Mark
  20. I bought INASNT's Blitz BOV on this forum and my mechanic fabricated an attachment so it replaces the stock BOV. Sometimes it stalls if i've had it on boost and stop fairly suddenly. Mark
  21. Nick: thanks for pointing out my headlights were on, I would have played all 18 holes and then when leaving found out my car would not start. I blame Carlo for distracting me as I parked, but he was invaluable when helping me select my club. Mark
  22. It was great to see a HUGE turnout for a great day of golf. Unfortunately being a beginner I came last, but i'm proud to say i've still got my balls Thanks Dino, my membership intact so i'll have to get around to putting the sticker on. Thanks again dluded for giving me tips and lots of laughts around the 18holes, I hope the other groups that turned up had as much fun as we did. The disapointing thing about the day was that the other guys didn't bring their skylines. I saw barinas, commadores, and alfa, etc. the only people driving skylines were in my group. One or two of the SAU members must have brought their kids along because there were hundreds of them (including 'replay'). Mark
  23. I've never played golf before, where do i get balls... there might be an old putter in the garage that I could use for everything - I have a feeling my golf will look closer to hockey. Any beginners turning up? Mark
  24. Would it look silly on a R33? From memory the boot goes up on either end where the stock wing is, what can be done about it? Mark
  25. They look good on your car Ben, I might get some to put on mine soon. How much are they going for? and will they be better for the drags than buying some stock r33 rims? Mark
