it is a bit hard to understand, but i know that when you mask and paint, if the paint thickness builds up, when you remove the tape you get a sharp raised edge. sorry its just a guess but does it mean by sticking down paper and folding it back, the edge of the paper will somehow soften the edge effect?

^^lol you dont want it for your skyline do you!?

LOL!

agreed that would be a damn fun little car! i would imagine it would be good on fuel too if your just doing city driving?!

Has Anyone Tried Continental Sport Contact 2 Tyres
Nacho Vidal replied to Dominic's topic in R35 GTR
as duncan said they are a street tyre and wont come near a semi, but that continental are highly used by a lot of top european cars including top end performance models, mainly because they provide decent grip whilst still giving these cars a quiet and comfy ride. So if its for a skyline youd prob be better off getting something stickier but noisier, as youve probably already got an exhaust which will override the benefits of any quiet tyre anyway. -
awesome! i loled at your little naked lady attempt

Best Looking Wheels On An R33 Gtst
Nacho Vidal replied to Nick033's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
rays ce28 volk te37 problem with these is that once youve seen them on a gtr they look weak in comparison on a gts. Was impressed with the dish of the xd9's! -
Ku36 Vs Federal Rsr
Nacho Vidal replied to IanB's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
ive got 36's on my gts-t and i must say i wasnt quite as impressed as i thought id be, i have no abs and locked it up a bit too easy i thought.. Ive had re55's before, not that i was expecting the same. BUt the 36's were cheap which was why i thought id give them a go. If you plan on hitting the track id say go the sticker option even if they wont last so long. -
Info On Hks Gt2835 Pro S Turbo Kit
Nacho Vidal replied to 89CAL's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
One of my fav memories of my car was when i changed from stock turbo to 2835proS. 200rwkw to 260rwkw feels like a jet taking off in comparison! good choice, it will put a smile on your face for a long time! -
Skyline R33 Gts-t Hks Gt2835 Pro S Vs Sti
Nacho Vidal replied to Turbz RB-25's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
so are you selling your gts t because you dont like the idea of losing to a wrx, 1/4 mile is priority, or you just really want a gtr? not sure if its been covered as i just skimmed the thread, but your pretty much maxing your turbo right now, with the stock cams. Cams will bump you up to only around 280+, plus it wont run more than the 17psi your running now, maybe just 0.5psi more. But if you like skylines, theres no better way to enjoy a skyline than in GTR form Just my 2c but i think even the older skylines are better quality than some of the late model wrx's. your current setup is a pretty awesome street setup however! Just bear in mind that if you jump into even a light tune gtr, its gonna feel heavy and slow compared to what your in now. The gts's feel much more chuckable and responsive. I drove a 300rwkw gtr and thought what the... be prepared to spend a house making it fast and reliable. -

Immculate 96 Yrs R33 Gtst
Nacho Vidal replied to Skylinekids04's topic in For Sale (Private Whole cars only)
Just because unique autosports decides to call that series II bar a "400R" bar, does not mean it is. Such a thing never came out on a 400R. There was no such "series II GTR 400R bar". Only ever been one type, with more central indicators and big ducts/vents. nice car free bump -

R34 Gtr Build Plan (track / Street)
Nacho Vidal replied to Got Boost?'s topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Wow Beer Baron has really got the bases covered here! Just to add, ARC gear, HKS 2530's and 34 GTR's in blue are awesome. How to eat a house deposit indeed Enjoy the build! btw Beer Baron, could you elaborate on the how the air pockets form in the head and how the ARC air separator works? also what happens to the majority of street/track cars that run a conventional setup without an air separator? cheers! -
Warlord, firstly let me state i am not defending travis, he clearly dropped some unwarranted comments. But seriously, your reply (or counter attack) was rediculously childish. "poo boy"(???), come on ask yourself is that not the response of an angry 12 year old?? Like i said im not defending his initial agitating response, and youve certainly done some great things with your car, but dignify yourself with some decent and mature responses rather than this schoolboy-like retaliation. Keep up the good work

I had a bad experience once with a supposed "high-flow" cat, and lost a fair bit of top end, however id love to see some back to back results of these modern style metal cats that i see a lot of users running. Currently running a Just Jap decat pipe. would recommend it if you want to go the decat option as its nice quality. Make sure youve got a good front pipe too.

^they certainly arent cheap by any means. Out of interest how much does it cost to to fully prepare a stock crank for your average tough drag/track engine? Martin HKS, whilst your here, can you comment on the power handling of the HKS step1/2? ive read that they seemingly use very similar components in the kits, and that even a step one kit should be good for far more than its 600ps rating. This would be good to know as there is a significant price diference.

exactly, while you can get easier power from a turbo setup, a screw charger will give you better drivability and instant torque! you dont get that mad rush, more of a feeling of increased displacement. Excellent balance next to most of the big power turbo setups. would like to see it done for something different!

ive heard tyre places that sell Khumo's say they are crap! but ive driven on the ecsta supra's and the k104's, and i have to say that for the price of these tryes, both brands perform extremely well, and by no means are you going to jump up and say "these are cheap tyres!" if someone handed you the keys to the car without telling you what tyres are on the car.

not trying to ruffle any feathers or bag any product, merely repeating what i was told when i was pricing up upgrades (CSC vs AP) by a reputable brake outlet (wont name names, but race brakes are their specialty) "CSC brakes would make a a good boat anchor". i was keen on the CSC's due to the price, and ive never used them so im not baggin them, but anyone know where those sort of comments couldve stemmed from?

Were Does Your 2530 Start Making Boost
Nacho Vidal replied to 1400r's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
surely it makes SOME boost before 2800, even a couple of psi? Its also gonna depend hugely on your tune and boost control method. At the end of the day it is an rb20! not exactly known for their super response and early boosting! -
exactly. and even if you are asking stock vs stock, it wouldnt take long on the net to find out the stock factory performance figures for any pair of cars. Sure vlts are potentially very quick, but as said once you bring mods in any POS can run 10's! lets not get into POS's.
