  1. Summary of the story above: you may not need a new motor.
  2. I haven't read all of the posts above, but I thought I'd share my experience: the window motor stopped working too. First it was half working, then completely stopped putting the window down. Went to Nissan who stated I require the whole motor to be completely replaced. They quoted over $1k for the job. After speaking to an electrician, I was informed that the motor inside just likely needs a bit of cleaning. There are plenty of instructions that can be found online on how to get to the motor. When you disassembly the motor, you may realise that it consists of moving parts that just get worn out and need cleaning for better contact (research a little about how a motor operates if in doubt). After a good clean of the coils etc, it works great so far.
  3. AU Ford Falcons(or derivative) have this problem: the light bulb attachment melts. Maybe the same occurred in yours, but I assume you have checked...
  4. The Kit I have is the Bosch from the group buy. As I said, I am in no rush and more than happy to wait for an actuator and the next time that you will come down here (presumably gone by the time actuator would arrive and assuming both instances will occur within this year).
  5. Looks like I have missed Chris for any time soon for lights conversion. Tried Just Jap - apparently they don't do it... Doesn't make sense as they get cars complied.... Anyone know any other places around Sydney? Local electrician, that no one has been to, is not an option - ones I tried didn't have a clue that you had to either take off the bumper or access from underneath. That is worrying to me.
  6. Chris, you should seriously move to Sydney... We so need you here more!
  7. Yeah, there is a whole thread on V35 sub forum about that place - many positive experiences.
  8. Anyone know of a place that can install the lights for me in Sydney. I prob can do it myself, but I rather not risk it never having it done before, lol.
  9. Any recommendations where to get one installed in Sydney?
  10. OUch... Bummer that no one else wrote down his details and gave them to you either
  11. Just don't try to get an alarm installed there, lol.
  12. Does anyone know if he is open on Saturday? Bit late to call and I am too eager to find out... haha
  13. Just been to Tempe. They discovered a cracked rim - $100 to fix. Problem was only that it cracked in the place where it cracked before and my Saturday got ruined by a huge bill or replacing the rim and the tyre (tyre had a gash big enough to see the inside casing).
  14. It was an awesome day. Too bad I lost everyone after dinner...
