  1. I saw a 2009 NISSAN MAXIMA RADIO/ NAVIGATION UNIT going for $700USD on ebay so just wondering if I can buy the head unit and swap them over.
  2. Hi, Just wondering can you run a Nissan Maxima or Murano or 370Z head unit on G37? I'm assuming firmware for those model may able to allow G37's head unit to spit out English (totally speculating here as I know nothing about the software) Cheers!
  3. I was just referring to sedan lineup. skyline sedan is currently offered in 3 line up and called 250GT, 250GT 4WD and 350GT. Coupe version is known as 370GT. At the moment there is no 370 version for sedan but initifity has launched 370 version of sedan. Please refer to below for your reference: V36 has currently offered in 4 distinctive models: * 250GT - 2.5L VQ25HR V6, 225 PS (222 hp/165 kW), 268 N·m (198 lb·ft) * 250GT FOUR - 2.5L VQ25HR V6, 225 PS (222 hp/165 kW), 268 N·m (198 lb·ft) 4WD * 350GT - 3.5L VQ35HR V6, 315 PS (311 hp/232 kW), 365 N·m (269 lb·ft) * 370GT - 3.7L VQ37VHR V6, 333 PS (328 hp/245 kW), 363 N·m (268 lb·ft) 250GT sedan Transmission is 5-speed automatic on all model ranges. 4 wheel drive is standard on 250GT FOUR models. 250GT Type S was introduced in 2008 model year. 350GT sedan Transmission is 5-speed automatic on all model ranges. 4-wheel active steering is available in Type S and Type SP as option. 370GT coupe Introduced in 2008 model year, it is a Japanese version of Infiniti G37 coupe. Transmission is 5-speed automatic on all model ranges, with 6-speed manual on Type S and Type SP. 18-inch wheels are used on base and 370GT Type P, while Type S and Type SP includes 19-inch wheels. 50th Limited It is an option for 250GT Type P, 350GT Type P, 350GT Type SP, 250GT FOUR Type P, commemorating 50th year of Nissan Skyline. 4. I've hear going rate for V36 350GT is quite steep at the moment, well above 2,000,000 Yen Type SP 06' Model is listed on Yahoo auction for (Yen) 2,300,000. http://page5.auctions.yahoo.co.jp/jp/auction/e80766528 I am hoping with introduction of new Infinity G37 with its V6 VQ37VHR engine added to sedan lineup will happen in JDM as well to drive down the price of V36 350GT Sedan.
  5. Thanks for that MFC05, Haha technology is wonderful thing isn't it? maybe I should learn to use the latest invention called "Search" Well I'll just have to stay tunned to see what will happens to the V36 then. Happy motoring
  6. Thank you rs73 for detailed information. I certainly appreciate your insightful knowledge. Certainly is a expensive exercise to import a car....
  7. Hi there, Good to see so much discussion is taking place to improve the 350GT I might be totally wrong here but here it goes. My understanding of the TV setting is quite differ interms of broadcasting method for each country. For example: Japan: ISDB-T Korea: T-DMB Europe: DVB-H USA: MediaFLO Australia: DVB-T These are not your analogue signal but digital signal currently used in most of mobile devices. Australian signal is not compatible with ISDB-T if I am not mistaken, thus no point of fiddling with TV tunner. But SatNav would work regardless as long as right GPS Map for the host unit can be found. Cheers, DY
  8. Hi all, I am new to this forum and just wanted to take this opportunity to say Hi and ask few questions while I'm at it. I've been on a holiday to Japan couple of months ago for the first time and I just fell in love with that country and with their automotives. I had pleasure of driving Nissan Skyline Sedan rent car from Nissan Rental (pretty obvious). Now that I am back to Good old Sydney, I was wondering if I could import that car. I am catching up with readings on this forum for enlightenment on art of importing car as I have never done this before. But I honestly need some guidence from the Master Importers. My Question is 1. Is V36 - 350GT allowed into the country yet? I've searched SEV list and found: 509/00 MA Nissan Skyline V36 10/2006 Current VQ35HR 3.5ltr 232kW V6 Engine – 145kW/tonne - YES Does this mean it is allowed to be imported? 2. Compliance (RAW) Is there any work shop who is eligible to carry on the compliance work for V36 - 350GT yet? And if there is, what is the cost please? 3. Parts for VQ35HR Is parts for V36 - 350GT compatible with V35 or 350Z Fairlady? 4. 350GT Type-SP I was wondering if all the Sat-Nav and Menu can be "Fixed" to Australian or English setting. I was told 350GT is a HDD Satnav and not a DVD one so I can update the maps using SD Card but will I be able to load it up with any version of Australian GPS Map? 5. Price How much will I be looking at to import this car? I was told on price guide as 2,500,000 - 2,800,000 Yen for 06' model I'll look forward to hearing from you. Cheers, DY
