wired in extra cig socket behind dash and ran the cord that came with camera to behind rearview mirror. works great. now just have to figure out how to adjust date and time because atm in driving in 1970 i might. will get back to you

yeah i was going to do that, but I opened up the plug and theres a small PCB (with probably a step down transformer - the manual says the camera needs 5v not 12v) which i figure needs to stay. might just pickup a spare cig lighter socket form ebay and wire that in, then plug in camera locked up the brakes in the wet today because an idiot decided his lane was too stationary and he wanted to be in the adjacent lane (mine) in which traffic was moving at 70 odd km/h. ended up within a meter of his rear bumper.

the light source on the bear is a different direction to that on the team. also white balance is off.
