  1. Its on my DS strut tower. Above the fuse box. Fastened to the car in the same way as a VIN plate.
  2. Hey all.. Wondering if anyone has one of these or seen one of these plates on their car. not sure what it all means, if it means my car is special or anything, so any infomation would be really helpful. Cheers
  3. Hey all, Just wondering if anyone had bought a Trust/Geddy intercooler kit for an R33 from Sliding performance? I got mine the other day and just wondering if anyone had trouble finding a vacuum line for the wastgate on a standard turbo? I'm not sure where i can get a vacuum live from.. Whether I can use the Blow off Valve vacuum line.. or if it needs to be on the pressure side of the throttle butterfly, as apposed to from the intake plenum where it is under vacuum when throttle is closed. If anyone has got one of these kits and has a good idea, or can shed some light on the situation, please do. Thanks all
  4. hey all. I have something to report that happened to me this afternoon and was wondering if it happened to anyone else. I have a 93' r33 GTST Manual, with the 5 speed standard box and a twin plate exedy chutch with standard fluid lines, standard master and slave cylinders too. I was driving home this afternoon and i shifted from 3rd to 4th and the clutch pedal felt weird. I pumped the pedal a few times thinking it was an air bubble and the on the second pump, i lost the pedal all together. I pulled over and had a look under the bonnet to see if i was leaking fluid, but i wasn't, i looked under the car to see if anything was obviously wrong. I found the clutch release fork loose in the hole in the bell housing. I'm thinking that its the fork retaining clip.. The long belt wire looking thing. Just asking if anyone else has had this happen to them and what did they do to fix it or improve the design. thanks all... P.s... I'm devistated the gearbox is gonna have to come back out again!
  5. Dunno if this is the right place to put this question but i wanna know if anyone knows of a business where i can get kevlar fuel hose on the central coast or in sydney. i want to replace all my fuel hosing. phone numbers, business names, websites will all be handy. thanks all
  6. Hey all, Just wondering if anyone knows what tools you need to polish the standard BOV pipe on an R33 GTST. i know it can be done because I saw it in Hot 4s. any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks
  7. hey all... In the R33 GTST when the door is open theres a beeper to remind you the door is open.. maybe a security thing??? no idea.. has anyone disconnected it? i don't know where to start lookin. the guy that owned the car before me made a huge mess of the wiring thanks
  8. hey man, if your pulling your box out and apart why not get some upgraded parts rather than the stockers again? probly get some added performance and they'll last longer.. i'm thinking about upgrading to an OS Giken gearset cos i've just put an Exedy twin plate in the car... need the gearbox to keep up with it lol
  9. you might find the whirring noise to be the reverse gear itself. its a striaght cut "spur" gear.. physically sliding in and out of mest when selected... the other gears are always in mesh and the synchros connect them to the main and layshaft.. all manuals in reverse make a whirring noise in reverse.. don't worry too much about it i rekon anyway.... if your drivin a skyline.. why are you going backwards anyways?
  10. it depends on the clutch kit you buy.. i had one awhile ago and the specs were 85Nm for the pressure plate bolts... the flywheel on the other hand is always number 4 on the rattle gun lol
  11. hey all. just wondering if anyone has thought about or actually put into practice modifying the stock gear stick into a short shifter. leaving the thread on the stick and taking out excess material from the middle... probably about 40-50 mm shorter... has anyone tried this?
  12. hey all.. has anyone in here tried to make their own short shift kit out of the old gear stick? i was thinking about it today whilst taking my gearbox out for the second time in 3 weeks. clutch problems.. anyway i was thinking about cutting the stick basically in half and welding the threaded part of the stick back onto the lower half that sits in the top of the box. not just a spot weld but a full-on weld that wont break in a hurry... anyones thoughts would be helpful and taken into account.. just so you all know.. i'm NOT going to do it for certain... i'm just getting opinions. thanks guys
  13. can anyone tell me if this is a twin plate clutch? i've only every seen them in magazines and assembled.. this one seems to be sealed. as you can see from the pictures there are a few signs that it is indeed a twin plate clutch and if it is i may have solved the problem
