its simple supply and demand and yes i have had offers over $5000, if heaps of people want it and there isnt many available the price goes up, and for $10,000 for a race import u can get an off tap rx7 that would be worked off its head, so for another say $10000 they could have it road registerd still only costing them $20,000 when a similar is available here for $30000-40000. alot of people see it as saving heaps even if they pay shitloads for the shell and vin. in the end they still get a bargin.

i have an aus spec series 6 that i have taken a small crash to the rear quarter. if i was to part it out the going rate on the shell and vin number would be alot more then $5,000 also rotory engines are hard to sell cause they go "pop" very easily AS for this series 6 i suggest someone grab there cams licens buy this car and go nutz.....FD's are the bomb on the track
