My r33 gts-t backfires at high rpm when backing off the gas... pop pop pop i have re-gapped my plugs to .8mm too and it didnt happen before that so im guessing its got something to do with that... Not to sure why but yeah.. M

oh really its just seems quite hot when i touch it thats all, mind u i guess it does kinda move quick. Never thought of that. Thanks paul

any particular stuff u used? i got some foam stuff with some silver stuff on top about 5mm thick.

Hey guys does anyone know if there is an advantage of wrapping the intercooler pipe that runs over the radiator/fan with heat wrap to try keep the heat down as it seems to get quite hot. Has anyone done it with better results? Let me know Cheers M

I had this problem for about 2 weeks and i checked my coils tonight and found one hairline crack, did all the glue and tape thing... And SWEET more boost re gapped the plugs to .8 and yeah sweet as. Thought i would let everyone know too. NICE FIND Matt

Well i just looked at all the coils and found a little hairline crack, so i had a read of the following topic: http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/in...56&hl=coils and wala did what it said. took the coils out looked at them with a magnifying glass and found a small crack, used pvc tape and sweet i have boost again right to redline. Maybe only a temp fix but saved me $$$ on coils i didnt really need quite yet. Cheers for ya help Matt

BTW i just had a dyno run today came back with 150.7 (stink i know) but around 125km in 4th the line dips and again at 134km it dips again then again at 148km/ph and the guy sasid he fixed it. IM CONFUSED!!

Guys, I got a r33 gts-t 1994 and when i put the foot down in pretty much any gear about 4000rpm my car starts popping when the revs are going up on full boost. The boost stays the same bit it feels like it surges then back on surges then back on right up to redline... Would this be a fuel pump or maybe even coils Im running a stock bov, fmic, cai, and a standard ecu. Ive have it into a mechanic and they still cant seem to find anything worng with it. (maybe they not as heavey footed as me. Mind u on 5psi it wont pop only on 10psi it will. If any of you can lend a falla a hand i thank u in advance Cheers Matt

Im a little confused on what a copper can defect you for. I have a r33 skyline turbo (of course) FMIC CAI standard BOV with intercooler pipes going over radiator etc. So why or what can they defect u for like is there any guidelines on a website that say u can do this or not etc. Cheers M

I have the same problem as this first lad, and have fitted the same BOV, can someone tell me why it pops and farts at low boost when ya take ya foot off? is it because my car is running a airflow meter and not a map sensor? or how can i still use the new BOV without changing back to the old one?

Hi all, I have a RB25det 94 R33, and was wondering what i should do next in kinda order from smallish mods to the bigger ones ie turbos etc. Currently i have HKS air filter, CAI from the front kit, 600x300 intercooler with pipes running over the radiator turbosmart vee port BOV, 3 1/2 exhaust turbo back. Im currently running Bp ultimate and is yet to be tuned to that fuel as its only been tuned to 95 octane. So from minor mods up to the bigger more costly stuff i guess what do you all think i should do for more performance and power.. Thanks for those in advance for your comments.. Cheers Matt

Hi all, Just looking at getting an intercooler (yes i searched) but are unsure on what size is to big for what i have done. Its an R33 gts-t with 3'' zaust turbo back, hks filter, and cold air box. I have been quoted $2000 for fitting and supply of a 600x300x76 (core size) and vee port BOV is this an overkill for what i have or should it be sweet. I live in north queensland and it gets pretty humid and hot here (if that matters) im unsure. But yeah if someone can lend a hand that would be awesome BTW once the intercooler is on will it up the boost at all? im running 9psi at the moment Cheers M

Hi ppl, Just brought a Auto gauge Water temp gauge and it has a 1/8 npt thread i think, and where the sensor thingee that has the wire on it for the dash gauge is like 10mm metric i think. My question is does anyone know how to attach the bung supplied with the gauge to the hole in the housing where the standard one is? as the standard one is readling like 20deg out from the bung supplied. Hope its explained right. Cheers M
