Hi the other day i was giving my car a bit of a workout and the orange check light came on a few times. I just asumed my car needed a service or does anyone know what else it could be or what it means??? Anyway i want to give my car a service myself and my mate is trying to tell me if i buy the iridium or platinum NGK spark plugs im going to need to get them spaced otherwise they won't work right and will sound crap. Is this true and how can i space them??? Its for a R33 GTS-T. Thank you in advance

Hi i know this has been spoken about many times but i can't find anything to directly answer my questions. So if you do know previous threads please let me know the links to them and don't just say its been said before. 1) Does it affect the performance of the car? 2) Does it do perminant damaged that will stay even if i unblock it? And what is this damage??? 3) Does the flutter get quieter as time goes on? Thank you in advance.

I don't know i always assumed that with a good full turbo back exhaust with dump pipe and hi flow cat, front mount, good cold air intake setup, power fc, fuel pump and a bit of boost and you would be in the 12s. Am i wrong for thinking this???

Hi i remember seeing not to long ago a custom stainless steel pipe that went from the afm to the turbo that was ment to reduce restriction and i just wanted to know what it is called and where i can get one? Also do people notice a difference? Thanx

Yeh they are very very low but they look awsome. Just drop the back more so the front lifts a bit more lol

Well the intercooler you have should cover the whole gap (it did for mine) but when you get the front bar make sure it is even on both sides before you paint it. I bought one and there is a gap on one side of my intercooler as the front bar is uneven and no its not my intercooler as its hitting against both chassis rails. This is what it looks like.

Yeh front mount is a safe and smart choice before running higher boost.

It sounds like your alternator. Best way to check it is to start your car and then disconnect one of the terminals from your battery. If the car turns off its your alternator but if it doesn't then its something else.

I think they have to be behind the front bar. They can't be hanging at the front with sharp edges where people can cut themselves but don't quote me on that.

Hi i was just thinking of putting a POD filter box to stop hot air getting in and i was wondering if i put a heat box around the POD would enough air get in as you are blocking off the filter. Where is air going to come in from? Also would the induction noise be as loud?

Yeh the Power FC has a boost controller im thinking of putting it on 11 or 12 psi.

Hi, im about to get a power fc tune for my R33 GTST. These are the mods i have: Front mount Exhaust with dump pipe Cold air Z32 AFM Power FC Just wanted to know if i should put anything else to maximise the power i can get out of the tune. Or anything that i should be adding to make it run safe. But nothing major like i don't want to go bigger turbo or anything.

Yeh your right i have recently changed the timing belt. So you don't reckon anything has warped or bent or anything. One person tried telling me my cam shaft may be bent as my distributer moves alot when the car is turned on. Remember its a rb25det.

Well i was being an idiot in my car giving it a real workout on a pretty warm day. Since then my car has been making a weird hobering noise kind of like the sound ufo's make in movies. It's coming from the timing belt area. I was wondering if anyone would have any clue as to what it is. I took it to one place and they think maybe my timing belt is on too tight? Could this be right???

Hi recently my stupid timing belt flew off while the car was running and i snapped 2 valves in my engine. I replaced those valves and then started it up and it had a ticking noise. Eventually the ticking noise went and then i drove it around a bit and all of a sudden my car over heated and started stalling. Then since then it is making a hobering noise when the car warms up after starting. The noise isn't constant just on and off but noticable. What could this noise possibly be??? I assume it is from when the timing belt flew off what other damage could of it done??? It is a skyline r33 gtst.

Well this happened to me not to long ago and i snapped 2 valves. But with me my timing belt flew off if this happened to you or anything to do with the timing belt while the car was running then you have almost 99% snapped 2 valves. Big headach. Also make sure you check your hydralic valve lifters.

Hi i got a 3inch exhaust catback and i want my car to sound crazy but still perform as best as it can. I just wanted to know if i should get a screamer pipe or a dump pipe. Does anyone know the advantages and disadvantages of both and the power gains i can expect from both??? Also my car is running a stock standard turbo. Thank you.

So far in my car i have these mods: apexi power fc 3 inch exhaust cat back front mount z32 airflow meter with apexi pod 12psi do you reckon it would be worth putting a dump pipe on for now until i get a bigger turbo to put a screamer pipe? Also what power gains am i looking at if i put a dump pipe? Also if i put a bigger turbo would a screamer pipe get good power compared to a dump? Also SINISTA are you running that off a stock turbo?

Hi i was just wondering what the difference is between a dump pipe from the turbo to the cat and a screamer pipe? what are the advantages and disadvantages of both from stock and also what is required for both? THank you.
