It starts on Sunday, with the usual 60-minute SBS package, followed by a 30-minute show on Nine next Saturday and the Fox repeats. The SBS package will also be uploaded to YouTube in the week or so after it goes to air. The full Mallala schedule is; Sunday May 6 :: SBS, Speedweek, 12noon Wednesday May 9 :: Fox Sports, Inside Speed, 8:30pm Saturday May 12 :: Channel Nine, Toyo Drift Australia Series, 12noon Thursday May 17 :: Fox Sports, Toyo Drift Australia Series, 7:00pm
  2. If Easto keeps driving like he did at Barbagallo, he'll have his own TV ads in the not too distant future. Chris will be among the interstate drivers trying to end the dominance of hometown drivers in the last 18 months - at every event since the start of the '06 season where there has been a local driver in the field has been won by a local driver. For the people who have been following the progress of the V8-powered Nissan Skyline built by GT Autosound in Adelaide, they've got their own behind-the-scenes videos up on YouTube that you may like to check out. They're at http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=gtautosound
  3. As mentioned earlier in the thread, Barbagallo will be on Channel 9 tomorrow, Saturday with a Fox Sports repeat next week. If anyone doesn't get a chance to check it out on TV, or wants to watch it again, the full one-hour package is now online. Check it out at Drift Australia's YouTube channel
  4. It's set to be a big weekend. There's also going to be the East Coast Supermoto Series running on the North Circuit during the weekend.
  5. The 2006 Toyo Drift Australia Series will conclude at Oran Park next weekend, September 23-24, and the winner of the 2006 title will be decided. Leighton Fine currently has a 121 point lead over Robbie Bolger, with Beau Yates a further six behind. There's 500 points on offer, though, so anything can happen. The basic set up is like this. If Leighton makes it into the Top 4, the Championship (and 'Australian Drift Champion' crown) is his, while Bolger and Yates will both be out to take the win and put the pressure on. Anyone got a tip for the title? Anyone heading out to Oran Park next weekend? BTW, Round 4 from Tassie is on TV this Sunday on SBS from 12 noon.
  6. The Toyo Drift Australia Series makes its first visit to the Apple Isle next weekend (August 19-20) with Round 4 of the 2006 season at Symmons Plains. Anyone heading out there? Got any bold predictions? BTW, if you're in Tassie next week, you might like to head out and say g'day to Darren Appleton, Beau Yates and some of the TasDrift regulars at some appearances around the state, starting at Baskerville Raceway this Sunday. There's a full list at www.driftaustralia.com.au
  7. Evening all, Just a quick note, you can catch the Eastern Creek action this Sunday at 12 noon on ‘Speedweek’ (SBS). The 1-hour show will also be aired on ‘Inside Speed’ (Fox Sports) on Wednesday August 16 at 8:30pm.
