Tomei 2.8 stroker kit 86.5mm pistons new N1 block fully prepped Head ported on inlets exh man extruded and port matched. T517z 8.0cm x 2 Tomei 270/10.8 procam, springs, buckets and valves ACL race bearings Trust down/dump pipes through nismo cat and exhaust tomei Internal and bosch enternal fuel pumps with surge tank and sard 800cc injectors ATI H balancer Motec m800+ map sensors HKS evc5 Trust drag FMIC and induction piping Trust ext sump/remote oil clr Tomei oil pump nismo water pump 366 (491hp) awkw @ 1.5bar on dynapack According to HPI magazine power train losses in GTR's is 35% ( utter bullsht if this was true the car would be on fire and is an insult to the engineers that designed it a more realistic figure would be 10% maybe 15% at the outside. This would mean the engine is outputing around 580 bhp or 440 kw. HPI would say 750 bhp or 575kw) The impression is that there is an obsession with max power in Australia which in the scheme of things means fk all the seppos are the same whereas the rest of the world is not overly concerned with peak power but how it is delivered. HPI should stop selling bullsht magazines with false power figures . Gives young impressionable people the wrong ideas. Torque/power curve in real world is much further to the left as full throttle not applied on dynapack till 3000rpm Response can be increased considerably with vernier cam pully adjustments .. set up now for midrange.

Hi all Have just overhauled my gtr and have many parts for sale The car came from japan as a grade 4.5A 1996 series 2 with only 39000km on engine .It had 47000km on it when it was removed with crank and pistons not removed bores perfect. I renewed the block and rotating gear with an N1 and Tomei 2.8 kit You could fit a recond head and your sump and you would have a near new engine All the rest of the following gear came from the same car. 1/ fuel pump, regulator and standard injectors $450 2/ AFMs $250 3/ Standard turbos and dumps no end play never boosted VGC $1050 4/ 05U block with crank pistons and rods still attached. Also oil and water pumps still fitted (no head or sump still have old flywheel) Will not separate VGC $1800 Sold 5/ original FMIC $350 6/ Full Brembo brakes - discs, calipers new ss pads(95% left) hoses brackets etc just bolt it on! $2250 Rear brakes minus rotors sold ..rotors and front calipers/brackets etc left make an offer sold 7/ Original shocks and springs $300 8/ Airbox, turbo inlet and outlet pipes $250 9/ original radiator vgc $150 10/ R33 gtr wheels (tires no good)vgc $1600 Am open to offers but only sensible and close to my price

Probably just reiterating what every one else said but just had a 2.8 stroker built using an new N1 block ( fully prepped) using all the same parts as a tomei derive 2.8 with 270/10.8 pro cams and ati pulley Trust T517z 8.0cm dumps .Have only just run it in so will be interesting to see how it goes at 1.5bar. What I am saying is you would be better off getting it built here - Quality is second to none. Better off for comeback also! Bit hard if you had a problem but Tomei engines are also high end stuff - also if you add some optional extras like mine it would cost a lot more for the same thing from Japan . Lots of good engine builders in Australia - its not rocket science. Thats my 2c Cheers

Titanium an optional extra in Japan from the beginning gay funkymonkey

I think this car is brilliant and love the shape and all the engineering gone into it by very dedicated engineers. It is the epitome of a Japanese super car and looks like one to. If I could I would not change a thing. To all you knockers you crack me up. Its my next car for sure.

Hey guys I'll be over there for most of Janurary and hear you talk a lot about Shibuya and Shinjuku Was looking at the Shinjuku Star seemed to be fairly central Hotel and going by tourist blogs seems a good spot for a base . Whats Shibuya like cheaper grog nightlife etc. ?? Know of any good hotels there up to 150K/night Haven't been there for 20 years so any help would be appreciated. Would't mind meeting up with some fellow SAU members while I am there ONYA Mike

Hi I missed out on Sydneykids kit but he was good enough to refund the money Bit of a mix up with courier arriving and me away. Wife too. Hope to get some of his other gear later. Sydneykid has some great posts Ike

Try 25-30K if you want it to last. Thats just the engine and thats conservative. Upgrade all your coolers. That's a shitload of power. Even bolting stuff onto a new N1 bare engine will not give that reliably. Then overhaul all the rest of the running gear. Big bucks

Mate Why are you selling Keep the car it will be good for your soul Especially in your current situation. I am going thru the same thing and would be lost without my gtr Avoid lawyers if you can they are devils in disguise Be humble with the girl till its legally over you may get more. Twenty years of female stealth control are over for me phewwwwwww Shite buisness this divorce stuff All the best mate and hope it works out for you. (make it happen) Keep the car.
