I am the national importer/distributor for Beltronics, and I have a version called the FX2 Accelerometer... All of these devices (Beltronics, G-Tech, Pivot, etc) are similar but the difference is in how many times a second the unit measures the G-forces, and how many parameters you can input about the car (weight, drag, roll effect, etc)... I have used the FX2 in my car and it is registering a average time of 12.7, and although I haven't taken it to the drags yet, I am sure it would post a very similar time (probably a little better with a burn out and race prepaired track). I think that they are a great way to see if a gain has been made when you change something or upgrade a modification. There is an extra cable you can buy to link it to your computer and with the free downloaded software, you can view upto 10runs with break downs of 60', 120', and 1/4mile with 0-100 and ET... it also shows the HP based on the inputed parameters-Vs-the G-forces. You can clearly see where you make the gear changes and you can also look at the power curve to try and make it as smooth as possible with tuning. Very neat piece of gear... Brother-in-law is a tinter for tint-a-car and did mine for nufin but I slipt him a pineapple for the cost of the tint... its a new slightly thicker film (18%)... I was going to go for the legal 35% but thought if the cops pull me over and want to sticker the car, they will just pick on something else if not my tint, my exhaust or ride height... I like the tint so to hell with what the cops think of it, legal or not... its what you want. If you want a good job cheap I could ask him... but I have also used trent a few years back and I would use him if I didn't have someone in the family to do it for me!

Hey Guys and Gals, Going to do a oil change on the GTR in the next few weeks and I will be getting some Motul oil from a contact in QLD... but I would appreciate any input/experience others have had with this brand, and better still, specific grades. Also the guy has told me that the guys at NISMO use a different than standard Motul grade so I will be keen on that stuff... both front/rear diffs and g/box. How much will I need? Thanks Scotty

Hey Gary, Give my brother a call at northside nissan (Adam McGuinness) in the parts department... That would be my best bet??? Maybe ask the PITS if they know where to source one from if you have no luck at northsides? I didn't know it was a legal requirement to have a tyre placard?

depending on who you are insured with you should have a free windscreen a year... just make a cliam and make sure they arrange for a genuine one... why pay for it if the insurance will give you a freebie without messing your no claim bonus!?!

my best ever... 492km and there was still about 8-9L in the tank! I am assuming its the warmer air would be the cause of the recent increase in economy... jumin up from a usuall 410-420... although I did cruise to mandurah and back doing the speed limit the whole way (no thrashing at all).

The handheld lasers can be mounted to a tripod for further accuracy... they set these up a lot near Mandurah so I am told. fr0st, just come and see me, we can test your "concept" with our laser

I already do this for a living! Everyone can also breath a sigh of relief, because radar detectors have been removed from the road safety political agenda... the stir-up that began in January this year is now gone :sorcerer: p.s. J_R32 ... 40km/h for school zones is the best thing the govt has implimented as far as speed limits are concerned... it's a far cry from being shit... do you think these primary school kids give a 2nd thought about how effective a skyline's abs system is before they run out onto the road without looking? The longest stretch of 40km/h school zone would have to be 800m, which travelling at 40km/h will take you 72 seconds, yet at the normal 60km/h it would take you 48 seconds. I would rather slow down and spend and extra 24 seconds of my life in order to possibly save a kids... wouldn't you?

Well I would much rather have people pay a once off licence and driver training program, which will make our roads safer, allowing the Govt. to maintain the roads better, which then allows faster/safer driving. Just think of how much the average joe has coughed up in speeding fines over the years... I am sure I would over $1000

Gotta disagree with that comment... Speed zones in Australia are (for lack of a better phrase) totally whack! The Govt. post certain speed zones for the so called "intrest of public safety" but we all know it is so they will catch people driving a little (or in some cases a lot) over the limit and raise revenue from this. It is a fact that road safety SHOULD be first and foremost, not revenue... money can't buy a life. Think of the Autobarn in Germany... no limit and very busy a lot of the time, but people respect the speed they are travelling and stay in the appropriate lane... the road is in excellent condition and can driven safely at speed... but given other roads in Germany you wouldn't be safe doing 60. There are studies to prove that a road should be driven at a speed it is safe to drive on, and most roads in Australia are safe well beyond their posted limits. The difference is in the car and the driver in that car... that is why I disagree with the comment on yellows... yes they are a pain when a decent car gets them for big wheels or loud exhaust, but just think that if your friend/family got cleaned up by a car that wasn't speeding but is clearly not fit to be on the road. Fine people 10 times as much as the new amounts, it shouldn't bother people doing the right thing... if you do the wrong thing you should get busted. But the Govt. should do it fairly and not bust the obvious fraction over the limit... be reasonable and give us 5-7km/h leaverage. just my 10c

suzuki mightyboy FTW 3 cyl 800cc - great fuel economy surprisingly has quite a bit of room behind the two seats its a ute so you have room to stash stuff in the tray/fill up with ice and beer I speak from experience... just add some cool stickers, a 5" monster tacho with shift light, and 2x 15" subs!!! I did... it made the girls weak at the knees and kept me and the boys in hysterics! Best thing is it's near impossible to get a speeding ticket as the fasted I could get the thing was 108km/h downhill with a strong breeze behind me!

thats actually similar to how it all started... i walked outa the toilet door on Friday and he had taped a cup to the inside of the door frmae and when the door opened the cup tipped. lucky my ninja zen warned me and I manage to dodge the water. this led me to try and leave black ink marks on his nose from painting the bridge of his glasses... it must have worked and thats why I coped the red ink on the phone today. keep em' cumin guys...good for a laugh just thinking about doing this stuff to him... bastard!!!

He rides a moped and I drive a GTR... I don't want to start messing with property... its just for laughs not for financial loss. Try it on your work mates first... it will make it easy to spot you at a cruse (the guy with the black eye and missing teeth!)

Hey guys n' gals... Just started a prank war with a work buddy last Friday and since I came in today at lunch he had all morning to mess with computer and put red ink all over my phone... yes I now have red ears and hands!!! Without too much thought I would say that the "performance cars" means dont turn up if you just stole the keys to your mum's accent... even if you put a milo tin on the exhaust tip and sparyed the hub caps chrome. ... and before you ask... yes your GTR qualifies as a "performance car"
