  1. Yeh but I already have someone who has been waiting a while to take them... maybe I should run an auction!!! The price atm is $195 for the pair (which I think is a bargin as most lights are around that price each not a pair)... they will be gone by Thursday if noone else wants them? Sorry I know this isn't the 4sale section, but had no intention to try and sell these lights through this thread... just PM me if your interested.
  2. Managed to find some time today to get the instrument cluster out so I could look for fog light wiring... and what do you know... there is a standard plug and wiring loom already there taped to the rear demister loom! simply pluged the loom into the existing fog light switch, checked the fuse was ok and flicked the switch... let there be light. The fog lights run off the battery and not accessories like the normal headlights. The odd thing is though... the park lights also turn on with the fog lights? I didn't notice the rear lights on but I will check it out and post some pics of the now finished job. Hope this thread helps anyone thinking about changing lights or hooking up fog lights? I would suppose you could use the factory switch and plugs near the bumper to add aftermarket lights (like the very common PIAA spotties on a heap of imports)...save you a bit of time with wiring?
  3. Well the other headlight arrived and so today after lunch I hit the tools. The swap over took about 1hr-1.5hrs and was a very easy task... 1)remove centre grille (5 clips) 2)remove outside indicators (1 screw) 3)remove headlights and associated wiring (4bolts + couple of plugs) 4)install new headlights 5)replace outside insicators 6)replace centre grille The passenger side bottom bolt was a tricky one to get to so I just removed part of the intercooler piping for better access. The pod filters have to be removed first for any room to move and the same on the drivers side... the battery was given the boot while getting down and dirty. The bottom bolt on the drivers side was also a little crammed as some pipes (I think air con) were in the way. Socket with a swivel section just to loosen it and then it was easy to undo by hand. I am still yet to finish the wiring as there are plugs for the fog lights but the switch on the dash has no plug connecting it??? I will check this out tomorrow or one of the next couple of weekends so I can get these working... I'll update this thread then. Personally I think the car looks much tougher with these lights as it suits the rest of the N1 body kit (bonnet lip, side skirts and boot lid lip)... just need to get the special "no rear windscreen wiper" rear window for the authentic look!!!
  4. sounds like a winner! I have seen another 32R for sale that had these light and only the single light (closest to the grille) was on, and a pic I took of a R32 Vspec N1 on GT4 has the headlight as the larger light... F*$k I sound like a geek taking that much antention to the GT4 car! The freight company has said the package will arrive tomorrow so this weekend I should be on the tools getting them in and wired correctly... I'll post some pics Thanks for the help guys
  5. well there is the factory fog light switch on the dash just above the headlight switch so maybe the wiring is already there *crosses fingers* is that what the 2nd filament is for on the high beam? you say you used to have them...can I ask why you changed them? and how did you get them to fit on a gtst when they are for a gtr?
  6. just to make things any easier, here are some pics of the lights the low beam globe is a 2 prong (H10 I think???) and the high beam globe is a 3 prong dual filament H4
  7. ok, so I am days away from getting the drivers side (already have the pass side) N1 light and will be jamming them in asap... but I have heard the wiring is different? Has ne1 here had experience with these headlights and the wiring? Beta still, has ne1 got a set ... mmm that sounded bad?
  8. consistant 400-410 from about 65L... but need to get my pFC so I can lean it out and hopefully get a few more km's and she might stop trying to spray her ass black too! 0.9bar boost and id say a medium 2 hard drive + dredded peekhour freeways. What are the other GTR owners gettin?
  9. I have met the guy from Autopassion in Christchurch... there is a small office inside his showroom called Radar Direct who is a customer of mine... He mite feel more generous if you tell him Scott from Neltronics put you onto him... tell him I'm Ashok's supplyer and we met about a month ago... talking about powerFC's n stuff. Good luck
  10. It's gotta be easy saving 15k though with cashed up parents... bets on he'd be on a fair amount of pocket money! JJ...but seriously a GTR is a lot of car for most people, I am glad I kept under 2litres until now (27y/o), I would probably have met my angel wings early had I owned one 4-5 years ago... go the Swift GTI & the ledgendary Suzuki Mightyboy!!!! Heres a free tip though... I was put onto a insurace company that I am now going to use for my 32GTR... TORQUE Insurance is through a financial company called LUMLEY... ph (08) 9220 8212 The guy I was dealing with was easy to talk to and it was much cheaper than Just Car. His name is Steve Walter, but he is sunning it on the sunshine coast atm, so you can ring and ask to speak to Loraine. BE BRUTALLY HONEST... it is the only way to do insurance. You pay all this $$$ for peace of mind each year and if you have left something out and you try to make a claim...you can wind up with nufin but the lies you spun when you made your application... not worth it mate, do it right or dont do it at all. In the end no matter what any of us think/say you are gunna do what you want so if you get it, keep it on the road (in the right direction) and through a wave if you pass any peps on here!
  11. It is a great way to save big $$$ if you can rego it intersate and then jst transfer it here, but you can only transfer a QLD car into your name if you have a QLD licence, proof of age card or a residence (prove it with a land rates/water rates bill, etc) so for most of us WA boys (& the ladies ) this method isn't going to work for us... get the guy to sign a 2nd copy of the ownership receipt... most people won't care what value they put on it so long as you pay them the price you both agreed to for the car. This should save you close to what you would save if you had any of the above QLD I.D.
  12. Hey snatCh, I did exactly the same thing with my 32 GTR... they are a lot cheaper in QLD and if you have a reliable mecahnic to check it out first and someone to be a third party with the funds, you are set! I used a friends mates workshop who is a RAWS and they did a full inspection and compression test with a written report...paid with m/card over the phone and all sweet. Contact C.A.R.S. of Rocklea in QLD I used Autotrans to transport her over... $1149.00 including insurance and a free car wash before pickup! Just have to be patient with these guys as you are dealing with seperate offices in QLD, SA and WA, and they aren't the best at comunicating with each other! Took 11 working days for mine to arrive. Don't worry about the rego thing as you will have to take her ova the pits anyway and so registered/unregistered it makes no difference... just organise a temporary movement permit with the WA transport dept ($15.15 for 48 hours) when it arrives and you caan drive it to the pits, home or to a listed place of repair. Pits cost $56.50 and if you have to go over a second time like I did, another $35.00. Plates I think were $19.50 for standard. You will need to provide a proof of ownership... I dodged ine to reduce the stampduty fee's (sssshhhhh) so if you can get 2 copies of the ownership receipt, one with the actual cost on it and another with a lower amount to show the pits. Doing this saved me heaps as I looked at another car at a yard with higher km's, in not as good condition and they obviously wouldn't do the dodgy (I mean helpful) 2nd copy of the ownership receipt... I fugure doing this, although took a little longer, it saved me $5000++... BUT... I would only recommend doing it if your are 200% satisfied with all reports and can wait for your car... DON'T DO IT if you are unhappy with ANYTHING and if you are the kind of person who can't wait, this may not be the ideal way for you to get your 33. Best of luck mate
  13. SAVE YOUR LICENCE AND MONEY!!! Beltronics are the industry leaders in radar detectors and are proven in tests like the annual speed measurement labs shootout in Texas (http://www.speedzones.com/). I have all the following Beltronics units available: BEL XR - Australian version of the USA's sti driver, undetectable to all police radar-detector-detectors, the latest unit from Beltronics RRP $1099.00 Sale $790.00 Save $309.00 3 units available RX65 - International model, great range and features galore RRP $899.00 Sale $650.00 Save $249.00 2 units available XR950 - Australian model, a few less features than the RX65 but just as good on range RRP $849.00 Sale $610.00 Save $239.00 2 units available XR650 - Australian model, basic features but great value for money, very good range for the price RRP $699.00 Sale $520.00 Save$179.00 1 unit available RX75 - The fitted model for a descrete look, the best range for radar and laser RRP $1499.00 Sale $1150.00 Save $349.00 1 unit available WA is the only state that these are legal to use, but with the undetectable BEL XR, you have nothing to worry about! This is the only unit I would use in any eastern states, it has been tested against the Stalcar II & the dreaded Stalcar III and remained undetected. I must admit there may be cheaper RX65's on the net but they have no Australian warranty. All units here are covered by a full 1 year warranty, and the RX65 and XR950 have 2 year warranty's! These things pay for themselves!!! Don't wait until you have paid enough fines to cover the cost of one!!! Anyone outside of WA, I will set up the unit for you to suit the radars your cops are using (except RX75 as this requires setup after installation, instructions will be provided) Why just have car insurance when you can have licence insurance too!?!
  14. just took my car over the pits for it wa rego and it was failed cos of the tein c/overs... "apparently" any c/overs with a bottom adjustable tube (2 lock nuts at the top and another at the base of the tube, see pic) are illegal. I asked why and the reason... "well mate there isnt a 2nd nut to lock the bottom like there is at the top... vibrations can cause this to come loose and if your strut winds out and goes bang then who knows what might happen" what BS!!!!! fit them properly and you shouldn't have any issues, but be prepaired to swap them out if you get stickered. I even asked if adding a second nut will pass them but "NUP"! handy hint... NEVER GO TO WARWICK PITS!!!!
  15. I agree mitchy, I can remember seeing a test done on TV and the only thing the octane boost did was boost the cash outer your wallet. gun-r32, I would jsut stick to the good ol' BP 98... in a years time think of the $$$ you will have saved on the octane boost and you can buy me a pressy for the tip!
  16. I couldn't agree more with Andrew... and Amanda Lombardi is a babe

  20. Looking at it for the 1st time, it looks like all it does is restrict the exhaust flow and (in theory) make it quieter??? Why restrict the flow??? more flow=more pwr. Being something from Apexi it's probably got a decent pricetag attached and theres probably quite a bit of effort involved in installing it, plus then the on going manual opening and closing the restrictor. Why dont you just try spraying the under body with sound deadener, and adding some more effective sound deadining material inplace of the original stuff under the moulded carpet (dynamat)? Probably cheaper, easier and just as effective but you retain the POWER!!! My last car was really droany in 5th at 80km (the speed and gear i was using most often... jst my luck!) I sound deadened the wheel well and rear 1/4 pannels... made all the difference i needed without sacrificing any power! thats my 2cents and then sum!!!
  21. point taken guys... Ken, I'll come and see you when I can bleed some money from the wife! What pwr do you think a tuned FC will add on to my R32GTR? It has: Nismo intercooler cat back exhaust apexi filters and pipe adaptors apart from that shes standard.
  22. Ken, hows my head taste!?! next time you try to bite it off I suggest you chew first!!! sorry mate didn't mean to offend or say your prices were too high, ive always believed in payin for experience and a good job... for the record everyone, I thought it was a D Jetro, but it was a std FC...my mistake... all hail Ken I think a thread on pwr FC would be a great idea... such a cool peice of gear maybe Ken can arrange a group buy with a group discount on install and tune as well??? haha... bites my head off and then gets a free plug for his troubles
  23. go both!!! 2 gold for the passenger side and 2 grey for the drivers side. Practise doing that stuntman "driving on two wheels trick" and then you can choose racey/bling depending on your mood. now you can please everybody and yourself!
  24. aren't Hyperdrive one of SAUWA sponsors? What sort of discounts do they give? I was looking at their FC D Jetro pack installed and tunned for the GTR...mmm... I know you can't put a price on experience and a good job, but when you can buy a D Jetro on eBay for $1000 and then plug in the module yourself = $1200 just to tune...mmm... still pricey. Maybe the member discount would make it hurt the hip ocket less? Anyone know?
  25. Hey gucio, Just bought the N1 headlights (see http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?Vi...A%3AIT&rd=1 ) but hurt the old hip pocket a bit... $249 each!!! lucky I can send them for free using work's freight company! My car should be on the truck hopefully by the end of the week and that means about 9 days later I will have the projector headlights ready for you. Obviously you only want the drivers side, but I don't need a spare passenger side light, so you can have that as a spare when you buy the drivers side! PM me to let me know your still keen.
