  1. I used ali sheet ( about 1 mm I think) and lined it with a sound proofing product that plumbers use to wrap soil pipes in multi level appt. situations. It is a thin foam backed with a silver foil and lead laminate. You should be able to pick it up from a plumbers supply outfit. Hope this helps Cheers Harry:cool:
  2. second pic with lid off Cheers Harry:cool:
  3. Ive been following this thread with some interest cos I spent a bit of time building and perfecting a cold air box with pod inside. I'm reading lots of posts here where people are going back to there standard box with a better brand of panel filter installed and all seem to feel that the result is superior to the pod set up it relaced. Now this may be the case, but if you want to compare apples with apples then you should take the time and effort to set your pod up properly in a fully enclosed and insulated box with a good cold air supply.Only then will you get results worth comparing, and believe me, you will never use panel filters again. I have enclosed pics of my set up to give those of you who are keen a bit of an idea. You will see that cold air can enter the box thru the original snorkel, under the leading edge of the lid, and thru behind the headlight where the rubber has been removed. Pod is blitz. Results are worth every bit of the effort. Cheers Harry:cool:
  4. A panel filter is a flat filter element that fits inside your standard air filter box. cheers Harry:cool:

  7. Vovan, ta for your reply, I know the sensor is a hotwire type 4, wot I want to know is do I enter that no. on the in and out of the sensor type menu. cheers harry:cool:
  8. Hi all, a quick question here re set up on an safc blue screen model, not the latest. When setting up the sensor type, after entering hotwire, do I enter 4 (my sensor type no, r33 gtst,) in both the IN and OUT fields, as I found the instructions a little hard to follw at this point. Any clarification here would be appreciated. Cheers Harry
  9. No template as such Jimbo, it was pretty much design and build. The partition and lid were made from 1.2mm ali and the snorkell extension was .4 or .6 ali, plus a bit of 12 x 12 mm angle at the partition to lid joint and some single sided sticky foam to fill the gaps. B T W slide the return fuel cannister thingy of its bracket, get rid of the bracket and re-mount the canister to the partition,( I used a cable tie) this gives you a bit more room to play with. p.s. If you make up a pattern of the partition out of cardboard, it will save you a lot of wasted ali. Cheers Harry:cool:
  10. Same box with lid off Cheers Harry:cool:
