  2. well thanks anyways guys, i had a buddy in japan actually pic me one up from a wrecked ER34. and at the same time i found the actual part number converted to a US nissan part number and i can get me one here in the state for around 100.00 bucks.
  3. thanks for teh quick response, i honestly dont know what the R33 version looks like...would you happen to have a picture of it ? i have seen the VCT solenoid in my car , i have removed and have seen the entire peice without it installed in the engine. if i could see a complete picture of the VCT solenoid without it in the head it would give me a good idea if it will in fact work. not that i dont trust you at all but i have heard thru numerous people that they are in fact different. i just would like to be sure is all.
  4. hey guys, been a looong time since ive posted up on here mainly cause i dont live over in Australia. Well ive got an RB25DET NEO in my S chassis "240sx" here in the US, and i am in need of a replacement VCT (variable cam timing) solenoid. right now its leaking oil thru the connector and causing the car to run like crap..These engines were never sold over here so you can imagine trying to source one of these parts is not exactly easy. I would very much appreciate if anyone on here could help me out. i wouldnt even mind getting brand new one from the dealer. If one of you guys could check into that ii would be very greatful. i know im not a very big participant on this forum and for that im sorry, but I am a fellow RB owner and I am in need of some help. thanks in advance everyone Mark
  5. well as it turns out i wanted to try to add a litle length to the intake like you auggested and to my amazement that did the trick. you sir are one baddass mofo and i thank you so very much for that tasty bit of knowledge. i only hope i dont have to get the car retuned because of it. i did notice a signifigant difference in my wideband readings which are now richer...
  6. please pardon my ignorance, but i have been dealing with an issue with my car and came here for a possible solution to my problem. ok the car is a 95 S14 with an RB25DET NEO out of an R34. the following mods have been performed. greddy plenum, Q45 90mm T/B, 650cc injectors, T67 turbo,greddy 50mm racegate, turbular manifold..the unit has been tuned and car runs fine until i let my foot off the gas. even while cruising and not in boost, if i let off the gas she will stall. i can catch it with my foot by hitting the gas pedal but if i dont modulate the gas it will still try to stall out on me. is there a correction for this that i am not aware of. i know there is a datalogit software i can get which my car was tuned with here in the states but the tuner had little luck with solving this concern.perhaps its not something he is ccomfortable doing, i dunno. but he had no problem with taking my money to tune my car for a wide open tune which works great....would the datalogit software have the ability to tune the decell which could be my issue. thanks in advance Mark note: if i posted this in a improper location my sincerest apologies

  8. is it possible to tune a RB25 NEO using dataloggit software setup on a NEO version of teh power FC...sorry if this has been sovered but i did search..hehe my car is ready to be tuned here in the USA .ive got a R34 NEO engine but its in an S chassis with some goodies bolted onto it, bigger turbo , injectors, manifolds ext. gate 50mm, twin disc, etc. thanks in advance... by the way im lookin for 550whp in this setup... injectors are 650cc and the turbo is a 60-1, i hope this is possible...lemme know..   9. hello i have a 95 nissan 240sx S14 the US version of the S14 silvia and i have recently installed a R34 NEO engine in it and i am running it witha power FC . i have since got it up and running and i am now in the tuning stages but i have unfortuantely stumled across another hurdle. in the snesor check function i have a highlighted sensor which i believe is for the traction control system. its labeld as THRM and its reading 5.11 volts...i nologer am running the factory intake plenum nor the factory throttel body i have installed a greddy plenum and a Q45 throttle body...if this is for the traction control system is there a way i can fool the Power FC to make the sensor light go away so i can finish tuning it and get it running the way i like it...please help me out guys...i am keeping my fingers crosses on this one... thanks in advance Mark

  11. hey guys id like to get a little help in the setup on my NEO swap using my power FC..here are a list of mods i have done during my install: Apexi Power FC with commander (engine never came with factory ECM) GT35 turbo turbo manifold Greddy intake plenum (IAC delete plate) Q45 90mm Throttle body Greddy FMIC Z32 MAF RC engineering 650cc top feed injectors Exeddy twin disc clutch one peice driveshaft Electric fans 12 inch duals now for the help i am in need of, i would like to setup my Apexi Power FC for the mods i have done. basicly i would like to get a iniial injector map so i can start the car without the huge cloud of black smoke coming out..lol...yeah its running extremely rich and i need to tone it down so if someone on here can lend me a hand id appreciate it greatly...and if you guys wanna see a few pics, please allow me to share my project with you guys:
  12. that car has been recently modified even further..the engine ahs been removed and completely built but non other than "Al Papitto". Im sure most of you guys prob never heard of him but he is the current record holder for modular engine 1/4 mile time in the mustang here in the US. best time was 9.37 at 155mph. no nitrous, no boost no nothing..just motor and its perfectly street legal. Al Papitto happens to be a friend of mine and a big authority on OHC head design . some of the work i have seen this guy do is really something..the GTTT now is running twin GT45R's...its now at SEMA in Vegas,once done there it on to the dyno to set some even crazier numbers..

  14. ok i have the opportunity of getting my hands on a hks twin disc for a very good price...one question, is this clutch a good clutch (i know HKS makes good stuff) but i just wanted to know if their clutches are worth getting ahold of..second i wanted to know it it will fit my engine..its a NEO RB25 out of an R34 (pull style). the clutch that i want is used and it came out of an R34 GTR...they are both pull style but i was wanting to know if i can still use this clutch on my engine even though my engine isnt an RB26 but a RB25.. thanks Mark
  15. well i am shooting for close to 600whp..i have installed a 60-1 turbo from garrett and a set of 650cc injectors from RC engineering. running the engine with a Apexi Fower FC w/ commander
  16. trying to find a clutch set-up here in the states (AGAIN) is proving to be somewhat difficult. i know that OS giken makes one (but it converts to a push stlye set-up and Exedy makes a twin disc set-up that i can still retain the pull style (which i have been told is a better option)...can i get everyones thoughts on this. if anyone knows of other companies out there that i might be able to pursue a clutch set-up for my R34 Neo engine please lemme know.... thanks Mark

  18. oh wow...that is incredible...thank you so much..i do have one more question...the stock turbo had about of qt of oil in it..lol yeah a qt, and im yanking that one off and i have a garrett 60-1 that came off my built SR i had before i went to this engine...with upgrading the injectors and using a power FC you think i will be ok on the stock head gasket for a little bit. i dont mind changing it but i have to say i am running out of money fast going to this style of engine..lol...but i must say i am still happy with my decision due to the fact these engines are very rare over here..
  19. i am having to remove my intake plenum so i can get at my injectors for upgrading them. my question is can i reuse the original gasket or would it be better to replace it..the reason i am asking is i am located in the US and these engines are far and i mean far from common and i have no sources here to acqurie new one if needed, also i am in need of a new oil dipstick due to the original one being broken in transit. also if anyone has any ideas as to upgrading injectors feel free to chime in please..so far i have only seen one (SARD) has a full set..wow they are high though please help
