  1. Ive passed twice before with the boost controller on the steering column maybe i got lucky?
  2. Congrats on the buy! According to redbook its 1420 so its 40kg heavier then a 33
  3. Im pretty sure coilovers, pod and exhaust wont affect insurance almost all skylines have pod and exhaust and if they didnt cause the accident insurance has no excuse to not pay out It would be pretty hard for insurance to prove a pod or exhaust casued the accident (why not call your insurnace up and asK?) Yes permits would serve a better piece of mind but its not like an engine conversion or a huge f**k off T88 turbo
  4. Keep us updated with the testing Im interested in them but to scared to trial lol Good luck with it
  5. Thanks for the info Bubba judging by the amount of people using spool rods 500 would be a walk in the park JPC make a 4340 billet gear for n1 pumps @ $350 might be a cheaper/faster option compared to the spline gears as we dont know how long it would take to make/test/etc
  6. Im sure as long as u mention all your mods to insurance its all valid
  7. both fails get a GTR never look back
  8. by the time you prep the stock rods and get arp bolts it already half way to a set of eagles might be worth the extra 300-400
  9. Hi Niran! a long motor without anything attached is 1400 from KYP? from what welshpool pits told me you can legally have 20% increase in capacity and dont have to go through engineering so pits at $83.50 + some of your time if your gonna get KYP to install it you might as well buy the motor/gearbox from them might wanna factor in for a new clutch while your at it also there engines come with warranty not sure about the tailshaft part sorry
  10. Sell the gtst and buy a modded 32 GTR if you hate the old look, get a stock 33 GTR
  11. I've been meaning to ask you this bubba since your a DIYer and all Which machine shop do you use? and do you double check there work/clearances? Thanks I agree with most beside the Head PnP (sub 500hp not required) Add a gasket rebuild kit and water pump
  12. Could you ask the police to put it in writing and sign on it as a legal statement? or they'd tell u to f*k off?
  13. I was on Nissansilvia forums earlier and came across the powertune gears (again) http://hardtuned.net/forums/index.php?app=...ttach_id=177301 made out of P20 hows it compare to JPCs 4340 gears? pretty cheap at $350
  14. Kid you have some sh*t luck maybe park in undercovered parking lots from now on like CP
  15. Hyperdrive and All Star Garage supply fit and tune them for around $900
  16. Cometic seems to be gaining popularity otherwise stock one is pretty good too until ur making big hp once 400-450+ prolly a tomei, hks brand would cost around 400ish
  17. Just had a look at the stockies .42 front and .48 rear does this mean it wont flow as much as a -5s (.64 a/r) after hi-flowing?
  18. greddy prof B like others have said is prolly the best on the cheaper end of EBCs stay away from likes of AVCR spikes more then a rapist
  19. rb25 neo hi flow turbo is prolly best bet then?
  20. Not really bang for buck assuming you pickup a light modded one at 11k with fmic exhaust etc 3k half cut 2k labour 1k tune thats 17k there (can save some if you do work urself) and you can pickup stockish GTRs these days for 17kish all a GTR needs some boost/tune and its making 300hp downside is cheap GTRs never live very long
  21. Get a ecu and tune after your mods lots of power gains for the money for those on a budget Nistune is good
  22. on the other hand with a rb25 it only cost 1.5k manual r33 box 1.5k + labour will work out alot cheaper then what mongas suggested but by then you might as well buy a R33 GTST ends up being cheaper, newer and less of an eye sore *flame suit on* Let the R32 vs R33 debate go again.....
  23. Wouldnt bother importing as your really just basing the condition of the car off the auction papers/your broker Buying locally would cost the same these days as the dollar is down compared to the yen You can get vehicle inspections, compression/leakdown test etc when you buy locally too
  24. +OVER 9000 votes or as monga says buy one thats been built/replaced all the expensive parts as they are costly to maintain an old example though it would most likely cost you mid 20s for one thats built
