I've had my car passed when clearing a defect, with cable ties galore, they commented on it, but didn't fail me for it, sometimes I think it depends on how they feel

I had the exact same thing happen to me when I got defected. I actually asked are you serious? And they asked me if I was arguing the point lol. I ended up getting an R32 english translation booklet and the relevant stickers from an import shop. Not a big deal to get, just really annoying.

You never know, some people have horrible experiences at dickson, some don't I took my 32 over dickson to get rego from nsw to act. They passed it, after I put a rego muffler on. I was defected years later for too loud an exhaust, took it over dickson again, they found that my coilovers were leaking, but didn't say boo about the engine, mind you it's an r32 rb25de thats been turboed. So it's really luck of the draw I think. You might be okay, or they may decide to pick over every little thing.

Anyone able to recommend a good detailer in canberra to detail a new car? Or recommend (pm) where not to go. Getting a new car, and would like to make sure the paint is in good nick.

Mine might be a special case, not sure, but my R32 has an r32 spec rb25 in it. No engineers certificate needed. Although they did ask me if I had one when I took it over the pits.

Good to have the car out for a day, and put some more names to faces/

Happy to meet up somewhere to see the show, but I don't particularly want my car trapped until 3pm, depending on how strict and they are about it and also the drip tray thing.

If I can get rego put on the car, I'll see if I can get to this.

fixed up my boost guage and oil temp guage on the weekend (was loose) also fixed the drivers side speaker. Boring stuff but was annoying me.

pics look good. Most likely aren't coming, as we ended up buying a puppy today, which involved getting up at 5am and driving to sydney and back, totally bushed, and trying to settle the puppy in. Sounds like it will be a good turn out though.

I could potentially make it, just have had no time at all to tidy up the car. Worked today and will tomorrow, and busy saturday. Will confirm on saturday.

Have a recommendation as to what I should use?

The roof has what appears to be calcification on it. Perhaps I'll try and see if I can cut and polish it myself, although I havent done it before.

I'd be interested however the paint on the roof is in a pretty bad condition. Starting to fade.
