  1. Turbo XS Knocklite Cleaning out the Garage and found this, never installed. $100 pick up SE Melb. More parts to come. Detonation or "knocking" can destroy an engine in no time flat leaving you with a repair bill that can cost you thousands of dollars. So how do you KNOW that you are knocking BEFORE it's too late? The TurboXS KnockLite will detect even minor, inaudible detonation and flash the multicolored LED to alert you to the knock so that you can do something about it before it's too late. The KnockLite is a must-have product for anyone that is modifying their engine for more power. The KnockLite wires into either your factory knock sensor or into separate knock sensor (sold separately) that is mounted to your engine block. As an added bonus, the KnockLite also comes with a programmable shift indicator.

Hey guys, other night i had a problem where my r33 gtst was just turning off when i would idle at the traffic lights, but start fine as soon as i cranked it over (so cant be the alternator or battery), but this happens very rarely sometimes i just leave it idle for 30+ min and come back and its off, seems to only happen when wamred up. My mechanics couldnt diagnose what would cause this. Checked AFM/AFM wiring, ECU errors came up with nothing, ECU all plugs are fine, battery charging normally. The second part and is probably related, when driving you would lose all throttle response yet maintain the revs, you can still open throttle (see boost go back to 0 psi), no error lights go on you just coast along. I found you can jump start it when it does this by shifting to a lower gear, otherwise when you come to a stop it just conks out then sometimes doesnt start for a minute or 2, THEN i can drive the rest of the way home fine... Before i go buying a whole bunch of parts to work out what it is thought id check if anyone else had these problems, ideas are fuel pump or CAS or fuel delivery or ignitor Please help Cheers Josh Cliffs: Car dies when idling Lose throttle response once or twice when driving Hard to repeat these problems for a mechanic to see what im talking about

Hi guys I have my stock rb25 turbo for sale with minimal shaft play (guess about 1mm) selling due to an upgrade $250 and a set of 16inch 6 spoke rims offset is +42 from memory, theres only 1 roadworthy tire, 1 ok one and other 2 are unroadworthy. Hey guys, had a fair bit of misfiring that quickly changed into a warble (like a wrx) with loss of power and alot of vibrations, assumed it was an ignition problem and changed my sparks to NGK BCPR6ES–8 (even though the iridiums were only 9 months old) and it has now gotten worse, wouldnt start/very rough starting. So i disconnected each coil pack when i finally got it running and found the first 3 cylinders from the firewall werent running and could see sparking in the 3rd coilpack in the gap between the coilpack and the thicker rubber ring on the outside(sure that isnt good). So I swapped a running coilpack with a coilpack from a cylinder that wasn't working and my coilpacks are fine, its the something else to do with the 3 cylinders. So reading prev posts Im going to check my injectors, otherwise Im out of ideas, thanks for any help in advance. Josh

  15. Hey guys, Someone busted my lock for the glovebox using the wrong key, so ive taken it all out and taken out the 3 screws at the locking mechanism. I know how to fix it just it wont open no matter how much i pull. Appears to be some glue at the bottom at the hinge area joining the faceplate area to the main plastic part, is that stopping me? thanks Josh
  16. Im just changing my seals for my cams (dont need them by their looks, but will since i bought them) anyways my intake (VCT) cam im not sure if i pull it apart if its springloaded (heard of some cars. BMWs?) any tips? this is my first time. Thanks Josh
  17. yeah, i was more after measurements, or any old piece of tubing that will vaguely fit on my master and slave, wouldnt want to see the effects of it popping off whilst i drive. Thanks Josh
  18. Hi, my clutch line is leaking, thinking of getting a braided but cant wait til end of august for GB and aint got the $$$ at mean time. So for the stock line, does anyone have the end size/thickness. i rather do a straight swap than have my car off the road as i will do it at night time (plus im slow and lazy). Was just going to do a repco or bunning job to replace it. any advice? Cheers in advance Josh

  20. hey guys, 2 of my wheel bolts (bits that hold the wheel on) need to be replaced (getting a bit worn/rethreaded), ive gotten parts from nissan and got given N1-43222-70T00 (front) N1-43222-50J00 (rear) im not sure if they are right, the guy didnt sound confident, dont want to have the car all jacked up and realise i have the wrong bolts. thanks guys Josh

  23. im doing a major service on my car for the first time, is it worth getting all main parts from nissan (eg. timing belt, other belts etc.) considering its a mildly modified R33, are the parts durable. or else just go to repco, bursons etc for my parts or get performance orientated parts (ive seen hks timing belts etc) with quality, lifetime also cost as main obvious factors. thanks in advance.
  24. ive had a r33 gtst for a while now, no probs with the police yet, and rego was easy everything to do with my car is under my name. i just behave myself ... most of the time. ive driven past a few stationary cops with radar guns, and a boose bus but no probs at all, got a big GTR wing hanging of back as well. thought i be cop magnet, but behave urself and ur ok, but i know first time they catch me and if they know wat a turbo is im f%^ked.
