  1. You have a a couple of PMs
  2. Oh no!! If that is your version of superior handling please don't get in the way of my jacked up 2.5 tonne Patrol. It would be sad to see you driven over. At least you are obeying the speed laws.
  3. Ben Follow up on the PM. Keen. Cheers
  4. Terry I know the really loud one well - mine is hanging up in the shed with the big custom dumps/front pipes and big cat. My window tint wasn't dark enough. Fitted a Nismo NE1, quieter but lost a bit of sting Glen's version would sound great and not be to OTT. Back to business as we're whoring glen's thread - great buy - do it someone.
  5. These exhausts may a great sound and I would suggest what you have would be well tolerable for the street. Just tip the really loud version is the Hyper 2000 Full Maga N1. It only has a small resonator (hot dog) mid way down the exhaust and with big dumps and front pipes is something to behold - shrinking violets need not apply. Attached a pic for reference. GL with the sale - Great price - someone will pick up a great system. Kak.pdf
  6. Bobby I have only just come across this thread and gone from beginning to end in a session. All I can say is this is truely an amazing endeavour, something I can only aspire to. Can't wait to see the final output. Thankyou for sharing so openly. Regards and respect.
  7. Dave - suggest you slow down and read what was written - "worth noting" not "worth NOTHING". They guy was helping you out. Big humble pie appology as a suggestion.
  8. Details??? What Nismo clutch and what flywheel? Cheers
  9. Jimmy From what year/series?
  10. Phil All arrived as expected. Thanks for organising the GB (Mk111) Cheers
  11. Dan Why do you need the exact profile? Surely as long as it is a 9JJ +30 rim and the wheel/tyre combo meet the overall size up calculation you should be fine. Or are you compliancing?
  12. Phil Can you please put me down for 1 x sump, 2 x diff, 1 x gbox, 1 x black hole. Cheers
  13. Instead of using water to trace the "hiss" trying using aerostart or similar. If you have a vac leak (thinking gaskets?) your revs will rise at idle if you hit the spot with the spray. ie more fuel. Gasket leak will also bleed boost at higher rpm. Might be worth a try. Cheers
  14. In my experience they don't treat you any worse - but that depends on how silly you were being and what your attitude is like. I copped my first speeding fine in years a few weeks back and had a great chat with the female constable, she even wanted to hear the detector go off on laser so she did a point and listen on the side of the road. She also took great joy in telling me they were going to try and ban them yet again and given the recent press coverage the nanna state pollies will probably do it.
  15. Guys Does anyone know what mods are required to put an exhaust designed for a R34 GTR into a R33 GTR? I am tired of clearance and noise issues on my R33 GTR and am looking at a nismo NE1 which should in theory should provide better clearance and be acceptable noise wise without stealing too much power. Problem is I can only seem to source units for a R34 GTR. All help appreciated. Cheers
  16. Terry's got it pretty right there but for $84 wtf let it go. It would seem a lot of the states are now starting to clamp down on the use of "fog" lights as there are now so many cars coming out with them as standard fitmant and so many people who have no idea what they are for and how they are supposed to be used. Creating nuisance with incorrectly adjusted or improperly used lights on a vehicle is an offence in most/all states, just rarely enforced. Front facing fog ligts have become a fashion accessory and the w..ker brigade have them switched on as soon as the sun looks like going down adding to the glare (danger/distraction) for oncoming traffic. Ditto for the rear fog high visibility light - most have no idea it is even on but it is dangerous and distracting for following traffic in normal conditions (in heavy fog its a great safety aid). A true forward facing fog light is set low to shoot a flat beam of light into the clean area just above the ground when there is fog/mist so you can see the road ahead (much further than 2 to 3m as someone suggested) when there is no fog they are useless as a driving light and just add glare for oncoming traffic. Most should be wired to only come on with parking lights and/or headlights (argument is parking lights is the best option). I have used fog lights extensively they are great for what they are designed for - they are not a driving/spot light for clear conditions and if you need them there are a lot of great driving light arrangements out there (my Ralleye 4000 HIDs for example) but they need to be used correctly to avoid blinding oncoming traffic, melting tarmac and BBQing kangaroos. Sorry someone on the forum got pinged for incorrect use of the lights but a big yaaaay to the fact there is something being done about the dangerous (and inconsiderate) habit.
  17. Gaz Interesting as I just reinsured it and they rang to remind me. Even discussed the possibility of a 400R - that one they were not so sure of (over $100k). Very specific about the car and it has been with them for 3 years or so. Now you are making me worry.
  18. Geez worth shopping around - 33 GTR $35k agreed value, full comprehensive, $200 (?) excess, $715 pa with HBF of all people.
  19. Last lot I got was from Repco. Suggest ring and ask as they do not always hold in stock. Cheers
  20. I believe it is not illegal to use/posess a laser jammer in WA. The legality of them has not yet been tested in court and they fall between the gaps of the telecoms act. (Radar jammers are a very different issue and are treated specifically under the telcoms act as an illegal transmitter). Most laser jammers will only operate for a few seconds to allow you to slow down then switch off (or so I am told)
  21. Gary Welcome back. Let the joust begin.
  22. Paul Man your idea of not loud must be way different to mine or some how the top part of my system must do some nasty damage. I have the Full Mega N1 (single pipe not twin) and without the additional baffle pipe in the cannon (inner silencer) it is a cop magnet - loud and on boost I agree awesome but really loud. Top part is a custom 3" bell mouths off turbs to 3.5" collector to 4" metalcat to N1. Cheers
