If the following is correct, does this mean that a standard R32 is quicker than an R33??? 10 psi is factory for an R32 7 psi is factory for an R33

isnt a stock R33 set at 7psi by the actuator?? which is why the car may get confused if the boost is increased?? So... if there are boost probs or issues with a boost controller, couldnt you just replace the actuator?

I have a Blitz BOV on my R33 and after driving it hard and suddenly stoping (at the lights) the revs will drop quite low for a sec - but not stall and then go back to normal idol.

Hey ppls, just wondering if anyone has had bad fuel before and what happened to their car. I think I have gotten bad fuel twice from the same place within a few months, the problem is, how do i prove it?? I only use the same Mobil in my area and have all reciepts. Twice when me car was close to empty, i filled up completly then a few days later my car would stall whenever at idol and wouldn't run smooth and feel like its pulling back... the first time it happened i used the tank of fuel quickly, put octane boost in then re filled it and got a tune and service and it was all good... Some ppl are saying that the crank angle sensor may be going, hope this isnt the case. Would take it straight to my mechanic but i dont have the time at the moment cos of work... Any way, i am now half way thro the tank of fuel and it has stopped and is running fine, but its still worrying me cos i shouldnt act like that 4 on reason....

My R33 (with BOV) has started to do the same and i have all new plugs etc. it happened after putting in the boost controller... had to take it off...

Hi ppls... bought a GFB boost controller and was just wondering if they are crap or if the boost controller is confusing the computer on my car due to the extra boost. It was fine at 8psi but once i reached 9psi the rev's started going up and down eratically and stalling at idol and when driving it was pulling back...Took it off this arvo, Hope I havent wasted my money buying a this boost controller. Was told my many that it would do the same job as a turbo smart one and that they would boost spike the same amount. The only way to go was a digital one, which i didnt wanna spend the money on...

If your car is running rich, it could be the oxy sensor. Mine was chewing thro the fuel, then i had it dynoed and had the oxy sensor replaced and it run heaps better. My car is stock and has 160kw @ the wheels

Yeah wasnt too keen on getting a hybrid. Found a GReddy one which im happy with. I dont wanna make huge power so its fine 4 what i need. Its tube and fin and pretty much fits right in, Getting it from VPW in Epping cos there heaps cheaper. Had a look at just jap, there quite cheap but i dunno about the quality... ne ways thanx for your comments... All taken onboard!

Kewl thanx for the info guys...i have been told so many different things. my mechanic also mentioned if i get one under $1000 its not gonna work too well. I found a GReddy one i like, its $800 at Autobarn and at VPW its only $350 for the same one as they sell wholesale...

I currently have an r33 and was searching for an intercooler. Although this seems rather hard to do as there doesnt seem to be all that much info out there. The only place i have looked at is Autobarn and they are a rip off and ebay which seem too cheap. Can anyone give any tips before buying one, i dont wanna get ripped off and i want one which will fit right in so the bar only has to be cut in one place. I have found a GReddy one for $800 and have heard ACE also make good ones. What brands to other ppl have and are the hybrids any good... And is tube and fin better than bar and plate... sorry for all the questions, just a little confused and wanna do my research before handing over the money. Ta! Kylee... Hi guys I was looking at getting a cooler for my R33 but wasnt sure on the best flow rate. I have seen some which have a low pressure drop of 0.2 @ 15psi and some have a low pressure drop of up to 0.2 @ 22 psi... Im guessing the one at 22psi is more efficient?? Also, is it best to get tube and fin over bar and plate... My mechanic also mentioned that it wasnt worth getting a cooler which costs under $1000, just wondering whats a good price and if they have made that much difference to your cars performance...

Thanks guys for the input. The hicas still came on when i had the standard steering wheel though. I now realise after looking at the other sites that i make the extra power at the wheels from standard because i have the exhaust upgrade.

No, because i would have bought the car anyway. I was just curious... having answered these questions before I bought the car would have been irrelavant. Knowing how many kw's they come standard with and if they have LSD would not have changed my mind about buying one.. things can always be changed on it anyway!

So I bought a 94 R33 GTST and was just wondering if anyone can give me the correct specs of this make (Inc kw's). I was also curious to know whether or not they come standard with LSD, I have been told many different answers. Also, just wanted to know what the HICAS light means, I know what it stands for but it keeps comin up after i have driven the car for a while. I have been told its nothin to worry about and someone even mentioned theirs stays on the whole time cos they have a non standard computer? Anyway, my car is pretty much standard and I just had it dynoed and it has 158kw's so i was curious to know how many kw's they came out with
