  1. Yeah I'd never buy one (if I ever have that much coin lol) but I do have respect for them. More of an Aston Martin man myself Besides skylines of course.
  2. Hey GT off topic buy I just read an article in the paper about Ferrari world, this huge red indoor amusement park based on everything Ferrari! Have you had a chance to visit it?? Looks insane
  3. I wish I could mate
  4. I wondered if you would post here, thanks again for your help today Dave.
  5. Yeah and that they only come in lots of six! Might be able to get some 750's for nothing
  6. I asked the same question, they do have a solenoid in them but you can't see it from the outside. As I said above he has even seen injectors with that part missing and it hasny made a difference. If they where a top feed injector it would be a different story. Hahaha me too, I just started copying you!
  7. Didn't really let him have a crack at it, I was putting them in the rail inside (it's warmer in front of the fire) when I got a sticky bugger that wouldn't go in. So when I went outside to my shed to get the silicone spray he took it apon himself to have a go at it. I spose he was just trying to help but still pissed me off, he is in no way mechanically minded so should've just left it alone but what can you do what's done is done. Anyway I have some good news, I went for a drive down to UAS and showed the injector to Dave (T04GTR) and he has given it the all clear and said it's nothing to worry about. Apparently the little metal peice is just something that is used in the molding/plastic injection process to give the machine something to hold onto when it's put into a die. Dave also said he has seen them in MUCH worse states than mine (snapped of completely, bent & even missing altogether) and they still work fine so that's good to know. I trust his judgment as he has a very good rep and has built some wild engines so he knows whats what. Oh yeah, 1 weeks wait is nothing ATM. The car has been on blocks since November and will still be for a little while yet
  8. Yeah my bad for calling it a pintle, I do know how to install injectors btw this is my third time installing them over the years after build ups.
  9. Umm, let's just say he is no longer at my house and I don't think he will be back for a while. I hope the pintle is nothing but I wonder if it has anything to do with helping control flow or something? Like does it move up and down?
  10. Hey, So I was in the process of putting my Nismo 555 injectors back into my RB25 rail when I came across a couple that are being difficult, any way as I was out in the shed looking for my silicone spray my effing numpty of a brother in law decided to try and force it in with a pair of adjustable width pliers. He has managed to push the little cap in the centre of the injector down about 3 mm and then tried to pull it back out. Would this mean that the injector is now stuffed?? Good injector Bad injector Sorry about the picture quality I just took it with the iphone If it is stuffed can anybody tell me if you can buy them singularly and point me in a direction on where to get them. NOT HAPPY
  11. Yeh but you can always do both lol, I am and it's costing me a fortune
  12. They look good 75coupe. What's the price in AUD landed in oz? Did you get that far?
  13. The problem I have is that my AFM now sits a lot further in towards the guard than it would in it's stock position, I think a little higher too. I moved it when I built my airbox many moons ago so even with joiners the hks pipe won't reach, a PITA really but I don't won't to have to redesign an entire airbox just to fit an intake pipe. Not to mention the BOV port problem so I think the whole turbo side will have to be custom.
  14. Hey Geraus! Long time no speak mate. Yeah time to upgrade, going 2835 and plazmaman plenum. The hypergear has been good but I want more power and I couldn't pass up the pro s when I found it. Cal my bov is going on the cold side under the TB and then has a 38mm pipe running in front of the engine to plumb back into the intake. I'll post up some pics when the mrs gets off the computer. I just went and fitted up the hotside pipe and I think 4" will be pushing it any way, not much room to play with. I was running a apexi super suction kit before and the hard pipe was pretty much the same shape as the standard soft pipe and my airbox was made to suit. What I might be able to do is get a 80mm pipe made the same as the hks item but then add around 50mm of straight then a 30deg bend and it will mate up sweet with the afm then. Dunno how well it will work I'll have to make up something out of PVC to see if it fits, anyone have any other opinions??
  15. Hey peeps, Ive installed my new 2835 Pro S into my R33 RB25 along with a plazmaman plenum, I did a dummy fitment of the intake pipework last night and have found that the 3" intake pipe that comes with the Pro s kit is not going to mate up with my custom airbox or my BOV return pipe so I will have to get one fabricated with a bit of extra length and the ports for the BOV moved around a few degrees on the pipe. Because I am already going to have to go through the hassle of getting pipework made up should I just get a 4" (100mm) intake pipe made so that its the same size as the compressor housing, then just run a reducer to the AFM or just keep it at 3"?(Actually the HKS pipe is 3.15" or 80mm) Are there any downsides to running a large diameter pipe. I have searched but it didnt really cover my particular case as such. Thanks
  16. I wonder what he wouldve said if you asked to see the calibration records for the phone to be used as tape measure?
  17. Yeah seems as though I am the douche Aggrodave........touché Had a chat with Craved on Saturday on what can be done and also have got a little help from PM-R33 as well. Phil has 2 90deg bends welded together in a kind of "S" shape which may work and after talking with Chris I should be able to cut down the catch can a little and move the bungs forward and it should fit. Just when Chris thought he had finished all my coating I'm gonna drag him back in and make him weld stuff too, poor bugger. Man I'm gonna have a few spare bits of powdercoated pipes. Hopefully it won't be to much of an expensive mistake, the bends are only around 40bux each and I just have to get the bungs I need welded onto them so fab costs shouldn't be heaps.
  18. So was it captain canary in the green commo that got a few of you? Told you he is not friendly, hope he wasn't too rough
  19. Well I FINALLY got the plenum and throttle body on and have hit a bit of a problem. Dosent look as though the pipe for the bov (small one straight off the TB) is going to be as straight a fit as I hoped and it's going to fowl on my catch can and the breather lines..........SH1T!!!!!!! I did know it was gonna be tight but didn't think it would be as tight as it is. I have two options from what I can see: 1) Put a 45 degree joiner straight off the TB at a bit of a funny angle and cut about 10-15mm out of the intercooler hole in the body towards the front of the car and then see if the I can get my catch can cut down or something and run the hoses underneath the bov pipe. 2) dummy up some kind of complex piping and the get it fabricated so it all fits. I'm going to try the first option to start with as I think option 2 will have way to many bends Can any body tell me if running a 45deg joiner straight off of the throttle body is still ok? As in will all the runners still get ok flow or would having a bend so close cause one of them to be restricted.
  20. Sorry, my mistake. For some reason I thought you were all taking the ferry.......you can all relax now! I should learn to be quite when I don't have all the facts lol
  21. Guys the Gorge isn't too bad on low cars, just take the corners a bit wider than normal and you'll be fine. The ferry will be more of a concern than the Gorge
  22. Yeh I know, but Aggro converted his NA GT brakes to 33 turbo items so its all good. I got no comeback perhaps I upset him
  23. Sweet, too easy. BTW you are a douche
  24. Yeh it is a really nice peice of work, shame I had to get it coated but it didn't match anything else. And BTW I was only joking, I am NOT hiding all the wiring. At the speed in which I do things it would take me till Christmas.............next year lol
