  1. Only one more sleep! I'll see some of you tonight I suppose, rsl for snitty and bevvies.
  2. That was short lived, what's happened?
  3. +1 There is sooooooo much info on the interwebs stating that you do one or the other, just a waste of time to do both. I really need to pull my finger out and finish my install
  4. +1 for Chris' work, and even if you are interstate Im sure he would coat your rims. He has some really unique colours too Just a couple of things of mine he has done over the years, I have a slight problem when it comes to powdercoating.............LOL
  5. WooHoo, 1000th post! (only took me six years lol) I have the CM7 which says is 10 gallons per hour. So what's that around 380ml per minute?????
  6. I have a pfc and fc data logit I'll get Jez to give me some maps. So I suppose to start with I'll set it for something silly like start boost at 40psi and finish at 50 psi so it just won't come on and get Jez to start from there. I have no idea when it comes to tuning so maybe someone who knows could chime in and let me know if that link makes things sound like a very time consuming exercise or not. I assume it would be the same as getting a full tune with a new ecu. @Titan, thanks for the info mate. When I spoke with coolingmist they suggested the large tank because I do track the car and even they said I will definately go through a lot of meth in these situations.
  7. Yeah true, didn't think of it that way. I'm just a bit lazy I spose and rocket industries is only a 15-20min drive from work so no biggy for me. If I find that I end up going through heaps of the stuff I'll look at mixing it myself. I meant to post this earlier, a good read on how to tune for WMI http://www.romraider.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=33&t=8051
  8. Only one bend so all good, most people seem to start boost at 5 psi and have it all in at whatever max boost pressure they plan to run. I am probably just gonna let Jez pick the sweet spot and see what things are doing low in the load points For 8 x 1 gallon containers it was 110 bux. I know it's more expensive than mixing it yourself but methanol is VERY carcinogenic plus it's not as easy as going 1 litre of water and 1 litre of meth, you have to go by weight apparently. So I have read but this could be incorrect. I'm lucky that my car isn't a daily and sees more track time than street driving lately so I'm not overly concerned about the price
  9. Oh great, let him blow up mine so he can get yours right (Just jokes Jez) Yeh cm7 was what coolingmist advised, out of interest they also told me that the nozzle can be placed pretty much anywhere between the IC and TB and dosent have to be put at around 8-10cm from the TB to get the best effects. This was good news to me because I have very limited room at 8cm due to my bov and catch can and the way my piping is positioned. I'm hoping that I can put the jet on the underside of the pipe just before is turns and goes through the hole into the guard, that way the spray will point straight up and not at a right angle if that makes sense, so it will end up being about 20-30cm from the TB in the end if it all works out.
  10. Joeys injectors seem freakish. My 555's are at around 70% with 280kw as well iirc. Maybe Joey will see this and post up what his duty cycle is, I remember it was pretty high. As with the plazmaman I can't really comment on what gains or losses it made, I upgraded the turbo and changed too many other things at the same time so dunno really. I have been chatting with Jez about the WMI a fair bit so he knows it's coming. I think my car is going to be a little bit of a guinnea p1g for him for WMI tuning. But I am sure he will be happy to log pre & post results for me. I wish I had a ecu that could have multiple maps, thats when the failsafe really pays for itself in the kit I got. If it detects any errors/blockages etc it will send a signal to the ecu and switch maps to a more conservative tune. Cause I only have a pfc ill just set it up to turn off the ebc and run on actuator pressure (15psi) not perfect but better than nothing.
  11. Yeah I'm hoping so, Joeyjoejo.....etc managed 325 on e85 with 555 injectors so I would imagine mine on WMI would be comparible to his. We have similar setups but I have a plazmaman where he is running the factory plenum but he has a fresher engine now I believe. Will be interesting, you do read some stuff out of the states where people are claiming 100-150hp gains from WMI but I am a bit sceptical of those figures tbh.
  12. That's the kit I ended up buying and got the 2.5 gallon tank. I dunno how long it will last yet but should be a while with street use. I'm hoping to install it this weekend then up to Jez for the tune. I'm going to marulan in August for a track day so it will be a good test. I also bought 8 gallons of the snow performance premix water/meth mix so that should do me for a while. I'll post up some before and after results once tuned.
  13. Yeah gave me a bit of a fright the first time it happened lol
  14. Hahahaha Marulan via Yass, roadtrip anyone.
  15. We normally stay at trappers motor in at goulburn (next to the big merino) Matt. About 15-20mins from marulan, bacon and egg roll with coffee at the bakery for breaky ftw
  16. I think so, but it could be a placebo effect. They just tend to feel better IMO and nitrogen dosent expand anywhere near what air does so pressures stay pretty consistent on a track day. Nah not fussy, just a mild case of OCD.........I mean attention to detail lol
  17. I got mine for 1230 bux including wheel alignment and some camber/castor adjustment. That was for 255/45/17 rears and 235/45/17 fronts.........oh and nitrogen for around 8bux Btw ARTZ I think a 235/40 on the front would look kind of odd IMO, but that's just me. Plus with the 40 rear and 45 front the rolling radius is almost perfect, I think there is something like 4mm difference
  18. Yeh true Mich, but I am not a member just yet still have to find 20kw from somewhere. I'm confident the water/meth will get me there though
  19. Last time I checked I didn't think you could get the Nittos in a 45 series??? I could get a 255/40/17 but only a 235/40/17 for the front, that's why I ended up going with the Yokies. Fwiw I got the ad08's much cheaper than 400 a corner. Sorry back on topic now
  20. +1 for AD08's, great tyre. Once they get the heat into them they are awesome
  21. But mine has been running for months Matt, just adding a little extra oomph now
  22. Nitto nt05 is a great tyre, I couldn't get them in the right size in 17 diameter though so went with Yokies ad08. Grippy as all hell. I'm hoping to join the club in the next couple of weeks, my WMI kit has arrived so I'll install this week and get it tuned soon after. Should nudge me into the 300 club
  23. Just read your sig, I've got 20bux on the clutch going first So have you taken it for a good drive yet? After this long it would feel like a new car, a very quick new car lol
  24. Well done Matt, that is an awesome outcome. Makes all the sweat and tears worth it when you get a figure like that. You must take me for a spin at Marulan, I'm not asking, I'm telling you!! Hahahaha
