Thanks for the link Tim but there the wrong size Mmmmmmm, Ill get in touch with THENIG and ask him about the brittleness of the rapid proto stuff. I think he mentioned something about some other type of plastic or resin or whatever it is thats a lot stronger. Ill update in this thread Cheers

I was thinking that to begin with Eric, but I think this rapid prototyping or whatever its called is gonna work out pretty well. Rob (THENIG) has been sooooo helpful in pointing me in the right direction so if all goes to plan Ill be able to get a couple of sets made up so Ive got spares. Then its just a matter of painting them up how i want them. (painting is something I can do Lets hope it works!!!!!

Very similar wheels but an earlier version. I'll post of pics tonight when I get home, my caps have a hex shape and look like what the supercars have as the centre wheel nut if that makes sense. Have a look at the pics in my garage on my sig if you want until i get the pics up

Awesome news thanks a bunch mate, do you reckon if I sent them a wheel cap theycould do the cadd work as well. I do use cadd at work (surveyor) but not in the way you mentioned so for me it's a bit tricky. Might be able to conn one of the road designers upstairs though

Hey Nathan, yeh mate they're the ones, if I new the little buggers were so rare I wouldve been a lot more carefull with them. They do sort of just sit in with little clips on the edge. How is the best way to make a mould up, I've never done it before

Hey peeps, I've recently lost two wheel caps at Wakie from my Rays/Nismo LMGT 1 or 2 (not sure which type I have) rims and have exhausted all avenues trying to replace them as they do not make them any more. This has really really annoyed me so I was thinking if I was to take one of the leftover caps to a fabricator or Injection moulding place would they be able to replicate the caps? Would the cost make it a viable option or is it a waste of time. I know a lot of you are going to say just don't worry about it but IMO the caps are part of what makes the wheels look so special and I don't like haveing that little void in the middle of the wheel. I can't post pics from my phone so have a look at my garage for photos of the rims. Opinions and options please Dave

Hey Guys, Just a quick update to get back on topic. Well Ive called Wakie and they said they havnt found any caps but will keep an eye out for them so that sucks. Does any of you guys know if all Rays caps would fit the older LMGT rims?? as in if I was to get a set of say LMGT4 caps would they still fit?

Thanks for the kind words Drew. I was admiring you ride in the morning and had a little sticky beak at it before lunch, didnt realise it was an N1....Nice. I noticed your blowing a bit of black smoke, maybe running a little on the rich side????? I am verry happy with how my car went on the day just wish I had less offs but I was pushing it pretty hard at times. Ive found that the old story about how a tune really does make or break how the car drives is very very true. Used to run a little over 240kws from a so called "reputable" tuner and the car was an absolute pig to drive. Moved on and now get my tuning done at Unigroup (Shameless plug) and although down on the peak power the car is much faster and feels awsesome to drive. I have had many people comment on how quick and punchy it feels. Never know mate next time I may just pass you!

Mmmmmm, was running the QFM AR1M pads and the rbf fluid. But as my copilot was telling me I was tending to use the brakes too much and with stock rotors that have already been machined twice could maybe have notenough meat left on them??? Calipers may need a rebuild???? I'm just guessing zebra not really sure but I know I was braking waaaay to early and to much at times BTW I'm about half way through reading your build thread....interestin stuff

Bigger brakes are most definately the next thing on the list Matt....had a bit of fade going on on saturday When my Falken 215's (Kind of a semi slick) wear out then yes, better slicks As with suspension already have the whole SK kit and am pretty happy with it till I learn more (I know its not the full gammit but still pretty good IMO) And then when money permits more power, Ive got 235rwkw at the moment which isnt big power I know but is still a pretty nice really responsive car. I know this isnt in the league of you guys but it will come, Ive still got a lot to learn and sub 1:15 isnt that bad for a uber newb

Mate I never even thought about the bloody things comming off to be honest, and if I knew how rare they are I would have taken a LOT more care with them...ah well lesson learned
