you want cheap - go to any good auto elec and ask for 'oex' brand, good and cheap, davies craig is mid range and spal are top end. where you located? OEX make EXCELLENT thermo switches which are cheap too, you after electronic switching or mechanical?

hey peeps, realised i've posted a bit but not introduced myself lol. Name is Matt, I drive an white R33 SII (96 model). Relatively stock, catback exhuast, tein coilovers, boost gauge and a few other goodies (boost controller waiting to go in when i stop being lazy hehe). I work in the IT field after leaving the automotive part import scene I also own a small computer and electronics company, so if anyone needs computers or gadgets let me know I have my hand in a lot of automotoive electronics and computer gear. tell you exactly whats happend, you battery had gone flat, you've recharged it, however its no longer hold a stable charge, so when you crank the car the voltage drops off to maybe 5-10volts which is enough to reset the electrics because the voltage is not bouncing back quick enough when the alternator kicks in. Like light said, check your battery fluid levels this might lengthen the life of the battery a little bit longer, not sure about the 33 S1's, but the S2 have their battery in the boot so its sealed. good luck!

I agree to some extent, there are few variables that are going to make it interesting, some of my mates are running sli gtx's and crossfires, they are saying they can get crysis on high but not very high, says that it will play but as soon as things start to get heavy (lots of gun fights) the computer slows RIGHT down (talking below 20 FPS). But it IS a Beta Demo so the code won't be perfected and there will be a lot of error catching code in there to slow things down. That said there is also some news doing the rounds that DX10.1 will not be compatible with the current set of GTX cards (this I find hard to belive as I can't see the current crop of 8800's changing the actual PCB design to much. I think a lot of this is down to drivers and software, once DX10 is fully fledged I rekon it will be sweet as, most 8800 gts's (mainly 640mb versions) will be able to run crysis on high, and if all your looking for is liek a 22" resolution of 1680 by 1050 you should be sweet. Anything bigger and ur gonna want the gtx for sure though.

should still work on xp, basically it will run under directx 9 but will have all the dx10 functionality turned off. I ran it on my machine with xp pro and dx9, one roommate has xp pro/dx9, the other vista/dx10.

Long live bf2 hehe. both my room mates have pretty heavy duty rigs, both with 8800GTX Ultra's on board, they are getting reasonable performance at the native resolution (1680x1050), but the demo does have a lot of error checking and code that isn't refined. The demo was released as a beta anyway so its to be expected. I tried to run it on my old rig and it booted and played but got the yellow sprites everywhere lol.

If you can run bio shock on high you should be able to get pretty close in crysis. A lot of the stuff in crysis is DX10 dependant (same as bio shock i belive), so until they refine the drivers to match the lower spec hardware (8800gts style) you'll need the gtx's and the like. But I agree, the need for high end hardware hurts the hip pocket these days.

yup, put my pre-order in for the collectors edition ages ago, this is the sole reason for me building my new pc in the meantime, I picked up Team Fortress 2 last week, bloody awesome game that plays on low spec pc's without a problem (i'm talking AGP 6800 Ultra grade lol).

repco should be able to get em, and they wouldn't resell nissan ones. Repco import/manafacture their own, quality should be the same as nissan.

I think LH has done a great job this year, as a rookie he did an unbeliveable job. I think he was a bit arrogant though and thats whats made people hate him. I'm personally not a fan, though i can appreciate the job he put in. At the end of the day though, I'm more than happy to see Kimi get the title. In my books he is 10 times more deserving than anyone else. The constructors title is another mater entirely. Hamilton's gearbox issue was strange, but like you said, he threw it away in china.

couldn't have been a better race for Kimi. Congrats kimi! I think FA was quit happy with the result, i think he would have been happy with anyone winning the championship (including him) as long as it wasn't hamilton.

hey mate, thanks, like I said, I'll be as transperant as possible, you guys will know what I know. The biggest problem with jaycar's suppliers is delivery dates, once you get a way to work around that everything should be smooth.
