  1. accessories I buy overseas from Citiwide, that includes my selection of Lenses, Canon have a world wide warranty on their Lenses which means you can get them serviced locally if you you buy them from grey market (haven't had to try yet though). That doesn't include the camera body which I bought locally. Some great deals online these days!
  2. cheers matt, yeah I'm kicking myself, I forgot to charge camera batteries the night before so I charged em in the morning. Flash batteries didn't get enough charge though as I only have a trickle charger, had enough for a test shot and that was it lol. doh.
  3. Took a heap of shots over the weekend at the Kenilworth MTB race, as well as a few of our dogs Sorry bout the bombardment! First time shooting MTB so was definitely a challenge, especially with no flash lol
  4. its not necessary to purchase a new fly wheel, machining the old one is fine. That said, I have the exedy lightweight in my car and it makes a big difference. Most of those seals can go in while you are doing the clutch, but you'll need to split the gearbox I think (someone else may know more than I) to put some of those seals in which is not a small/quick job. Rear main would only make your clutch slip if its leaking and getting oil on the clutch itself, which will be easy to tell once you drop the clutch. Good practice to replace that seal anyway while your in there IMO though anyway.
  5. 100% Agree and offered my help a number of times and was told 'no thanks we have enough people'. Members are what make the club in any instance, but its up to the execs to make the members feel like that are apart of the club, not just a financial member. Its really simple stuff, like sending out emails to the club members when events are on etc... I don't come on the forums everyday just to check event postings etc... When you got to the actual events, things were great that wasn't a problem, very professionally run and all went smoothly. It was when you were away from the events I struggled to work out what was going on. I honestly felt that all I got for my membership last time was a few stickers. Don't get me wrong, everyone I spoke to (including excecs) were brilliant people and great to talk to, but I struggled to work out who was who, what was going on and when. I have had a look at the SAU QLD website and gone over the events and there are a number of events I'd like to do. I'll happily rejoin to attend these events and meet up with the new exec team. Look forward to catching up over drinks trackside. Matt

  24. sounds like its going to be a pretty heavy laptop, the i7 was designed as a desktop processor as opposed to a laptop. Price seems fairly good though. I rate HP's pretty high imo, try and stick with their pro/elitebook series though (can be a bit expensive sometimes), they have a unibody made out of magnesium, very solid laptop. specs seem reasonable though, smallish screen though for gaming? depends how portable you want it. my 0.2
