  7. hi all, After some info on the best way to approach this. I currently have an safc2 fitted to a series 1 r33 gtst it has full turbo back 3 inch with hi flow magnaflow metal cat standard turbo apexi pod and ebc set at 10 psi, r34 smic. Currently sitting at 171 rwkw tuned by mercury in bris. I have been finally able to obtain a apexi sitc, (rare as rocking horse shit), question is once it is installed will i require a full retune or is it a matter of mechanics having a fair idea of settings, also what do i need to explain to the tuner that i want to sacrifice top end power to give it more low end pull (rarely rev it over 6000 rpm). Thanks
  8. I'm glad you asked lol. I use a small local company in brisbane got on to them through my work they are called prolube. they sell most of their oils cheaper cause they concentrate on commercial sector, im currently running their syntegra 5w40 synthetic in the engine $36.27 for 5 litres, was using fuchs synthetic (again through work) find the prolube oil holds pressure much better and car seems to run heaps better on the prolube.
  9. got mine replaced by driveline services dont know any part numbers but bearing was $70
  10. Thanks fellas, will try out my $23 for 5 litre synthetic gearbox oil and $23 for 5 litre limited slip diff oil.

  15. just a tip for you all i use a product called Shellite (also known as lighter fluid in some brands). Shellite is a product called x55 from shell and is also used as automatic transmission cleaner as it is the fastest drying solvent, it is also the carrier used in tyre shine it drys off and leaves the silicone to coat the tyres. Shellite (x55) is also brake cleaner i have displayed this to several mechanics who were paying up to $100 for a 20 litre drum of brake cleaner and i gave them 1 litre of shellite (x55) and they said that hey thats the same, i know it is because i used to pour shellite (x55) into 20 litre drums and place brake clean stickers on them and freight them to victoria. a 50/50 mix of shellite and mineral turps is used as wax and grease remover. to clean out my intercooler i pour 2 litres of shellite (x55) into it place my hands over the in/ outlet and shake it up and down then pour the now very black shellite out and let it dry (drys quickly as i said it is the fastest drying solvent.
  16. I had a clicking noise when i got my engine changed found out it was under the bonnet a clip had came loose and was jamming the little valve that controls hot and cold water on the firewall, thus the climate control was trying to introduce more or less water to control temps but obviously couldnt because valve was jammed
  17. Another reason they can blink fast is iff you replace your blinkers with smaller ones like i did it lowers the resistance and the flasher unit thinks there is a blown globe you either need a different flasher unit or wire in some larger globes like i did
  18. sound hasnt changed much at all, boost picked up from 10 psi to about 11.5 and notice it so much more when you back off the car just rolls on, next is dump pipe then retune

  24. Hi Guys, Just want to give a rap to Driveline services in archerfield, recently (since new clutch install) my r33 was developing vibrations at 100kmh, i went to driveline services they threw it up on the hoist checked it out and discovered mechanic had put prop shaft in 180 deg off. they unbolted prop shaft realigned and retightened. All up they spent about 45 minutes on my car checking things over plus rectifying the prop shaft and after all that they refused to accept any payment and said they were glad to help. Thumbs up from me good to see a company with great customer service and terrific advice and knowledge.
